* Eleven is easily ''Series/StrangerThings''' most recognizable character.

* ''Creator/DevolverDigital'' parodied the concept of video game mascots in their 2023 Direct with "Volvy the Vole", the supposed mascot of Devolver who was once considered the most popular video game mascot of his time and had even appeared in prior DD works such as ''Videogame/CultOfTheLamb'' and ''Videogame/HotlineMiami'' until an [[DarkerAndEdgier overly edgy 7th Gen version of the character]] caused him to be retired. Officially, Devolver has no real mascot.

* Website/{{Newgrounds}} often advertises with characters from their most popular hosted series, but two faces stand out over the rest:

* Creator/{{Nintendo}}: There's Mario, the main character of the ''[[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Super Mario]]'' series and its numerous spin-offs, who is the mascot for Nintendo as a whole. To a slightly lesser extent, Mario is the face of the cast in the ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'' crossovers, and is joined by Link in ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosUltimate''. Other characters from the ''Super Mario'' series will follow along, and the theme park Super Nintendo World is solely based on the series.

* VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog has been Creator/{{Sega}}'s mascot since 1991. VideoGame/AlexKidd is commonly remembered as having been Sega's mascot before Sonic, though [[VideoGame/FantasyZone Opa-Opa]] was actually used more often for cameos back then.

** Most logos throughout the history of Creator/WarnerBrosAnimation used WesternAnimation/BugsBunny, but starting in 2018, Daffy (with [[DependingOnTheWriter his wackier Bob Clampett persona]]) started being used.

* ''VideoGame/{{Pikmin}}'' has, obviously, the Pikmin; the little cute race of PlantAliens that the game centers around. Nintendo likes to feature them prominently in portions of their handhelds and consoles UI, most notably with system transfers for both the [[UsefulNotes/Nintendo3DS 3DS]] and the UsefulNotes/WiiU (when transferring original Wii data).

* [[UsefulNotes/AmstradCPC Amstrad]]'s first-party label Amsoft named its mascot after executive Roland Perry. Roland became the star of eight mediocre to awful games, which never established any consistent model for drawing him.

* UsefulNotes/{{Xbox}} tried the cute variation with ''VideoGame/{{Blinx}}'', but the series ended up being a StillbornFranchise when the game was criticized for its clunky controls. [[Franchise/{{Halo}} Master Chief]] is considered the Xbox mascot now.

* ''VideoGame/EldenRing'': [[Characters/Elden RingMalenia Malenia, Blade of Miquella.]] In-game, she's a {{Superboss}}. In ''Elden Ring'''s advertising, she gets in all the trailers and TV spots (her theme music was even used for the story trailer),[[note]]Phase one of it plays over the siege of Leyndell while phase two plays during our brief glimpse of her battle with Radahn, continuing into Ranni's ending narration.[[/note]] gets referenced by officials websites and social media accounts with regularity, and is plastered all over the physical marketing, [[https://gamerant.com/elden-ring-malenia-statue-mall/ including nearly to-scale statues in stores.]] The game's [[https://assets-prd.ignimgs.com/2021/11/04/elden-ring-collectors-edition-1636036230103.jpeg collector's edition]] came in a box adorned with her heraldry (golden tree on a crimson field), and also included a 9-inch statue of her. * ''Franchise/TheHitchhikersGuideToTheGalaxy'': Oddly enough, the promotional mascot for the Hitchhiker's universe (in the USA) is a little green guy that never appears in [[Literature/TheHitchhikersGuideToTheGalaxyTrilogy the books]] (or [[Series/TheHitchhikersGuideToTheGalaxy1981 TV show]], or [[Film/TheHitchhikersGuideToTheGalaxy2005 movie]], or [[Radio/TheHitchhikersGuideToTheGalaxy1978 radio show]], or [[VideoGame/TheHitchhikersGuideToTheGalaxy1984 computer game]]...) themselves -- though most fans consider Marvin to be the series' real mascot.

* Nugget is the character featured on most of the merchandise for the ''VideoGame/{{Kindergarten}}'' [[VideoGame/Kindergarten2 games]]. He wasn't originally designed to be this, but got the role when his amusing {{Cloudcuckoolander}} personality made him the EnsembleDarkhorse of the first game.

* Creator/TheWB television network used [[WesternAnimation/OneFroggyEvening Michigan J. Frog]] as one.

** Franchise/MickeyMouse is undoubtedly one of the most famous mascots of all time, serving as the face of the Walt Disney Company. His friends Franchise/DonaldDuck and WesternAnimation/{{Goofy}} aren't too far behind either.

* Tanatos, Alister Dalimar's raven familiar, developed into this for the Ravenhearst StoryArc of ''VideoGame/MysteryCaseFiles''.

* The Fiend from ''VideoGame/{{Quake}}'', who was also the mascot for Creator/IdSoftware in the latter half of TheNineties.
* The Raiden jet from ''VideoGame/{{Raiden}}'' and ''VideoGame/RaidenFighters'' series. The fifth ''Raiden'' game even splits it into various models.
* Pyramid Head, a giant-knife-wielding monster who stalks the protagonist of ''VideoGame/SilentHill2'', is this for the entire ''Franchise/SilentHill'' series as well.

* Bender Bending Rodriguez, the lovable hedonistic {{jerkass}} of a TinCanRobot, serves as this for ''WesternAnimation/{{Futurama}}''.
* Bart Simpson was the first big mascot for ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons''. Remember all the T-shirts from the 90's with [[CatchPhrase "Ay Caramba" and "Don't Have a Cow, Man!"]], not to mention [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Do_the_Bartman "Do the Bartman"]]? Eventually the position was taken over by his father Homer Simpson instead, whose distinctive face will always show up in promotional content and licensed merchandise.

* ''Anime/MyNeighborTotoro'': The big, fluffy forest spirit Totoro plays this role for Creator/StudioGhibli.
* ''Creator/StudioTrigger'' has Miss Trigger, [[spoiler:or [[Anime/SpacePatrolLuluco Luluco]], as which she's also known]]. The other two Trigger Girls (Muzzle and Spring) are original, fitting more under {{Mascot}}.
* ''Creator/ToeiAnimation'' has Pero, their version of ''Literature/PussInBoots'' from ''Anime/TheWonderfulWorldOfPussNBoots''.

* Creator/DCComics:
** ComicBook/{{Superman}}, ComicBook/{{Batman}}, and ComicBook/WonderWoman. All three of them are collectively known as DC’s trinity.

* Creator/MarvelComics:
** ComicBook/SpiderMan and ComicBook/{{Wolverine}}.

** For the Anthem Era, we have Wrestling/EddieEdwards, Wrestling/SamiCallihan, [[Wrestling/QuinnOjinnaka Moose]], Rich Swann, Brian Cage, Eli Drake, [[Wrestling/KarrionKross Killer Kross]], Josh Alexander and Steve Maclin as the top stars of Impact Wrestling. For the X-Division, we have Trey Miguel, Mike Bailey, Ace Austin and Chris Bey as well.

* ''WesternAnimation/TheSecretLifeOfPets'' has Snowball as he’s voiced by highest paid comedian Creator/KevinHart and has been the main promoted character in the franchise because of that. Even appearing on the Creator/{{Illumination}} logo with the [[WesternAnimation/DespicableMe Minions]].

* Pochita of ''Manga/ChainsawMan'', Denji's adorable dog-like Chainsaw Devil. Unlike most examples, he's mostly absent from the series because the first chapter has him fuse with Denji and save his life to turn him into the titular HalfHumanHybrid.

* Optimus Prime, the leader for the good guys the Autobots, is this in almost every ''{{Transformers}}'' incarnation. Though after [[Film/{{Transformers}} the live-action movie]], [[KidAppealCharacter Bumblebee]] started giving him a run for his money.

** The [[PandaingToTheAudience Panda]], who debuted in "C'mon" and "Timber" in ''2014'' and has since become a RecurringCharacter within the series. His likeness is used to promote ''Just Dance'' and he's even the protagonist of the All Stars Mode in ''2020''!

* ''Manga/RanmaOneHalf'': Genma Saotome's [[EverythingsBetterWithPandas panda]] form is the most likely to appear for all promotions and merchandising, though Ranma's [[GenderBender female]] form is a close runner-up (toeing the line between "cute" and "hot").

** The short, cute, big-eyed plant critters known as mandragora have achieved the status of ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXI'' mascot both in official and unofficial works. In-game, there are numerous mandragora-themed equippable items to find, many of which have the ability to change the character's appearance to a mandragora. Mandragora have a prominent place in much of the official promotional artwork as well. The [[TheWikiRule first and most important fan-made wiki]] as well the unsanctioned third-party windower program both use the mandragora as a mascot as well. Mandragoras have even appeared as the game's contribution to other games in the same company, such as appearing as a summon in ''[[VideoGame/DissidiaFinalFantasy Dissidia]]''.

* ''WebOriginal/{{Mortasheen}}'' has [[http://www.bogleech.com/mortasheen/chainsawkid.htm Chainsaw Kid]], who's a bit more on the UglyCute (and, obviously, ChainsawGood) side of the spectrum.
