* Cook-Cook, one of the Fiend leaders in FalloutNewVegas, fights with a flamethrower. He's also implied to be completely psychotic, and his pyromania, combined with some of his [[ImAHumanitarian other]] [[RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil hobbies]], puts him firmly in CompleteMonstor territory.

* The ''{{Bionicle}}'' fandom likes to joke about [[PlayingWithFire Tahu]] possibly being one of these. ("BURN STUFF!") became a popular [[MemeticMutation meme]] at one point. Occasionally referenced in the canon:

* In Kidd Radd, the protagonists come across a colony of NPCs who, being invincible, have odd party games one of which is called Blatant Pyromania. It's played by setting yourself on fire. Sheena and Radd get in on it too. Sheena, an NPC, finds it surprisingly fun; Radd has an understandably less enthusiastic opinion.

* Whiplash's "Burning of Atlanta", which is about a pyromaniac setting Atlanta on fire.

A Pyromaniac is someone who either enjoys lighting fires or feels compelled to light fires. Pyromaniacs [[PlayingWithFire play with fire]], [[KillItWithFire kill things with fire]], and generally [[ThisIndexIsOnFire make and use fire whenever they can]]. They generally think fire is completely awesome or just wanna see things burn. Nice.

* One of the toughest mooks who come after the ''BlackLagoon'' company in the end of the first season was a pyromaniac wielding a flamethrower. [[spoiler:He was eventually defeated when Revy managed to shoot his fuel tank. [[StuffBlowingUp KABOOOOOM!]]]]

* [[{{Ripliad}} Tom Ripley]] is an unusualy calm example of this. Because his parents died of drowning, he has something of a phobia of water and a corresponding comfort with fire. Thus, he feels really good in one book when he torches some mobsters' car with the occupants still inside.

* Izzy from ''{{Total Drama Island}}'' was the first member of the team to successfully start a fire with a massive explosion while laughing like a lunatic and we later found out she burned down the messhall at her military camp.

* [[{{Yangire}} Kafuka]] of ''SayonaraZetsubouSensei'' is likely a pyromaniac. In one episode, she encourages the equally crazy Chiri to act like a {{dojiko}}, and part of Chiri's ComedicSociopathy entails burning down the school. Kafuka watches with a completely mad look of satisfaction on her face. There's also the early episode where Kafuka and Itoshiki drove Kiri Komori out of her home in an attempt to solve Kirki's truancy from school. Part of the process involved Kafuka lighting a number of incense candles, and in a later episode, Kafuka comments about Kiri's house burning down. Makes you wonder if the candles did it or if Kafuka went back later to finish the job.
