[[folder:Comic Books]]
* Pietro "Quicksilver" Maximoff from XMen certainly counts as this, as well as a WhiteHairedPrettyBoy.
** [[DependingOnTheArtist It depends on the artist, however]]. For example, in WolverineAndTheXMen, he looks even older than his father.
* Lucifer from the {{Sandman}} comics.
* Some of the ''{{Elfquest}}'' elves are depicted this way, particularly Gliders.
* In ''FinalCrisis Aftermath: Dance'', the [[LegacyCharacter successor]] to Boss Bosozoku of Big Science Action (Japan's main superhero team) is Boss Bishonen.
* Billy "The Beaut" Russo used to be this, but after ThePunisher got through with him... well there's a reason he is now called "Jigsaw".
* Ladies and gentlemen, we would now like to present [[http://www.comicsalliance.com/2010/02/02/the-seven-most-amazingly-shojo-moments-in-x-men-misfits/ X-Men Misfits]], wherein even ''Magneto'' is hilariously a pretty boy.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Film]]
* Zac Efron. He actually manages to look less bishonen in the [[http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/highschoolmusicalmanga.jpg manga adaptation]] of HighSchoolMusical.
* The race of fair-skinned long haired peroxide boys from ''LordOfTheRings'' comes to mind.
** Even ''Sauron'' was [[http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Sauron_bishonen.jpg revealed to be one]].
* Didier Revol the French exchange student in ''SonOfRambow'' is so beautiful that EvenTheGuysWantHim.
* Shua in ''Film/SkyBlue''.
* Jareth, the Goblin King, from ''{{Labyrinth}}'', who is played by DavidBowie, who is mentioned below.
* Many vampires in ''InterviewWithTheVampire'' arguably fit in the pretty boy aesthetic, making them look androgynous.
** Justified in that many were chosen to vamped because they were so pretty. Reading the sequel The Vampire Lestat, the as-of-then unvamped Lestat comes across the corpses of almost identical yet deemed inferior men Magnus had rejected.
* Brian Slade of ''VelvetGoldmine'' fits this trope rather well, as one might reasonably expect from a nineteen-year-old JonathanRhysMeyers in make up...
* The historical figure Synesius of Cyrene is portrayed as this in {{Agora}}. His role is played by RupertEvans.
* Pretty much every character Jude Law plays, but especially in ''Wilde'' and ''Alfie'', where that was pretty much his character description.
* Luke from ''Film/{{Cherrybomb}}'', to the point where Yaoi fangirls started suggesting (some of them quite aggressively) that Rupert Grint's character [[FanPreferredCouple should get with HIM]] instead of the female lead, on the basis that "Luke is prettier". To be fair, the levels of HoYay in this movie probably made this reaction unavoidable.
* John Connor as portrayed by EdwardFurlong in ''{{Terminator}} 2'' is a younger example.
** (Arguably, EdwardFurlong in almost all his roles in his teens and 20's.)
* Ra in {{Stargate}}, creepily.
* The two leads in ''WithnailAndI'' look like they've have been battered and malnourished for far too long, but still... "I" has the same looks as he had for the [[Series/DoctorWho Eighth Doctor]] and Withnail is pouty-mouthed, has big blue eyes and his hair goes fluffy when they hit the countryside. The battered factor even adds to the appeal.
* Michael Cimino's ''TheDeerHunter'' has Nick, played by a very young, very pretty ChristopherWalken.
** Effective DawsonCasting. Walken was 35.
* Dwayne from ''LittleMissSunshine''.
* JohnnyDepp, in [[http://www.deppimpact.com/gallery/albums/caps_djd/djd329.JPG nearly every role]] he's ever played ([[http://www.deppimpact.com/gallery/albums/caps_es/edward007.JPG less so than usual]] in ''EdwardScissorhands'', least of all [[http://www.deppimpact.com/gallery/albums/caps_libertine/libertine1021.JPG in the later part]] of ''TheLibertine''.)
* Loki in ''Film/{{Thor}}''.
* Leonard Whiting from Franco Zaferelli's film adaptation of ''RomeoAndJuliet''. Most of the comments of this [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtJJ0Ex5wk8&feature=related old interview]] of him and co-star Olivia Hussey on YouTube are about how he looks like ZacEffron.
* Adam Beach. That plains Indians, despite being tall, have been considered the contemporary version of this trope for centuries, helps.
* Seems to be a [[StarWars Skywalker]] family trait.
* LeonardoDicaprio back in his ''{{Titanic}}'' and ''ManInTheIronMask'' days.
* Patrick in ''TenThingsIHateAboutYou''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Literature]]
* The ''Literature/HonorHarrington'' series by David Weber uses the trope extensively. The two biggest examples are [[GodModeSue Victor Cachat]] who is described as being young and ''very'' cute at least once in every book he appears in and Jeremy X who was genetically engineered to be one (he is designed to the point were he can't have any facial hair even!) It is helped along and [[JustifiedTrope justified]] by all the GattacaBabies roaming around, MagicPlasticSurgery, and by the pro-long life extension treatments that can make a hardened military officer that is over 40 years old look like he is barely out of high school.
* Dorian Gray in OscarWilde's ''ThePictureOfDorianGray'' is described as intoxicatingly, androgynously beautiful. Making this.
* Aramis in ''TheThreeMusketeers'' is described as being as pretty as a woman. Of course, he's the one of the Musketeers who's most popular with women.
** At least two of his lovers sometimes [[{{Bifauxnen}} disguise themselves as men]].
* Raziel in ''Literature/LambTheGospelAccordingToBiff'' is pretty enough even to provoke StupidSexyFlanders moments from the FirstPersonSmartass protagonist, Biff. It's apparently a standard angel trait.
* Genji in ''CloudOfSparrows'', who is described as 'too pretty for a man'.
** As is the character's namesake, Hikaru Genji from ''The Tale of Genji'', making this OlderThanPrint.
* ''TheWarAgainstTheChtorr''. Lizard and Ted describe the teenage protagonist Jim [=McCarthy=] this way, though he doesn't believe them. But definitely the case with Shaun -- a sixteen year-old, bisexual attendant on the luxury airship ''Hieronymus Bosch'', whose duties include prostitution and [[ChildSoldiers military defence]].
* The protagonists in the WarchildSeries are usually described this way, even when they have extensive combat training and are capable of great violence. The third book, "Cagebird" has a protagonist described as cherubic-looking who eventually becomes a prostitute/assassin, and the protagonist from her second book is described as a beautiful boy with large, kittenish eyes.
* [[http://www.shakespeare-online.com/sonnets/20.html Shakespeare's Sonnet 20]]. The young boy is described as such: "A woman's face with Nature's own hand painted hast thou, the master-mistress of my passion", until Nature "[[DoubleEntendre pricked him out]] for woman's pleasure." So this is OlderThanSteam.
* The [[TheRashomon temporary protagonist]] of ''Crow on the Bridge'' by Max Frei reminisces meeting one of these:
-->Entered the room a [[ReallySevenHundredYearsOld young]] [[{{bifauxnen}} man]] of such a blinding beauty that to me it seemed not as much pleasant to the eye as absolutely out of place in the given circumstances. Really, here happens such things, i should make the Gloves of Death and it's yet unknown how to survive this fancy-work; civil war continues for umpteenth year in Conjoined Kingdom, and ultimately the world will fall soon; and he walks here with such a look as if a human had no more important task than to look beautiful. My feelings were about these, though when spoken aloud they sound absurd, i see it myself.
* All of the male vampires in ''Literature/{{Twilight}}''. They even come with the BishieSparkle ''pre-packaged''.
* There are a bunch in ''ASongOfIceAndFire'':
** Ser Loras Tyrell is described as "beautiful" rather than handsome, called "The Knight of Flowers" and clad in rainbow armour [[spoiler:until he joined the Kingsguard]]. Of course, this is probably to do with the fact that he's only about sixteen at the start of the series.
** Joffrey Baratheon, who is described as a combination of his sister Myrcella and his uncle Jaime [[spoiler:who also happens to be his father.]]
** Rhaegar Targaryen was a beautiful WhiteHairedPrettyBoy who despite being a great warrior, was also a sensitve/emo man who liked to play the lyre (fans have joked that the character seems to have walked out of an anime or a JRPG).
** "Young Griff" is a beautiful young man who has long eye lashes and dyes his hair [[YouGottaHaveBlueHair blue]] [[spoiler: He's actually Aegon Targaryen, the son of the above Rhaegar, or at least a convincing impostor]].
* The title character of ''BillyBudd''.
* It's implied that Henry from ''[[TheTimeTravelersWife The Time Traveler's Wife]]'' is one. Apart from being called "pretty" on occasion, it's also mentioned that he looks a good deal like his HotMom.
* From ''HarryPotter'' we have Cedric Diggory AKA "Pretty Boy Diggory"...
** After he finds out that Cedric is already going out with Cho, Harry describes him as a "useless pretty boy".
* We'd better not even begin to describe Tadzio from ''Death in Venice''...
** In fact, the actor who portrayed Tadzio in the 1971 FilmOfTheBook, then-14-year-old [[http://media.photobucket.com/image/death%20in%20venice/lyds89/vampiros/DEATH_IN_VENICE-26.jpg?o=23 Bjorn Andresen,]] was so ''mind-numbingly'' beautiful that [[http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2003/oct/16/gender.film his life actually began to mirror that of his character's.]] It's not a comfortable story to hear, and it makes him a TruthInTelevision case of SoBeautifulItsACurse.
* LesMiserables brings us both Enjolras and Montparnasse.
* ''Finding H.F.'': Bo, H.F.'s best friend (and [[spoiler:likely half-brother]]) definitely qualifies. He takes utmost care of his appearance, his wavy blond hair.
* Sufi poetry extolls the beauty of beardless boys, and some mystics believe such boys represent the perfectness of God.
* ''Literature/{{Fablehaven}}'' has the LastEpisodeNewCharacter Bracken, who is tall, willowy, youthful, and has [[WhiteHairedPrettyBoy long, soft silver-white hair]].
* Diane Duane's YoungWizards series gives us Roshaun ke Nelaid, a HumanAlien prince with HairOfGold and [[RoyalBrat a really stuck-up attitude]]. [[ItGotBetter He gets better]].
* This is the defining characteristic of Markus in the ''LonelyWerewolfGirl'' books. Apparently he looks even [[{{Crossdresser}} hotter in a frock too]].
* [[TheOutsiders Sodapop Curtis]] is described as being incredibly handsome and looking a lot like his (most likely [[HotMom hot]]) mother. Cue TheFilmOfTheBook, where he is ''definitely'' this, because he's played by Rob Lowe.
* Despite the [[ScarsAreForever scars]], many characters in WickedLovely explicitly refer to Niall as 'pretty boy'.
* Lord John Grey from the ''Literature/{{Outlander}}'' series of books ([[SpinOff and eventually his own]]). He's described as blonde, pretty, and a bit on the petite side.
* Torak from TheBelgariad was often described as “overly pretty” (that was before he had the left side of his body burned off of course).
* Francis from ''TheSecretHistory'' is described like one of these, as well as a fastidiously flamboyant dresser. Charles, too, but only because [[HalfIdenticalTwins he looks like Camilla]].
* Vanyel Ashkevron from the Velgarth books.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Live-Action TV]]
* Vince Noir from TheMightyBoosh. [[http://i30.tinypic.com/o93l7q.jpg]]
* In the ''{{Bones}}'' episode "The Girl in the Mask", a doctor flies in from Japan to aid with the investigation and the team spends most of the episode trying to figure out his/her gender. Angela divines at the end of the episode through a very thorough hug that he/she is a man, despite the fact that the character was played by a woman.
** Also, Dr. Lance Sweets.
* The Tenth [[Series/DoctorWho Doctor]]. Other than oft-repeated fangirl affirmation, there's also:
-->'''River Song:''' Pretty boy! With me I said.\\
(Long pause. Donna looks at the Doctor suggestively.)\\
'''Doctor:''' Oh, ''I'm'' "Pretty Boy"!\\
'''Donna:''' Yes!" (shocked at her own enthusiasm) "Oh, that came out a bit quick."
** The Eleventh Doctor is what happens when PrettyBoy meets {{Adorkable}}.
** The Eighth Doctor ''definitely'' counts. Some fans jokingly call him The Oncoming Pretty.
* Spencer Reid of ''CriminalMinds'', played by Matthew Gray Gubler. As co-star Shemar Moore bluntly put it, [[http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/entertainmentfeatures/view/1016904/1/.html "Matthew is so pretty he's almost a girl."]] Yep, Dr. Reid is practically the living, breathing ''definition'' of this trope.
* [[{{Supernatural}} Dean. Winchester]]. His face is the perfect combination of prettiness and manliness.
** Also [[OurAngelsAreDifferent Castiel]], who ups the ante by also being slender and being the shortest (barely) of the main {{Supernatural}} trio.
-->'''Japanese gameshow host:''' Mr. Trickster does not like pretty-boy angels!
*** Co-star JaredPadalecki has said of Collins: "With those big BlueEyes, he can't play a demon. They're like 'aww...' he's too pretty."
* DarkAngel has a younger and prettier JensenAckles as twins Ben and Alec. The latter has StoicSpectacles in one episode.
* Derek Jupiter on ''I'm in the Band''.
* Charlie Pace in ''{{Lost}}'', particularly during his clean shaven phase.
* The title role of ''Tom Jones'' in the 1997 BBC version (Max Beesley).
* Chase on ''{{House}}''.
-->'''Dr. Foreman:''' Chase, you're a pretty boy. Works well with the ladies, not so much with the patients. No one wants an underwear model performing their splenectomy.
* ''{{Glee}}'''s Kurt Hummel, to an absolute tee. All he's missing are the [[BishieSparkle sparkles]]... and even then, he sometimes [[PerformanceArtist provides his own]].
** Speaking of {{Glee}}, Sam is quite the PrettyBoy as well. Pretty, with long hair, muscles, and a gorgeous smile. He's so pretty, he has to have his [[ShirtlessScene shirt off every other scene]].
* Like [[{{Supernatural}} Dean]], [[PrisonBreak Michael]] (WentworthMiller) is the perfect combination of prettiness and manliness.
-->'''T-Bag:''' One things for sure, you just as pretty as advertised. Prettier even.
* Nathan from ''{{Misfits}}''.
* ''Series/MrBrain'': In "Eccentric Neuroscientist vs. Beautiful Revived Ghost" the "beautiful revived ghost" isn't a woman. The ghost is played by the very pretty, yet very male {{Gackt}}. Gackt himself finds Gackt rather tasty.
* Vincent Chase from ''{{Entourage}}''.
* Niles Crane in the early seasons of ''{{Frasier}}''.
* Spike from ''BuffyTheVampireSlayer'' was this as William the Bloody(-Awful Poet) before he was bitten.
* Shawn Hunter from ''BoyMeetsWorld'' was pretty enough that at one point [[AttractiveBentGender he passes very convincingly as a girl]]. However, he grew out of it near the end of the show's run, especially after he grew a beard.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Music]]
* {{Gackt}} is a living breathing example of this. Even he admits it. In nine* nine Gackt is shown some pictures of himself when he was younger to which he responds, "I was a total bishonen back then.... But now I'm a biseinen." The difference being bishonen technicality applies to only boys in their teens but biseinen applies to adults.
* [[ThisIsSparta Every. Boy. Band. Ever.]]
* Guitarist [[http://guitarinternational.com/files/2010/05/JG-1B.jpg Josh Gooch]]. Yes that is a man.
* [[http://roflrazzi.files.wordpress.com/2010/12/funny-celebrity-pictures-gerard-freaking-way.jpg Gerard Way]], anyone? His on-stage sassiness/"obvious" gayness towards fellow band member Frank Iero doesn't help.
* Bill Kaulitz. Some of the other members of Tokio Hotel may count as well.
** Lately, both he and his twin brother Tom have taken to growing a beard and mustache. Intentionally to shrug the image? Who knows.
* Teenage pop singer Justin Bieber.
* [[PanicAtTheDisco Brendon Urie.]]
* The late Keith Relf of The Yardbirds: [[http://www.raw-tcsd.com/yardbirds%20keith%20relf%20ger9919942.jpg]]

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Religion and Mythology]]
* In NorseMythology, Balder is so pretty that ''everything in the universe'' pledges their love to him. Except one little bit of undergrowth, and what are the odds someone like [[MagnificentBastard Loki]] would weaponize ''that'' and get someone to shoot it into your heart? Oh, I don't know...
* The [[GreekMythology Greek god]] Dionysus in some depictions, such as {{Euripides}}' ''{{Bacchae}}''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Tabletop Games]]
* A [[FanFic fan-made]] chapter of the {{Space Marine}}s of {{Warhammer40K}} fame, the Pretty Marines. They have some sort of gland that creates the [[BishieSparkle sparkle]], and their guns have roses on them. Their scouts are [[CuteShotaroBoy cute shotaro boys,]] and they have [[YaoiFangirl legions of female fans]]. And this is all well and good... just watch out for the ''[[FaceHeelTurn Chaos]]'' Pretty Marines.
** And as "pretty boy" as you can get canonically in the ultra-gritty universe of {{Warhammer 40000}}, there's both [[OurElvesAreBetter the Eldar]], to a point, and the Primarch of the BloodAngels, Sanguinis, who has [[WingedHumanoid angel wings]] and everything (of course, his death caused all the SuperSoldier armies based on him to become [[OurVampiresAreDifferent bloodthirsty and prone to going insane]])
*** Eldar, "To a point"?
-->"The Eldar are physically similar to humans, but with longer, cleaner limbs, slim and elegant features, pointed ears, and penetrating eyes."
*** Additionally the chapters based on Sanguinis' gene seed are also noted as being somewhat prettier than the other marines.
** The Emperor's Children (Chaos) Space Marine Legion. So Bishonen that they are derrisively referred to as "peacocks" by most of the other legions while they are still loyal to the Imperium's cause. Their primarch, Fulgrim, is one of the prettiest humans alive. Furthermore, even after falling to Chaos, they continue trying to make themselves look as alluring and attractive as possible, part of their pact with the Chaos god Slaanesh. It doesn't help that their armour is various shades of purple and pink...
*** Pretty much any follower of Slaanesh in either classic Warhammer or Warhammer 40k qualifies. The Emperor's Children were always bishonen, after falling in thrall to Slaanesh they became more like [[IncrediblyLamePun Bosch-onen]].
**** Unlike the Pretty Marines, the pre-Heresy Emperor's Children were just as brutal and ruthless as any other Space Marines, so looks can be deceiving.
* "Bishonen Look" is an Advantage in ''{{GURPS}}'' (introduced in ''GURPS [[HumongousMecha Mecha]]''), which works like Attractive, except the bonus to reaction roles apply to both sexes. In 4e the same Advantage is simply named "Androgynous".
* ''{{Exalted}}''. To give just a few examples: the Solars Moray Darktide and Swan, the Infernal Captain Gyrfalcon, the Abyssal known as the Prince of Shadows, and the Alchemical known as Voice of Authority. There are many others.
* The 3rd Edition of {{Nobilis}} whimsically notes that mysterious bishounen are usually Imperators, Powers, Excrucians, or the offspring of the Star-Beast Qot. In the event they happen to be human, they're probably not that mysterious.
* Despite metal growing out of his body, and his muscles, and [[WalkingShirtlessScene clothing so scanty as to show off those muscles]], ''MagicTheGathering'''s Koth of the Hammer has a very pretty face.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Theatre]]
* Since the {{Takarazuka}} in Japan is composed entirely of women actors playing both male and female roles, it's no surprise that male roles often look a little Bishonen. Case in point, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spFt2yf8D7U Wao Youka]] as the PhantomOfTheOpera, or [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfkbABgyVzk Shizuka Asato (Zunko)]] as Der Tod from {{Elisabeth}}.
* Herbert von Krolock in ''TanzDerVampire'' is one of these whenever the actor's makeup can create the effect, and the results tend to be [[http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd245/weshouldbefriends/Tim%20Reichwein/omggorgeous.jpg stunning]]. His father, meanwhile, looks like the less fortunate end result of the formula "PrettyBoy + age + suffering and guilt".
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Video Games]]
* ''Any'' of the main male characters of the ''FinalFantasy'' games, at least once graphics became advanced enough to portray it; the official character art shows that the older ones actually were, too, when not depicted with blocky low-resolution sprites.
** Let's see shall we? *Ahem*
*** [[FinalFantasyI Warrior of Light]], [[FinalFantasyII Firion]], [[FinalFantasyIII Luneth]], [[FinalFantasyIV Cecil]], [[FinalFantasyV Bartz]], [[FinalFantasyVII Cloud]], [[FinalFantasyVIII Squall]], [[FinalFantasyIX Zidane]], [[FinalFantasyX Tidus]], [[FinalFantasyXII Vaan]] and [[FinalFantasyVersusXIII Noctis]]. That makes every leading male protagonist to date. And the ''{{Dissidia}}'' series includes ''all'' of them (except Noctis... [[AdaptationDisplacement and Luneth]]).
** '''[[DracoInLeatherPants Sephi]][[WhiteHairedPrettyBoy roth]].''' Can't forget him.
*** In the original cut of the scene with Sephiroth frozen in crystalized Mako, he was to have feminine curves to allude back to Jenova. Things were scaled back there for the same reason Squall in ''VIII'' was made to look more masculine.
** Now, now, let's not forget our MemeticSexGod [[http://images2.fanpop.com/images/photos/7500000/Soldier-2nd-Class-Zack-zack-fair-7523031-1024-768.jpg Zack Fair]]. [[StupidSexyFlanders Gawd, he's pretty]].
** And [[DirgeOfCerberus Vincent Valentine]]
** As for Kuja from ''FinalFantasyIX'', he reaches truly DudeLooksLikeALady proportions.
*** Kuja is even {{Lampshaded}} by Queen Brahne, who outright calls him a "girly-man". To be fair, though, he calls her "elephant-lady".
*** And by [[FinalFantasyXII Penelo]], in the in-game manual for ''DissidiaFinalFantasy'':
-->'''Penelo:''' Personally? I don't believe that boys should be prettier than I am.
** Helllooo, [[FinalFantasyII Emperor Palamecia]], anyone?
** If you look past the [[HalfHumanHybrid non-human]] features, [[FinalFantasyX Seymour]] can fit the bill as well.
** TetsuyaNomura, the designer for much of these characters, is a real-life Bishonen (see his page picture). A [[OlderThanTheyLook 40-year old]] Bishonen.
* A surprisingly large number of ''TheKingOfFighters'' male main characters are like this, with Ash Crimson pushing the androgyny to ridiculous levels.
* chaos (no capitalization) from ''{{Xenosaga}}'' is an example of a Bishounen with [[WhiteHairedPrettyBoy white hair]] that's most definitely not evil. Then again, he has [[DarkSkinnedRedhead dark skin]], which makes him immune to that aspect of the trope.
* {{Okami}} has Waka, who FLIES seemingly by virtue of sheer BishieSparkle and his [[NiceHat improbable headdress]].
* Link from ''TheLegendOfZelda''. Comedy Central ''did'' base Xandir on him, after all. One gay magazine [[http://www.gamespot.com/news/6151905.html voted him "hottest game character"]], to the endlessly amusing horror of the teenage males in the fanbase.
** There is an image on the Internet of Link as a girl. Despite his (ahem) additions, he looks ''exactly the same''.
** Yeah, except for the fact that said "additions" makes it hotter.
*** Kafei from "Majora's Mask" is a young version of this.
* Kristoph Gavin and his brother Klavier Gavin from the ''AceAttorney'' series. Max Galactica and Matt Engarde in ''Justice For All''.
** Most notably the effeminate Max Galactica, with his flamboyance, camp, and pure fabulousness.[[FauxYay (Because you too, have stolen one of Max Galactica's many, many, hearts.)]]
** And let's not forget our magenta-clad prosecutor, Miles Edgeworth. He's so pretty that about five girls during the series get crushes on him...[[ChasteHero not]] [[{{Asexuality}} that]] [[HoYay he]] [[ObliviousToLove notices]].
* Raiden in ''MetalGearSolid 2''. He was designed as an androgynously alluring blank slate for the player to project themself onto. There's a scene where another character [[spoiler:makes a grab for his groin, and is surprised to find he is male]]. And you have to play as him naked. No, we are not making that up. He was widely reviled for this, among [[ReplacementScrappy other reasons]].
** Naturally, also his thinly-veiled parody in MetalGearSolid 3, Raikov. Except the fangirls actually like this one.
** Kojima eventually admitted that Raiden's looks were an attempt to attract more young women to the games. Generally, the young women ended up finding [[CoolOldGuy Solid]] [[{{Badass}} Snake]] more attractive due to more extreme HoYay [[YaoiFangirl surrounding his character]] ([[FemaleGaze and his]] [[BabyGotBack tight ass]]).
* Because of its ''FinalFantasy'' influences, ''KingdomHearts'' not only features bishonen leads [[MassiveMultiplayerCrossover from that series]], but its original characters effectively form a BlueBishonenGhetto.
* ''MagnaCarta: Tears of Blood'' kicks the Bishonen up to 11, making its main lead Calintz and his apprentice Azel almost entirely unrecognizable as male. Chris Arcway manages to dodge the bullet with his open button-up shirt and cocky womanizing attitude, but even Raul, the tall, masculine, goateed swordsman who appears a few times in the game, gets a touch of Bishie thanks to the artstyle. (no matter how impossible it seems to be Bish with a goatee)
* Male blood elves in ''WorldOfWarcraft''. (Although they can have a little bit of facial hair.)
** Lampshaded in some of their ''/silly'' and ''/flirt'' emotes. A silly- "Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?"
* A few characters in the ''{{Disgaea}}'', including (but not limited to) Mid-boss, Seraph Lamington, Fukubei, Lord Bigstar, and [[spoiler:Tink.]]
* [[spoiler:Mitsumoto]] and Abyss in ''Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns''.
* Ramirez from ''VideoGame/SkiesOfArcadia'' seems to rock the "pretty but misunderstood" vibe as hard as he possibly can. Enrique is pretty much his good counterpart.
** A number of recruitable crew members further the bishounen appeal, particularly [[spoiler:Lawrence]] and [[spoiler:Ilchymis]].
* As the page quote indicates, Zelos from TalesOfSymphonia. Yggdrasil too.
** Some fans would argue Kratos is one as well. The game is ripe with bishies.
*** Kratos is a good example of a ''biseinen'', or 'beautiful man' - what a bishounen becomes when he grows up.
* Several of the guys in ''TalesOfVesperia'': particularly Yuri, who could be mistaken for a woman until he opens his mouth.
* Although having more of a fairly (and by that, in the smallest margin, as the game models differ slightly than official art) masculine face than some other TalesSeries {{Bishonen}}, Richard from TalesOfGraces certainly fits the role, having traditional elements including with medium-length blond hair, fancy frilly clothes, and immense popularity throughout the kingdom (in one skit, he mentions his "dilemna" with the sale of Richard-themed items). His seiyuu is even the same as a certain other {{Bishonen}} of TsubasaReservoirChronicle, and he even sports [[TalesOfSymphonia Zelos]] [[RealMenWearPink Wilder]]'s costume as DLC. Doesn't help that his younger self can be seriously mistaken as [[DudeLooksLikeALady a girl]].
* [[spoiler:Teddie's human form]] from ''{{Persona 4}}'' was clearly designed with this in mind. He makes extensive use of the BishieSparkle and uses it [[HandsomeLech to manipulate women that he comes across]]. Not to mention during the crossdressing scene he was the only one [[AttractiveBentGender alble to pull off looking like a girl]]. One male commentator even exclaiming "I'd hit that."
** Akihiko from ''{{Persona 3}}'' certainly qualifies being quite the ChickMagnet and having [[WhiteHairedPrettyBoy white hair]].
** In a less obvious manner the main character (or [[FanNickname Minato]]) may also qualify having a very slender figure, subtle facial features and pretty eyes. He's also frequently described as a "pretty boy" and "handsome" to the point where a certain CorruptCorporateExecutive tried to exploit him.
** From ''{{Persona 2}}: Innocent Sin'' we have Jun a character so pretty that many female characters look upon him in envy of his beauty.
** Naoto Shirogane also of ''{{Persona 4}}'' appears to be one of these...[[spoiler:but in a rare subversion, [[{{Bifauxnen}} he is actually a she]].]]
* Vega, the Spanish ninja in ''StreetFighter''; it's even part of his character. Vega is a narcissist who believes his face to be extremely beautiful, and cannot stand the ugly. Part of it comes from traumatization as a child when his ugly father killed his beautiful mother. He also wears a mask, not to hide his identity, but to prevent his face from being scarred. Remy in ''Street Fighter III'' is even more of one (though he's not narcissistic like Vega).
** In the Alpha series, Ken becomes one of these, with long, flowing hair in a ponytail, and a younger face ([[http://www.arcadeflyers.com/flyers_video/capcom/10025701.jpg some pieces of art]] for the game even show him with pronounced lips, a rarity for ''Street Fighter'' characters). However, the other games show him looking older and more muscular, with PermaStubble.
* Prince Peasley from ''[[VideoGame/MarioAndLuigiSuperstarSaga Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga]]'', who makes the whole screen gleam - literally - when he [[HairFlip tosses his hair]].
* It was an old joke in the ''Game/MegaMan'' fandom that those not familiar with the ''[[MegaManX X]]'' series would mistake {{Badass}} incarnate Zero was actually a girl, thanks to his RapunzelHair and what [[FanNickname fans like to call]] the [[GagBoobs Booblights]]. This was even {{lampshaded}} by [[spoiler:Bass of the original series]] when, upon seeing Zero's blueprints, scoffs at Zero's appearance, thinking that he was "too girly" to be the strongest robot [[spoiler:like [[BigBad Dr. Wily]], Zero's creator, claimed]]. And he seems to be quite a ChickMagnet, too; for both fellow Reploids and one ''human'' (''[[YourMileageMayVary possibly]]''). What was [[spoiler:Dr. Wily thinking when he created Zero and came up with ''that'' design, anyway? So much for being a threat to civilization...]]
* Julius, Jamie, Tim/Trent, Alex and Skye, from ''HarvestMoon'' are bishonen.
** Will from ''Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands'' bears more than a passing resemblance to the above-pictured Tamaki.
** It's easier to name guys that aren't bishonen in more recent games.
** Similarly, many of the young males in the spinoff series ''RuneFactory'' are bishonen. The newest protagonist barely looks male.
*** Which, what with the HelloInsertNameHere nature of the game, can lead to some unintentional hilarious moments:
-->''"Sophie? What a fine, manly name!"''
* ''TimeCrisis''[='=]s newer protagonists.
* Uesugi Kenshin from ''SengokuBasara'' takes this far enough that fans [[ViewerGenderConfusion seriously doubt he's really male]]. Granted, the games also have Motonari, Keiji, [[WhiteHairedPrettyBoy Mitsuhide and Hanbe]], but Kenshin is still the reigning king.
** Keiji is a strange case, as he has a muscular figure but a very pretty face and long, silky hair. And Yukimura also seems to become more feminine looking with each new installment.
* ''DynastyWarriors'' has its fair share, with Jin (Sima Yi, Sima Shi, Sima Zhao, Zhong Hui, Xiahou Ba) being a certified BlueBishounenGhetto. The other kingdoms don't fail to deliver however with Shu (Zhao Yun, Jiang Wei, Guan Suo), Wu (Zhou Yu, Lu Xun) and especially Wei (Zhang He) hosting some impressive examples.
** Likewise in ''SamuraiWarriors'', we have Mitsuhide, Hanbei, Ranmaru, Kiyomasa, Motochika, and Kojiro.
* Testament of ''GuiltyGear'', who in addition to his long black hair and androgynous face, has [[VillainousCrossdresser an outfit consisting of a man-bra and a skirt that shows a decent amount of leg]]. And that's not going anywhere near [[{{DudeLooksLikeALady}} Bridget]].
** Ky Kiske, enough said.
* ''FireEmblem'' has Lucius, the amazingly feminine featured pretty boy monk with long blond hair. Of course he defends the fact that he is male when confronted by Serra.
** A typical FireEmblem game will have several bishonen, at least a couple of rugged manly men, a few [[GrandmaWhatMassiveHotnessYouHave good looking grandpas]], and a {{Gonk}} or two. Few are as bafflingly pretty as Lucius, though.
** When ''SuperSmashBros'' first showed off Marth, most western players were intially quite confused as whether Marth was a girl or not. His voice actor cleared this up a bit, though.
* Taichi in CrossChannel has a rather androgynous but attractive appearance. He, on the other hand, is convinced he is horribly ugly for reasons that are never really revealed.
* Pretty much any guy from the [=NeoRomance=] series (''{{Angelique}}'', ''HarukanaruTokiNoNakaDe'', ''[[KiniroNoCorda La Corda d'Oro]]''). Eisen of ''Haruka'' proved to be pretty enough to [[DisguisedInDrag disguise himself as a girl]] on one occasion; even ''the Emperor'' is bishounen, though he has an excuse of being Eisen's half-brother. In ''La Corda d'Oro'' anime one character (Kenichi Shimizu) actually gets ''called'' a bishounen by the lead girl when she first meets him.
* Among the attractive male characters in ''InfiniteSpace'', a few of them fall into bishonen/biseinen category. Lord Roth is arguably the best example, with his [[LongHairedPrettyBoy waist-length lavender hair]] and feminine face.
** Main character Yuri is quite pretty himself.
* HeroesOfMightAndMagic 5: [[spoiler:Agrael is this underneath that big red suit of armor.]]
* ''PokemonBlackAndWhite'' has [[OneLetterName N]], as well as [[PowerTrio Cilan, Chili, and Cress]].
* ''DragonQuest'' has two bishonen; Psaro the Manslayer (Human form) and Angelo.
** In terms of classes, the fighter from III certainly qualifies.
* ''{{Yo-Jin-Bo}}'' is a BlueBishounenGhetto. Since it's a VisualNovel RomanceGame, it's kind of expected. Bo is considered [[DudeLooksLikeALady so pretty he's practically female]] by the other characters; he's annoyed when [[EvenTheGuysWantHim a crossdresser hits on him]], but plays this to his advantage and says he should be allowed to guard the Princess during her bath because he "looks androgynous" with his long hair and wouldn't disturb her as much as the other guys.
* [[{{Castlevania}} Alucard]] is one of the quintessential {{White Haired Pretty Boy}}s. Mistaking him for a girl is not likely to be a problem, though, given the loving attention put into his sprite and the fact that his VA has a very, very deep voice.
** Several other protagonists in later Castlevania titles, such as Juste Belmont and Soma are this, often overlapping with WhiteHairedPrettyBoy.
* Yuuto is the only male in EienNoAselia that could really be described as pretty. On the other hand, he's also pretty muscular by the end, so despite the face he isn't exactly girly.
* Johnny Cage of the ''MortalKombat'' series, though Johnny himself is the one who enforces it. He constantly refers to himself as "pretty" and is always praising his own good looks. Even one of his battle cries revolves around how pretty he thinks he is:
-->'''Johnny:''' Oh yeah! I’m so pretty!

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Webcomics]]
* In the {{Animesque}} WebComic ''ElGoonishShive'', Tedd normally wears NerdGlasses to keep bullies from insulting him for being androgynous; he doesn't seem to be aware that without them he (or in this case, Grace disguised as him) is attractive enough to make [[http://www.egscomics.com/?date=2003-05-21 (mostly) straight guys extremely uncomfortable]]. His habit of [[GenderBender changing his sex]] into an [[AttractiveBentGender even prettier female form]] is probably at least partly [[http://www.egscomics.com/?date=2006-08-07 because he can feel comfortable about being attractive while a girl]]. He isn't quite the classic bishie, being short and rather geeky, but this only seems to underscore the effect.
** He's also used BishieSparkle at least twice. Notable in that this is apparently visible in-universe; the next panel always includes someone asking [[LampshadeHanging "Since when could you glow?"]]
* Rieken in ''ADistantSoil'', fits this trope to a T, down to white hair so long it drags on the ground. The twist, though, is that he is probably the most supernaturally powerful being alive.
* Parody/[[SubvertedTrope subversion]]: [[http://www.drunkduck.com/Stickman_and_Cube/index.php?p=243777 This strip]] from the StickFigureComic ''StickmanAndCube'' has the cartoonist supposedly draw the two characters {{Bishonen}}. The joke is that they look ''exactly the same'', being of course a stickman and a cube, except with added BishieSparkle. But... so bishie!
* Maxim of ''GirlGenius'', sporting a narrower, pointier face, thinner build, and longer, bishi-er hair than his compatriots Dimo and Oggie, very nearly fits here. There are only a couple things off: First, he has purple skin, smiles too much, smiles too ''big'', and has a mouth full of sharp teeth, all because he is a Jaegermonster. Second, he's too fun-loving, upbeat, and goofy, also because he is a Jaegermonster. Third, his personality is far too distinctive. [[NoExceptYes Other than that]] he fits perfectly.
** [[WordOfGod Foglio]] has said that he designed Maxim for fun, to see if he ''could'' draw a bishonen Jaeger. Well, he can!
* The titular character from {{Terinu}} is definitely bishie, coming from a genetically uplifted race designed to look cute. Being marsupials, even the females are fairly androgenous in appearance ([[{{Pettanko}} flat-chested]] after all).
* ''TheCyantianChronicles'': Jules reacts this way to Sean. Although that might just be because of his wings.
** Similarly, ''AlienDice'' has Lexx. Who, in a noncanon segment from Cafe Anime, got kidnapped, blasted with a jar of [[BishieSparkle bishi glitter]], and paraded around in a leash and an undershirt as a demonstration of "How To Bishi". And who has a large fan base in Canon.
* ''{{Blip}}'' portrays [[{{Satan}} Lucifer]] this way. At one point, Luc meets an angel who is his exact double. His reaction: "I'm... gorgeous!"
* ''RPGWorld'' has Eikre, whose whole character is based on this. Along with him are his friends Hawk and Jeff. In fact the three of them took high school classes on how to '''BE BISHONEN'''.
* ''OverlordOfRavenfell'' has two main bishonen characters in Razin and Javanshin.
* ''FeyWinds'' has bishonen, but also parodies it in regards to Sidney's twin brother.
* Nearly all of the main male characters from KhaosKomix, but especially Tom. Probably comes with being FtM transsexual. He doesn't have any of the typical personality traits, however, being StraightGay (bordering on ManlyGay).

[[folder:Web Original]]
* Bladezz in TheGuild, especially in his modeling pictures and the music video.
* In Literature/{{Sapphire}}, you have Boris Rubanenko, Daisuke Midori, and Nikolai Kitano, to name a few.
* Gabriel Dunn from ''BrokenSaints'' has elements of this, especially in some panels. Also, despite writer Brooke Burgess' disdain for the idea of Raimi being played by a pretty boy in a theoretical Big Hollywood Movie Version, Raimi isn't too far off from this himself.
* In ''TheSecretLifeOfDolls'', [[TheGoldenCompass Lyra]] and [[PiratesOfTheCaribbean Elizabeth Swann]] had this discussion about a picture of the Will Turner doll:
-->Lyra popped up over Elizabeth's shoulder. "That scarf is a girly scarf."\\
"Well, that's just how guys dressed back... now."\\
"In tights?"\\
She sighed. "Sometimes Will was prettier than I was."
* Apollo, Dionysus, and Eros in ThaliasMusings.
* TheNostalgiaCritic. Even he lampshaded it by trying to say he got more handsome, but couldn't do it and chose "pretty" instead.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Western Animation]]
* Comedy Central's animated "reality" show ''DrawnTogether'' parodies this character type with Xandir.
* ''Field Test'', the third segment of ''{{Batman}}: Gotham Knight'', gives Bruce Wayne a rather {{Bishonen}}-esque look (which doesn't exactly fit Kevin Conroy's voice that well).
* ''{{WITCH}}'', ''WinxClub'', and ''TotallySpies'', due to their anime influences, tend to have bishie male characters as LoveInterests.
* Aqualad from ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitans''. As well as Malchior (or Rorek) except his "human" form is ''made of paper''.
* Julio Blanco from the MTV cartoon ''SpyGroove'' is so pretty that ''LeonardoDiCaprio'' is considered a suspect in his death [[spoiler:He faked it.]]
* Brackus from ''DiGataDefenders'' was revealed to be one [[IWasQuiteALooker when he was younger]]. Blatant Fanbase pandering by the animators.
* Sylvain in the weird, {{Animesque}} French animated film ''{{Gandahar}}'' (AKA ''Light Years'').
* {{Gorillaz}}'s 2D has elements of this, except with a distinct UncannyValley flavour. [[http://www.musictrax.org/images/gorillaz.jpg Look at him.]]
* Lancelot from KingArthursDisasters.
* Mozenrath from the ''Disney/{{Aladdin}}'' series.
* Gordon Gibble from KickButtowski.

* JamieCampbellBower has a slender build and relitivly feminine facial feautures which definatly make him a pretty boy. This is lessening slightly as he gets older.
* BenedictCumberbatch. OH SO MUCH.

You know that [[{{Hunk}} ruggedly handsome manly man]] the ladies all sigh for? This isn't that guy. Oh, he still gets the sighs, but it's because he is so dang pretty.

They are often rather thin, with soft facial features. Long hair is optional

Note: Anime fans call this {{bishonen}}. There's a page for that. See also AgentPeacock.

* Shua in ''Film/SkyBlue''.
* Ra in {{Stargate}}, creepily.
* Dwayne from ''LittleMissSunshine''.
* JohnnyDepp, in [[http://www.deppimpact.com/gallery/albums/caps_djd/djd329.JPG nearly every role]] he's ever played ([[http://www.deppimpact.com/gallery/albums/caps_es/edward007.JPG less so than usual]] in ''EdwardScissorhands'', least of all [[http://www.deppimpact.com/gallery/albums/caps_libertine/libertine1021.JPG in the later part]] of ''TheLibertine''.)
* Loki in ''Film/{{Thor}}''.
* Patrick in ''TenThingsIHateAboutYou''.

* Chase on ''{{House}}''.
* Nathan from ''{{Misfits}}''.
* Vincent Chase from ''{{Entourage}}''.

* [[PanicAtTheDisco Brendon Urie.]]
* The late Keith Relf of The Yardbirds: [[http://www.raw-tcsd.com/yardbirds%20keith%20relf%20ger9919942.jpg]]
* The late Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones: [[http://www.cheltenham4u.co.uk/images/brianjones5.jpg]]

* ''TimeCrisis''[='=]s newer protagonists.

* Lancelot from KingArthursDisasters.
* Mozenrath from the ''Disney/{{Aladdin}}'' series.
* Gordon Gibble from KickButtowski.

* Just about every single teen/Disney Channel star ever is put up as this. Zac Efron and JustinBieber are two {{egregious}} examples, largely thanks to the wonders of Photoshop. Cue [[{{Squee}} squealing]] 12-year old girls and everyone else [[CollectiveGroan groaning]].
* JamieCampbellBower has a slender build and relitivly feminine facial feautures which definatly make him a pretty boy. This is lessening slightly as he gets older.
* BenedictCumberbatch. OH SO MUCH.
* [[http://media.photobucket.com/image/bjorn%20andresen/Astatie/Bjorn%20Andresen/0003.jpg Bjorn Andresen.]] This [[SoBeautifulItsACurse didn't always make him happy.]]
