* ''VideoGame/DragonsCrown'' features a colossal statue as the boss of the Forgotten Sanctuary's A-route, though it is named the Golem. Due to its size, one swing from its blade is nearly enough to one-hit players even on Normal difficulty. The player is encouraged to use the "Life From Stone" runic spell to animate their own statue and let the two do battle, but the enemy statue is backed up with endless Hellhounds and bomb-toting Goblins. An alternate strategy, should the player's statue get destroyed (or wasn't animated to begin with) is to defeat the Goblins, then use their bombs to take the boss statue down.

* Two examples occur in ''Musya''. Firstly, the boss of the catacombs is the Saru-Ishi (Monkey Stones). In the English version, they enter with a rumble while in the Japanese version, their arrival is announced by laughter. This version is the only one fought in the English version, while in the Japanese version the statue [[DoppelgangerAttack can create up to three copies]]. The statue and its copies fight by stomping down on Imoto. The other example are the Jizō statues encountered in the next level, the Palace of Hate. They also fight by hopping and stomping.

At the same time, a gunshot is fired into the church through a window (presumably the murderer trying to eliminate an unwanted witness). Moments later Don Camillo realizes that the bullet has pierced the hand of Christ. * "Heart of the Snow Maiden" in ''Adventures into the Unknown'' #40 features one ice sculpture and one (probably) [[ElementalEmbodiment ice elemental]]. The sculpture, the Snow Maiden, has no feelings for the elemental, the Ice King, which he is fine with as long as she doesn't love another either. But she falls in love with a human twice. The first time, the Ice King kills the entire human village and the Snow Maiden with an avalanche. Her heart remains and decades later another human re-sculpt her form and places her heart inside, reviving her. Upon sensing this, the Ice King returns and tries to wreak havoc again, but he is, for the time being, destroyed. The Snow Maiden then banishes herself from society to avoid the Ice King's ire from befalling anyone ever again.

There are many different types of statues made for different purposes by different cultures in different periods from different materials. Which is why Living Statue is a busy SuperTrope, covering OurGargoylesRock, LivingFigurehead, EenieMeenieMinyMoai, and technically {{Snowlems}} and ScaryScarecrows.
