It has been made abundantly clear that normal cleansing spells don't work on the Scourge plague. There was a whole quest where you go all over the world searching for someone who can cure it, and the best they can do is let him die in peace.

*** Especially given that the Priest class has Cure Disease and Abolish Disease as [[GameplayAndStorySegregation baseline spells]].
*** May or may not be [[GameplayAndStorySegregation Gameplay and story segregation]] due to the fact that Cure Disease and Abolish Disease can fail to dispell the target, as far as we know the plague could have a + 100% resistance to dispell, which would make sense since lore-wise during the Scourge invasion event that took place just before the second expansion, it was only then did a cure for the disease came out, and it wasn't beaten entirely until a highly skilled alchemist came up with a final solution to the plague that stopped it completely. Considering that it was part of his and his department's work to copy and create an advanced version of the very disease for years, and that this takes play well after the plague appeared, chances are that no amount of praying or dispelling would've done anything at that time.
** Combined with the other paladins who joined the Scourge, the "heroic" paladin who only cares about his own ends being seen as a hero, and the Naaru not showing much concern about mortals, Warcraft has one of the least good lights in existence.

There were even stories that portrayed the white people as {{Satan}}'s children and that said they were created by evil forces. It's true that they don't have such a "clean" reputation, due to the calamities they commited in the past (they enslaved black people and treated them like animals, they killed the native americans, they started wars during which they destroyed and tortured millions of people, etc.) and this is one of the major factors that determines various people to think they are more wicked than the other races.

Vaguely equating to Positive Energy (pure life force) in the older edition, Radiant energy is described as "pure light" and is most commonly found in the Divine classes (arcane, primal and psionic classes also get a sprinkling of Radiance powers). It's a ''damage keyword'' -- meaning that it's specific use is, generally, the same as a Fireball or Acid Storm.

** In "Harry Potter and the Methods Of Rationality," Harry finds that, when he becomes truly angry, he enters a coldly angry state, in which his mind works even better than it normally does (the purpose of the fic is Harry is incredibly smart, and incredibly well educated for his age in most non-magical fields.) When Snape's bullying pushes him into this cold state during Harry's first potions class, Harry asks how he would go about getting abusive teachers fired. Snape bullys him worse, and Harry tries to leave the classroom. When Snape locks the door, Harry escapes using a Time Turner, which he had been told not to use in any way that could indicate its purpose. When his anger leaves, he starts frantically thinking how to get out '''himself''' of trouble, and eventually pushes himself back into his coldly angry state in order to think clearly. He thus remembers that he was not completely in the wrong, remembers the other victims of Snape's bullying (who he had been told of previously,) and notes that his "light side" is the more selfish and cowardly state of mind.

She comes back to life with a mind full of hatred and vengeance and does both good and not-so-good deeds. Yet obviously she retains her old holy powers. This barrier prevents people who're with demonic blood, like Inuyasha, Koga, Sesshomaru, from entering Mount Hakurei and attacking Naraku (Sesshomaru does manage to enter without being purified (in the other words, being destroyed), because he's just that [[BadAss awesome]], albeit weakened. Inuyasha, a half-demon, also enters but the barrier purifies him into his human form). The Living Buddha's soul finally finds true piece and the barrier is removed thanks to the previously mentioned Kikyo.
