* ''Series/GameOfThrones'': [[Characters/GameOfThronesJoffreyBaratheon King Joffrey Baratheon]] is an obnoxious, vile, and mean-spirited brat and his idiocy is the only thing that can match his cruelty.

* Chaka from ''Manga/BlackLagoon'' is one that's played very darkly, and not for any laughs like most examples. He's a sexist, homophobic, LethallyStupid thug who grossly overestimates himself and is every bit as petty as he is stupid.

* ''WesternAnimation/{{Megamind}}'': Hal Stewart/Titan is quite dimwitted, as he [[EskimosArentReal doesn't believe in the Queen of England]] but believes in [[PaperThinDisguise Space Step-Mom]]. He is also a PsychopathicManchild who levels Metro City in a fit of rage over being rejected by his crush Roxanne.

* ''Literature/{{Matilda}}'': Matilda's parents are incredibly sleazy, obnoxious, and stupid {{Anti Role Model}}s (the father is also dishonest) who treat her horribly and take pride in their shallowness and AntiIntellectualism. In the [[Film/{{Matilda}} movie adaptation]], Matilda's brother is also a mean-spirited FatIdiot like his father, [[AdaptationalJerkass unlike his book counterpart]] who was a harmless boy, just less intelligent than Matilda.

* ''Film/TheHangover'': Alan Garner becomes this over time. In the first film, he was fairly well-meaning, albeit childish and irresponsible, but he eventually becomes more abrasive and condescending towards others in addition to being LethallyStupid.
* ''Film/HomeAlone'': Harry and Marv are StupidCrooks who are constantly outsmarted by Kevin, [[WouldHurtAChild have no qualms against trying to]] ''[[WouldHurtAChild murder]]'' [[WouldHurtAChild him]], and plan to steal money meant for charity. Of the two, Harry is the more aggressive, although he is still only barely smarter than his partner.

* ''Film/StepBrothers'': The titular characters are hedonistic slackers who cause endless grief for their family members with their selfishness and incompetence. They also still believe in ghosts and zombies.

* ''Film/TheHangover'': Alan Garner becomes this over time. In the first film, he was fairly well-meaning, albeit childish and irresponsible, but he eventually becomes more abrasive and condescending towards others.

* ''Film/{{Superbad}}'': [[BadCopIncompetentCop Officers Slater and Michaels]] are heavily unreliable at their jobs, frequently misunderstanding the cashier's descriptions of the robber. They are also highly amoral, freely causing mayhem across town and even abandoning their colleagues during a crisis simply for getting in the way of their conversation.

* ''Literature/HarryPotter'': Harry's uncle Vernon Dursley and his sister Marge from the books. They are loud-mouthed, mean-spirited, and close-minded, they even conform to the fat and loud-mouthed stereotype of Little Englanders. Dudley Dursley is no better and is a SpoiledBrat on top of it, but unlike his father and aunt eventually grows out of it.

* Masayoshi Shido from ''VideoGame/Persona5'' goes out of his way to make himself look like an invincible and cunning DiabolicalMastermind who captivates and subjugates all of Japan to fear and despair through political assassinations and blackmail, but despite how he insists himself to be, he is anything but. People are literally [[spoiler:subjected to MoreThanMindControl by the [[MadeOfEvil Holy Grail]] to unconditionally worship him so said being can prove that the public are ignorant cretins who had to be locked up, and his inner circle is scared of him because he is ''so'' lethally [[StupidEvil stupid and evil]] that he'll kill Akechi when the time comes in fear of his betrayal, even though said Akechi is the only reason his plans have had any success at all.]]

* ''[[VisualNovel/AceAttorneyInvestigationsMilesEdgeworth Gyakuten Kenji 2]]'': This trope sums up the new prosecutor Sebastian Debeste quite well. He became a prosecutor [[ImprobableAge at the age of 17]], but he is nowhere close to being a TeenGenius. What makes it worse is that he comes off like an InsufferableGenius by frequently putting others down while hyping himself up, but [[KnowNothingKnowItAll he can't back any of it up]] and seems to [[IgnorantOfTheirOwnIgnorance lack any self-awareness of this]] most of the time. Most of his... "[[InsaneTrollLogic logic]]" during investigations is bad enough to make ''[[TheDitz Larry Butz]]'' call him an idiot and be ''justified'' in doing so. The only one who can stand him is [[HypercompetentSidekick Judge Justine Courtney]], and she tends to treat him like the child he is -- often guiding him by the hand when he can't piece things together and coddling him to passively support his ego. Most people react to his antics with either annoyance or outright contempt. Edgeworth himself seems to regard him as a nuisance and tries to ignore him as much as possible. [[spoiler: After the revelation that his father paid for his good grades and [[AbusiveParents said father]] degrades him by [[BreakThemByTalking saying he's never achieved anything without help]], he suffers a massive BreakTheHaughty moment and eventual HeroicBSOD. When Edgeworth pulls him out of it, he becomes much more cooperative, much less insufferable, and [[DumbassNoMore starts wising up]] to [[TookALevelInBadass be a genuinely good prosecutor]] and stand up to his father.]]

* ''WebAnimation/CaillouTheGrownUp'': Caillou is a total idiot who can't even tie his own shows without his parents' help, and he frequently belittles and threatens other people to get his way.

* ''Literature/CaptainUnderpants'': The staff at Jerome Horowitz Elementary School are high order {{Sadist Teacher}}s and very easily fall for George and Harold's pranks. The only exception is Mr. Fyde, [[TokenGoodTeammate who isn't as malicious as the others]].
