* ''Series/HowToRock'': Stevie Baskara often refers to having four brothers--which attributes to how tough and tomboyish she is.

* ''Series/LifeWithBoys'': Protagonist Tess Harper has three brothers--including a twin. While still feminine, this probably attributes to her being on the wrestling team. Her widowed father is also the gym teacher too.

** In the final book, Harry also notes that having six older brothers probably explains Ginny's toughness.
** One Tumblr post posits that each of Ginny's brothers has qualities that could make them a target for bullying, so Ginny toughened up from an early age to protect ''them'' rather than vice versa.

I think Brienne (didnt actually grow up with brothers, learned swordfighting another way) and Sansa (very feminine despite having four brothers) are just aversions. I mention Jon specifically because of him gifting her a sword, though if there are incidents of Robb/Bran encouraging her as well besides normal sibling playtime then fell free to add em

* Deliberately subverted in ''Literature/ASongOfIceAndFire''. Sansa and Arya both have two older brothers and two younger brothers, but while Arya goes the tomboy route, Sansa is hopeless at anything she doesn't think of as "ladylike". Aryais supposed to take after her father (or, more accurately, her late aunt) while Sansa greatly resembles her mother. There's also Brienne of Tarth, where it's also subverted because every one of her prospective older brothers died relatively soon into their lives. Brienne herself was unable to keep out of fights, so her father decided he should teach her to fight so that she wouldn't get hurt all the time. The result is a strong, skilled fighter that can defeat one of the best knights (Albeit while he was under a severe handicap) in the Seven Kingdoms in a fight.

* The main character of superhero novel ''Literature/WearingTheCape'', Astra, gets a superpower set that's very physical-fight oriented. When she asks her mentor why she got that set, he points out there's evidence that powers often react to a person's attitude and personality. Since she has several older brothers, and learned to fight because of their teasing, she ended up with a "fight back" outlook, as opposed to a "run away " or "defend yourself" outlook.
