So you meet a member of your preferred gender for the first time and initiate a conversation. She (let's say it's a woman) might be a coworker, a friend of a friend, or even a stranger you're meeting in a trendy juice bar: in any case, it's a casual, low-key meeting. Things are going along smoothly when suddenly, in describing herself, your new acquaintance says "I spend six hours a day editing TVTropes."

You ask her to marry you, right then and there.
