* ''Series/LaverneAndShirley'': Laverne and her penchant for mixing [[{{Squick}} milk and Pepsi]]. This was a real-life favorite beverage of Penny Marshall's.

** ''Series/StarTrekDeepSpaceNine'': Jadzia Dax is also shown to have strange tastes in food, owing to the Dax symbiont having lived over 300 years in eight differnt hosts. Owing to Curzon Dax's lifelong association with Klingons, she likes Klingon foods. However in an ExpandedUniverse novel even Jadzia agrees with Quark that a human cheese sandwich is too disgusting to eat.

** This is called "foraging" and can involve gathering wild lettuce (species related to regular lettuce, except they grow in the wild), dandelions (which were originally grown as a crop, before they escaped the fields and started growing everywhere), blackberries (again, another plant that is cultivated and can be grown as a crop, but also grows wild just about anywhere and everywhere it can if the conditions are right) ramps (a species of wild onion which has an entire [[https://visitncsmokies.com/attractions/ramp-festival festival]] dedicated to it, and has become a trendy food ingredient), and other edible plants that aren't typically cultivated.

* ''Literature/{{Discworld}}'': The student wizards who work at Unseen University's High Energy Magic Building, being college nerds, seem to live on nothing but pizza. ''Un''like Roundworld students, theirs tends to have ''really'' bizarre topping combos, e.g. banana pudding with kippers.

* In ''WesternAnimation/TheSmurfs'' episode "The Grumpy Gremlin", the eponymous gremlin's favorite food is grelch, a relish made from wild onions and garlic that smells pretty foul, likely why the gremlin has no friends (well, that and the fact that [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin he's pretty grumpy]]) but the gremlin eventually makes friends with a dragon who also loves grelch.

** "Unreal Estate" shows Garfield created an "alphabetical sandwich, a 26-ingredient sandwich where all ingredients are in alphabetical order: avocado, bologna, corned beef, deviled ham, fetta cheese, all the way down to zucchini. He does wish he had an ingredient for X that wasn't x-ray, though.

Can be a NutritionalNightmare if the combinations are extreme in unhealthiness. If the strange taste preferences are due to cultural differences, it's ForeignQueasine. If it's due to different tastes between species, it's AlienLunch. Has overlap with WackyCravings when a character is pregnant. DogFoodDiet is when the character is eating the food by necessity rather than taste preference. PasteEater is a particularly extreme example. * Buttercup has a garlic jones in ''WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls'' story "Pizza My Heart" (DC run issue #39). She puts copious amounts of garlic on practically everything she eats, causing her breath to make everyone in Townsville--even the monsters--reel in disgust.

** One of the 90s books has them get pizza with, among other things, chocolate buttons and some kind of dried fruit. At Splinter's incredulous reaction, one of the Turtles says they made the mistake of letting Michelangelo order. (Meanwhile, another of them is carefully picking the chocolate off his slice.)
** Some other characters on the show had odd tastes in pizza toppings. One time Michelangelo got a job at a pizza delivery place called Weird Pizza to make money; the place said it would put ''any'' topping on a pizza that a customer requested. (Shredder was actually running the place, hoping to attract the Turtles to it due to their odd tastes). Anyway, Mikey ended up delivering some pizzas with ''very'' odd requests, like pickles and ice cream. (To [[WackyCravings a woman in her third trimester]], it seemed.)
