* In the AnimatedAdaptation of ''Literature/GrandmasterOfDemonicCultivationMoDaoZuShi'', Wei Wuxian reads his old notebook and panics when he finds out he accidentally made Lan Wangji break the clan rules about his forehead ribbon multiple times.[[note]]The rule is that Lan clansmen may only let their "fated person" touch their ribbon, and Wei Wuxian has repeatedly touched his companion's ribbon at this point without knowing the implications.[[/note]] He's still panicking over the discovery when Lan Wangji walks in, and he tries to act normal and pretend nothing has happened so that he can avoid awkwardly explaining himself. His idea of acting normal is to hastily throw the notebook onto the bookshelf, run to the shelf to put back another book, conspicuously pose next to the shelf to hide the notebook and then unconvincingly let out a cry of pain from his wound as a distraction. Lan Wangji is a little suspicious after he checks on the injury but pays no further attention to the situation when Wei Wuxian changes the topic.
