* A more explicit variation is discussed in an early chapter of the ''Manga/AhMyGoddess'' manga. Shortly after Urd introduces herself to Keichi, she tells him that in order to make his contract with Belldandy official she needs to have a sample of his [=DNA=], and flat out tells him that he needs to make love to her in order for her to collect his [=DNA=]. Just as Keichi is about to be seduced, Belldandy arrives in the nick of time, and explains that Urd is a habitual liar that has gotten in trouble for dishonesty, and as the goddess sisters are about to fight, Urd gets sent into exile as punishment for her abandoning her post and causing the celestial system to crash.

* ''LightNovel/TheFamiliarOfZero'': It is standard procedure for a wizard to kiss their familar immediately after summoning them to seal the contract. Most of these familiars are non-human and so there is no romantic subtext. However, Louise is a void mage and they always summon human familiars, which leads to awkwardness when Saito appears in the summoning circle. FridgeLogic sets in when later, the settings' '''Pope''' is confirmed to be a void mage, and he has a male familiar. Since nobody really mentions any other way to seal the contract, this particular sealing kiss was probably laden with HoYay.

When Sam asks if they kissed, Bobby denies it, at which point Crowley clears his throat and shows the latest picture on his camera. Crowley in fact loves to seal a deal this way, especially if it's with a man who really doesn't want to.

* Accepting a contract of this nature forms the climax of ''Literature/{{Pale}}'''s prologue chapter: Matthew, needing to retain [[{{Muggles}} Louise]] as a witness to a murder, but not wishing to see her harmed by the normal mechanics of TheMasquerade, kisses her to lock away the memories of the event ([[EasyAmnesia until such time as they can send someone to take her statement]]). In the process, he takes away some of her debilitating health problems, the better to ensure that she survives ''to'' give her statement.
