* BerserkButton: It is not a wise idea to mess with kids around Quincy.

* DealWithTheDevil: Quincy makes these on occasion as a way to deal with larger threats. Ironically, this is actually more dangerous for the demon in many cases as Quincy is quite able to beat them within an inch of their immortal lives if they try to screw him. [[spoiler: As Mort found out when he used ExactWords on Quincy.]]

* TheDogBitesBack: The original Renfield, Augustus, blames Dracula for refusing to turn him after his thirty years of service were up. Mostly because he was completely nuts. Renfield then got himself turned into a vampire and has spent the past century trying to ruin Dracula's life.
* ExactWords: Demons, Angels, and Fairies all use these to get around the fact they can't lie.

* GodIsGood: Glory is quite insistent on this fact and all indications are she's right.

* NamesTheSame: Dracula refers to all of his manservants as Renfield.

* OlderThanTheyLook: Quincy looks like a middle aged man but is actually well over a hundred.

to:

* UnderestimatingBadassery: Quincy is an incredibly accomplished exorcist and demon hunter. Demons who mess with him are unlikely to remain long in this plane.

!!Tropes include;

to:

Quicny Harker lives in Charlotte, North Carolina where he serves as both an exorcist and HunterOfMonsters that is always in trouble with the law. In addition to his uncle's patronage, he also has a (literal) guardian angel named Glory. A freak accident results in him being bonded with a local police officer named Flynn who had been persecuting him for years. Recruited by the Department of Homeland Security Paranormal Division, he soon finds himself much more active in the battle of good versus evil.

----

!!Tropes include;include:

* {{Antihero}}: Quincy is a guy unafraid to break heads, lie, cheat, torture, curse, and outright kill anyone who offends his moral sensibilities. He is also deeply disrespctful to the forces of Heaven but still on the side of the angels (literally).
* BlackAndWhiteMorality: The conflict between Heaven and Hell really is that straightforward. Quincy is an {{Antihero}}, though, and doesn't quite neatly fit into their worldview. It doesn't help that GoodIsNotNice.
* DeadpanSnarker: Like many urban fantasy heroes, Quincy has a lot of sass for just about everyone he meets. This is particularly true of God and the forces of Heaven. He even threatens them on occassion.

* RetiredMonster: Lucas Card, aka Count Dracula has decided that remaining a homicidal feudal lord would be detrimental to his survival.

to:

* NayTheist: Quincy is not a religious person despite the fact that he knows, for sure, that Heaven and God are real. This is motivated by the FreudianExcuse that he's seen centuries of horrible things that haunt his nightmares.
* RetiredMonster: Lucas Card, aka Count Dracula has decided that remaining a homicidal feudal lord would be detrimental to his survival. He is ReformedButNotTamed and attributes his continued survival to changing his ways from being a feudal overlord.

* SociopathicHero: Gabby is a HunterOfMonsters primarily because she enjoys the act of killing.
