** The Nationalists winning the Chinese Civil War helps prevent the Red Scare. As a result of this, Eisenhower stays out of the Republican primaries in 1952, causing the nomination to go to Robert Taft, who then loses to Adlai Stevenson. Party fatigue then allows Nixon to win in 1956.
** Sabhas Bose never dies in a plane crash, and goes on to take over India after becoming a metahuman. Even after his death, his followers stay in control, keeping India as a dictatorship.
** South Africa's imposition of apartheid leads to a native rebellion spearheaded by metahumans and shamans, which successfully overthrows the white minority government.
** The collapse of Churchill's reputation (from his obsessive search for Excalibur) allows Anthony Eden to take over leadership of the Conservatives years sooner. He also become Prime Minister a few years ahead of OTL due to public fear after a metahuman gangster's rampage.
** The US provides the Batista government in Cuba with the Lazarus zombie virus, which enables them to crush Castro's revolution. Conversely, attempts to use zombies to remove Francois Duvalier's regime fails due to Papa Doc fighting back with his own {{Voodoo Zombie}}s, solidifying his regime; in response to the Americans' actions, Duvalier seeks closer ties to the Soviets, leading to Haiti taking the place of Cuba in a resulting missile crisis.
** Stalin survives his 1953 stroke due to Koschei's intervention, going on to carry out several more purges, including a mini-pogrom against the Jewish population over the "Doctor's Plot" and executing Kruschev and Zhukov on Koschei's advice. When he finally does die in '58, Malenkov has him revived via BrainUploading, only to pull the plug when this results in insanity and a nuke being launched at Moscow. With Malenkov's reputation ruined and much of the government dead from radiation poisoning, Dmitri Shepilov takes over as General-Secretary.
* {{Ghostapo}}: The Nazis are the first ones to seriously investigate the paranormal, due to Himmler's obsession with it.
* AGodAmI: Bose's messiah complex eventually reaches the point where he comes to believe that he's an incarnation of Shiva.
* GovernmentAgencyOfFiction: The various organizations established to deal with paranormal (or "Fortean", as they’re officially dubbed) phenomena.
** The earliest on record is the Department of Transcendent Research established by Fascist Italy.

** After General Naguib is ousted from power by Ramses XI, he takes refuge in Syria, which backs his attempts to retake control. Meanwhile, Ramses also eventually forces out all communist forces in Egypt, which set up an "Egyptian Democratic Republic"-in-exile in Libya.
** When Bose's revolution takes over India, Prime Minister Nehru flees to China, where he's granted sanctuary and still recognized as the legitimate leader of India.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: The gun that Ernst Schaefer creates as a demonstration of his research for the Nazi high command is enchanted to never miss its target, regardless of where it's aimed. Numerous copies were eventually made and distributed to the Eastern Front, enabling their conquests there.
* InsectoidAliens: The Nyranx Collective, whose crashed scout ship is recovered by the OSP at Tungunska, are apparently insect lifeforms, based on the corpses discovered.
* {{Kaiju}}: A yowie, nicknamed Berberoka, is mutated by radiation from American nuclear testing and soon grows into a 70-foot giant than ends up going on a rampage in Manila.
* KingInTheMountain: Frederick Barbarossa is sought out and awakened by a group of remaining Nazis to liberate Germany from Allied and Soviet occupation.

** By contrast, the Greater People's League created by the Soviets isn't afraid to use threats against loved ones to recruit members.
** Metahumans are also recruited by both sides in the Chinese Civil War, though organization names aren't given.
** The Philippines have the ''Liga ng Pambihirang Tao'' (Extraordinary People's League).
** The "Children of Shiva" recruited by Bose's Hindutva movement, which become his enforcers after he successfully takes over India.
* TheNecrocracy: Egypt becomes this after Ramses takes over, as aside from himself, all of his servants are also undead mummies.

* OurGeniesAreDifferent: ''Jinn'' are presented as etheric entities of great magic power, which can only be used on someone at close range, and are bound to serve whomever holds the container they're tied to. Several Muslim nations start searching for and collecting these in order to use ''Jinn'' as weapons.
* OurLichesAreDifferent: Koschei the Deathless, one of the {{Trope Codifier}}s, is discovered by the Soviets and pledges loyalty to them.
* OurVampiresAreDifferent: Details are light, but it's mentioned that vampires are plaguing Romania during the 60s.
* OurZombiesAreDifferent:
** The attempts by Unit 731 to learn how reverse death only succeeds in creating a virus codenamed "Manchurian Gold", which kills people but resurrects them as mindless husks, lacking any will beyond external stimulus; unless given direct orders, they stay completely inert. Also, the virus can only be spread by being directly injected into a subject.
** The American military later refines Manchurian Gold into the Lazarus virus. Infectees can spread the infection through bites and scratches, have the driving impulse to feed on human flesh, and possess enough intelligence to wield basic weapons and avoid things that may harm them.
** Francois Duvalier makes use of {{Voodoo Zombie}}s to enforce his rule of Haiti.
* PragmaticVillainy: Most of the other Nazi high command, including Hitler, shot down Himmler's plan to summon {{Eldritch Abomination}}s to fight the Allies with, as they found it too risky to control such things.
* ProxyWar: The Kashmir War between India (backed by the Soviet Union) and Pakistan (backed by America).
* PublicDomainArtifact:
** The Italians and Germans worked together to search for the Spear of Destiny in North Africa. There’s no record of them succeeding.
** Churchill became obsessed with finding Excalibur, which eventually tanked his reputation and career.
* {{Realpolitik}}:
** Despite distrusting Mao, Stalin still provides the PRC in the Chinese Civil War in order to avoid having an American ally right on his borders.
** Both the US and Israel cut deals for material support with Ramses XI's takeover of Egypt — for the Americans, it's the standard "as long as he's not communist" philosophy, while for the Israelis it's because he only wants to rule Egypt as it existed in his time (which doesn't include the Sinai territories Israel took from modern Egypt), and also because he doesn't care either way about Jews and is outright hostile towards the surrounding Muslim countries.
** The Soviets are also happy to support Bose's attempts to take over India, in the hopes of bringing it into their fold.
* RealityEnsues:
** Frederick Barbarossa's knights, while highly skilled warriors by Medieval standards and outfitted with armor strong enough to shrug off gunfire for a short amount of time, are not outright supernatural. They're still very much mortal, and sustained gunfire will overwhelm them, as will explosives and artillery rounds.
** By contrast, Ramses XI's magically empowered mummy armies show how dangerous a sentient undead enemy can be, as he easily overwhelms the Egyptian forces sent against him.
* RidiculouslyHumanRobots: Renzaoren, the Nyranx envoy uncovered at Tunguska by the OSP. He looks completely human, to the point that it takes being shot and [[NoSell shrugging of the attack]] to reveal that he's not.
* RoswellThatEndsWell: In this timeline, an alien spaceship most definitely does crash in Roswell.
* SovietSuperScience: In addition to their studies into the occult, the Soviets also make great technological advances thanks to reverse engineering the Nyranx ship they find. By the 60s, they're a heavily automated society, and even capable of building computers that a person's mind can be uploaded into (though as noted elsewhere, that goes very badly).
* StockNessMonster: The British discover that "Nessie" is a species of plesiosaur which is somehow capable of traveling through time on their own ability. The reason they're so hard to track in the loch is because they keep traveling back to the Mesozoic.
* TheTunguskaEvent: The OSP investigate it, and find that it was caused by a crashed alien spaceship.
* TomeOfEldritchLore: The Nazis uncovered a great number of these, which were later confiscated by the Allies and Soviets.
* WarriorMonk: The practitioners of the Chinese martial art ''Yuzhou de fangshi'', which allows them to tap into chi and enhance their natural abilities.
