This isn't the same as Butt Monkey, as mentioned on the second to last paragraph on the main page. It also states it involves their misfortunes being played for comedy and I didn't see anything saying they have to be an Iron Butt Monkey. Indeed, the first paragraph states it can involve them being "messed up" instead of physically harmed.
