* ''WesternAnimation/TheHunchbackOfNotreDame'' (1996) featured a VillainSong in which the villain sang about burning down Notre Dame. In April of 2019, guess what happened? Ordinarily this would just be a FunnyAneurysmMoment, but what bumps it into dark comedy territory is that at the time, Disney was right in the middle of creating hi-def and live-action remakes of some of its older movies. ''Hunchback'' wasn't one of them... supposedly.

* Rex in ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory'' is a toy dinosaur made by an unnamed company that was bought out by Mattel. Fans have long noted his resemblance to the tyrannosaur from the already-discontinued "Dino-Riders" line (which featured human action figures that... well, [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin rode on dinosaurs]]) and speculated that that's exactly what he was. Fast forward two years after the movie's release, and the company behind Dino-Riders, Tyco, was indeed bought by Mattel.

* ''WesternAnimation/Frozen2013'' had this happen to it: in the movie, Elsa has the ability to conjure ice and snow. Shortly after the movie came out, a "polar vortex" caused large swaths of the United States and Canada to be blasted with subzero temperatures and heavy snowfall. A lot of fans therefore jokingly blamed the polar vortex on Elsa's powers. That, or telling Mother Nature that when Elsa said "the cold never bothered me anyway," it wasn't supposed to be taken as a challenge. The first teaser for ''WesternAnimation/FrozenII'' would be released during the 2019 polar vortex.
