** To clarify, Ooiwa's actor Baku Hatakeyama unfortunately committed suicide, making him a perfect example of [[AuthorExistenceFailure Author Existence Failure]]. Although there are reports that Tomokazu Seki actually played Ooiwa, the fact he was one of the few Warriors in ''199 Heroes'' to have a significant line without appearing out of suit either pointed to "Dosukoi!" being a popular line or an affinity for the character. Either way, it was a nice tribute to both Ooiwa and Baku Hatakeyama.

* Meta Example: The returning veterans throughout the show and movies needs another mention as their very presence is a behind-the-scenes example beyond being for nostalgia purposes. As stated on the main page, [[WhatCouldHaveBeen the initial plan was]] that only the associated Sentai that were part of the toyline (''Magiranger'', ''Dekaranger'', ''Gaoranger'', ''Shinkenger'', ''Hurricaneger'', ''Go-onger'', and to smaller extents, ''Zyuranger'', ''Timeranger'', and ''Abaranger'') would be making cameos, and even then, only the Reds. And then the Tohoku quake and tsunami struck. Amidst all the devastation, Teruaki Ogawa ([[Series/NinjaSentaiKakuranger Ninja Red - Sasuke]] and [[Series/SeijuuSentaiGingaman Black Knight Hyuuga]]) setup a Twitter feed that allowed veteran actors from not just ''Super Sentai'' but ''Kamen Rider'', ''Metal Heroes'', and ''Ultraman'', as well (including villains, as this troper clearly remembers a tweet from Mitsu Murata in-character as [[Series/KamenRiderKiva Bishop]]) to send messages of encouragement and hope to all the children and their former, now-grown audience in the face of this crisis. It's through this feed that many Sentai veteran actors learned about ''Gokaiger'' and its anniversary cameo gimmick and wanted to be involved, particularly in the then-in-production ''[[Film/GokaigerGoseigerSuperSentai199HeroGreatBattle]]''. If the veterans who appeared in the movie as projections after the recovery of the Keys seemed tacked on, it's because they really were not originally part of the production, but were added in midway to help give hope to a struggling nation, and the same applies with all the veterans who appeared in the show after the movie's screening. This influx of former Sentai actors joining the production includes even retired actors like Kazuki Maehara ([[Series/SeijuuSentaiGingaman Ginga Red - Ryouma]]). Even better, they were woven in in a way that helped facilitate the story and CharacterDevelopment. In a way, this even makes the [[FridgeBrilliance Zangyack Empire a metaphor for the tsunami]]. All of this is what makes the very production of ''Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger'' an Awesome and Heartwarming example of an anniversary, and allowed it to be true to its message of heroism in the face of a seemingly terrifying adversity.

* In episode 45, the Gokaigers meet [[Series/NinjaSentaiKakuranger Ninjaman]], who's down in the dumps about how his temper got him sealed in a jar for ten years, so he missed out on the Legendary Battle when he felt he should have been helping his friends. After they cheer him up and get him up to speed, Ninjaman returns the favor in the next episode when he saves the crew from the MoTW's evil power.

* In #30 When Joe learns that Barizorg cannot be reverted back to his old friend Cid he breaks into tears and calls himself a fool for thinking he save his friend when and Liveman's Joh tells him it's natural to feel that way. He then follows by talking about how his friends turned evil and that he couldn't save them, and that he became a teacher at their old school so that future students wouldn't make same mistakes and believe he at least saved Tsukigata and Senda's souls.

*** Fast-forward five years later to special video for ''[[Series/DoubutsuSentaiZyuohger]]'' and [[spoiler: Jealoushitto has grown into a Sentai fanboy not that much different than Gai, showing that his experiences with the Gokaiger and Earth influenced him enough to admire its heroes and to, in that video, teach the newest heroes about the legacy that they are now part of.]]

The Goseigers take pretty much in stride, but the Gokaigers, based on their body language, [[HeroWithBadPublicity clearly aren't as used to]] [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold getting this kind of praise.]]

* in #37, I think the small chat Walz Gils has with Barizorg was pretty heartwarming. When he admits that he knows that most people find him incompetent and admits that he'd be alone if it were not for Barizorg got to me. Brainwashed or not, Barizorg shows his dedication like a true soldier to his leader.

** And just before the Gokaigers and Hurricanegers start their team up fight, a single line (rather, a single word( from Joe: "I'll be counting on you, Senpai." Which doesn't seem like much, until you realize that Joe never refers to the previous Sentai warriors by that honorific, and otherwise uses it only for Cid, his late best friend and mentor. Really says something about how the Hurricanegers impressed GokaiBlue.

** As they manage to deal enough damage to the Black Cross King to stagger him, Marvelous notices one of the sentai figurines glowing, and picks it up. It takes the form of Aka Ranger, the very first red ranger...which then gives Marvelous a small nod. That kind of approval and trust, coming from the first in a long line of distinguished heroes, is bound to give one's heartstrings a tug.

* Junya Ikeda (the actor who plays [[SixthRanger Gokai Silver]]) posted on a blog that when he was in kindergarten he would write about how he wanted to be [[GoseiSentaiDairanger Kiba Ranger]]. And now as Gokai Silver he will finally fulfill that dream. He even said [[http://www.rangerboard.com/showpost.php?p=3783193&postcount=61 "This time, I'll be the hero for the children! I think I'm about to cry!! I'll do my best! It's not only for the children, even grown ups can enjoy this show! Everyone, please do watch it!"]]

* #20 shows that although [[SeijuuSentaiGingaman Ginga Red]] still doesn't trust the Gokaiger, he believes in them. The reason? Their bonds of friendship.

* In #40, the ''[[MiraiSentaiTimeranger Timeranger]]'' tribute episode, ends with Gai sending Domon (Time Yellow) a photo the Gokaiger took with a young boy they saved as well as his mother. Domon initially grouses about the Gokaiger not focusing on the task at hand, but trails off when he realizes that [[spoiler:the mother is Honami, the woman he loved and had to leave behind, and that the boy is the son he never knew]]. Cue the waterworks, both from Domon and the audience.
* A meta example from the Gokaiger/Goseiger movie: the inclusion of [[HimitsuSentaiGoranger Ooiwa]]'s "[[BattleCry Dosukoi!]]", when pretty much everyone else gets TheOtherDarrin treatment.

* Episode 44 has more than a few. The episode ends with Luka turning into [[MahouSentaiMagiranger Magi Mother]] and making it snow for the children so everyone has a white Christmas. Then the Gokaigers return to their ship and find a gift from "Santa Claus" [[spoiler: Battle Kenya in disguise]]: the Battle Fever ultimate power.

** The final Ranger cameo of the series? [[HimitsuSentaiGoranger Tsuyoshi Kaijo]], who shouts some words of encouragement to the departing Gokaigers. [[spoiler:Then his key glows [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome and he turns into Aka Ranger]].]]

The Gokaiger are already aware of what will happen if they use the Greatest Treasure to rid the world of the Zangyack and restore their home planets [[hottip:*:The Greater Powers of the past 34 Super Sentai, ''and the warriors themselves,'' will be lost forever]]. But even if they used the Treasure, they would not be the people they are now. Instead, they allow Gai to decide what should be done because he has an opportunity to save his home planet; an opportunity they never had. But Gai, shedding ManlyTears, [[spoiler: chooses to destroy the Treasure and fight for his home as the SixthRanger]]!

** Gavan still remembers their single meeting all these years later, and tells Marvelous that he's proud of how he grew up. Marvelous questions if that includes him being a pirate, and Gavan tells him that's irrelevant, because Marvelous is a good man and that's what matters.

* In #23, Ahim telling Luka that she's not [[spoiler: Luka's DeadLittleSister, Fia,]] and doesn't need to be protected. By the end of the episode, the 'big sister/little sister' roles has switched from Luka to Ahim, to Ahim to Luka.
