*** And hell even taking THAT into account God is still very patient, never really raises His voice at Alucard, helps his trapped souls find peace, and when He leaves it isn't Him being a bratty child but more of a frustrated parent.

*** This leads to Alucard having a conversation with God after Anderson kills him - and God is very patient and understanding given the atrocities that Alucard had committed in life. Alucard then reads God the riot act for the atrocities he allows to happen on Earth, eventually bringing Satan himself into the loop - and he's extremely cordial, and even asks that God loosen the requirements to get into Heaven, as Hell is getting a bit too full.

** The ending credits for Episode 8 are a rap tribute devoted entirely to Anderson, sung by the entire cast including himself, Alucard, Seras, Pip, The Major, Integra, Maxwell, and Heinkel. Not only does it give him a backstory, its done entirely in the style of Hamilton!

No meta moment, see this query.

*** As a bit of a meta-moment, Episode 8 is also the first episode to credit Nowacking's role as "Seras Victoria" in the credits and youtube description instead of "Police Girl" or "Ma Chere", to go along with characters finally acknowledging her proper name.
*** Even more meta: Nowacking came out as a transman shortly after this episode, so the subtext feels like Team Four Star respecting his new identity.

* A meta example: According to the Twitch Halloween stream, the finale of Hellsing Ultimate Abridged coincided with Takahata's decision to get sober, so Alucard's introspective turn in the final episode tied into that.

Correcting misuse.

*** Hell, Alucard's reaction to Walter interrupting the DueToTheDead speaks volumes. No humor, no jokes, just a simple SayMyName, screamed to the sky in absolute fury.

* Alucard choosing to turn Police Girl is the closest thing to a conscience he shows the entire series. You know, besides the fact that he shot the hostage 10 seconds ago.

Added DiffLines:

* At the beginning of the finale, Alucard shows he considers Alexander Anderson a WorthyOpponent by pretty much implying him as being in the same league as two separate military forces (The Major's Nazi soldiers and Maxwell's forces).

** Given Heinkel's earlier concern, this gives the impression she'd been following him just to pull a rescue of this nature
