* Just before they step through the portal back to the car, Mayumi stops the family and breaks her silence to give Erma a music box she bought at the market, hoping that it provides comfort to Erma much as the one Emiko gave Mayumi did. ** Despite the mishaps at the North Pole from running from Santa, she ultimately fails to get the sword for Sylvia. Until Christmas morning, it's revealed that Santa and Mrs. Claus realize the efforts she was willing to go for her friend in getting the sword for her, not only give Erma one sword, but two to share. Erma and her family then go to Sylvia's home to deliver the present and Sylvia can hardly contain herself and thanks Erma with a sweet hug. The special ends with both girls ready to fight the snow monsters with their swords together.
