* How would Nevada (or anyone) know what happened to ? He looks like a zombie and is dead, so logically anyone who found the body would assume he turned and got shot after, right? But zombies only die to head injuries, and was shot in the chest--since no weirdo is going around putting zombie makeup on corpses after the apocalypse, it's pretty easy to put two and two together.

** And if they weren't vegans before, the possibility of consuming tainted meat, or eating or drinking dairy from tainted cows, would have converted many of them.
* It might seem silly to think that zombies might be affected by pepper spray. But the idea they can be deterred by chemicals is actually showcased in the first Zombieland. When Columbus has to fight off a zombified 406, he ends up fending her off temporarily by spraying her in the mouth with something from an aerosol can. Either the sensation or flavor of which deterrs her long enough to let him get some distance. Showing that the zombies do maintain some sense of sensation and sensitivity to sources not caused by cutting or blunt force.

** The flashback also confirms that most people were originally infected by tainted food. Unless you believe that Al Roker would have shown up for Murray's interview after getting bitten.
** More of a tearjerker, but one of the first things we learn about Madison is that she's been living in a freezer for ten years. Meaning that:
*** If she's as old as her actress, she would have barely been a teen when the outbreak started.
*** Before Tallahassee and Columbus find her, she never even left the mall. Is it any wonder she is the way she is?
* Madison's survival in the movie was based on pure luck if you think about it, because:
** The zombie could have bit her on the leg instead of on her foot that was protected by her boots.
** Columbus could have very well been willing to put her out of her misery when she seemingly showed signs of turning, but decided not to because he couldn't bring himself to kill a girl he loved, zombie or not.
** The fact that she somehow miraculously recovered from a rather severe-looking anaphylactic shock without any medical aid, or that she fortunately had some medication with her which she could have easily forgotten or didn't even know she had given that she forgot about her peanut allergy in the first place.
** She managed to find her way back to the clown van without any weapons other than some mace. Given her lack of transportation at the time, the T-800s running amuck, and her less-than adept survival skills from living in a freezer the entire apocalypse, this was obviously a very dangerous trip.

* The "no guns" rule does not make much sense in a zombie apocalypse, and it is unlikely that the rule had been applied on a whim. It could be in place because Babylon has gone through something much worse than zombies. Maybe internal strife or even a mini Civil War in the area that killed off the vast majority of the adults. Eventually, some children who survived it could have decided working together would be more beneficial to their survival than fighting each other.

* How could they do the Zombie Kill of the Year bit twice? The first one was done when the heroes entered the White House. Sometime later, they celebrate Christmas and then flash forward six weeks. Then we see the second one. Even though Little Rock says that they're celebrating Christmas in the middle of November, six weeks would be enough to put the two Zombie Kill of the Year bits in different years.
* The sequel's subtitle is Double Tap. Not only does "double" normally refer to "two", but "double tap" is number two on Columbus' list of rules for survival.

* Babylon thought they were safe, as the climax shows, it is actually really easy to get into, only by pure dumb luck did no zombies come through, but, what about human antagonists? Like most zombie media, not everyone in Zombieland is going to be helpful or at least not hostile, if the Zombies can make it in, a couple of guys with guns and no morals would be able to make mincemeat out of them, seeing as they melt down arguably the most precious resource outside of food and water, and generally hold massive easily spotted parties.

*** Nearly all of the other survivors at Babylon are Madison and Little Rock's age, which could mean it is likely that most of them had been orphaned within those ten years. Babylon could have run as a safe haven for families with children, but the parents who did the dirty work outside their compound eventually all died.

** While we see the Ninja zombie bite her boot, we don't actually see any blood. Madison also doesn't express any pain or anything when she is "bitten".
** Obviously a zombie bite wouldn't have been powerful enough to puncture Madison's Ugg boots, and that also ties in with the fact that we see no blood or any expression of pain from her.
* On a meta-level, Madison's ZombieInfectee fake-out is this. After surviving a zombie horde to try (and fail) to get an RV, Madison is rapidly turning sick. Her face turns red, she is coughing, vomiting, having trouble speaking and her face is gnarled and swollen, looking similar to that of a zombie. It is at this point that GenreSavvy movie goers would expect this to be a fake-out, Madison totally being dumb enough to forget she had an allergy to the very thing she was eating when the reaction started. Instead of revealing this right away, Columbus puts her down off-screen. They drive off and it is hours later, insinuating that this was her last scene. Afterwards, the gang makes it to Graceland where they meet Nevada, Albuquerque and Flagstaff. In this scene, Albuquerque and Flagstaff both get bitten and their infections after almost just like Madison's; coughing, vomiting and irritation of the skin. This not only shows us for the first time how the zombie infection of this world works, but it further cements the idea that she is gone, only to later to surprise the GenreSavvy viewers with her surprise survival.

* Of course, the commune of hippies were spared infection. The initial infection was started by tainted meat. They're all vegans and avoided the primary source of the infection. Provided they could run and hide (and that their walls held up), they'd be just fine.

* There are actually several clues to Madison's SelfInducedAllergicReaction;
** She starts to "turn" while sharing a trail mix with Wichita... who doesn't get infected by sharing finger food with someone who's saliva would be highly infectious at that point.
** After seeing Albuquerque and Flagstaff's ViralTransformation, from T-800 zombies no less, Madison actually becomes much sicker, much more quickly in comparison.
** She also shows some slightly different symptoms; the rashes on her face, flatulence. All of which wouldn't be out of place for an allergic reaction.
** Albuquerque and Flagstaff become incoherent almost immediately after showing symptoms, but Madison is still ranting to Columbus about being a "monster" long after she first starts throwing up.
** While we see the Ninja zombie bite her boot, we don't actually see any blood. Madison also doesn't express any pain or anything when she is "bitten".
