* While ridiculed as "man tries to fight tornado" Jo's father bracing the door, might have saved Jo and her mother's lives, they weren't very far down, still close enough to the surface that a strong enough tornado could've sucked them right up, by holding the door, he might have been hoping that he could keep the door shut long enough that the tornado would move enough out of range, that the winds wouldn't be close enough to suck the family out.

**The Fujita scale uses the severity of the damage caused to classify the tornado, not the wind speed.

!!The Jan De Bont Movie
[[WMG: Fridge Brilliance]]
*There are six levels of the (Enhanced) Fujita scale: F0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. There are six twisters total in the movie.
*Discounting the first twister in the DownerBeginning, the tornadoes follow some pattern. The first one could qualify as an F1, the second an F2, and so forth. Although this might be hard to backup considering that wind is used to scale the tornado, not damage. Although we know that the second last is confirmed as an F4 (confirmed by a news station on the radio), and the last can be an F5 (it lifted a house from its foundation, a common description with F5 twisters).

[[WMG: Fridge Horror]]
*At the drive-in theater, after the F4 passes, there doesn't seem to be a lot of people emerging from shelter. How many took shelter? How many survived?
