Antigang (also known as The Squad and The Sweeney Paris) is a 2015 French action film directed by Benjamin Rocher and starring Jean Reno. It is a remake of the 2012 film The Sweeney.

Serge Buren is a legendary cop, surrounded by a group of young cops with unconventional methods. Whether they use baseball bats or "forget" the rules during spectacular arrests, the results are there! It is then that a group of murderous robbers enters the scene, robbing the capital's banks and jewelry stores with disconcerting ease, using weapons of war and unstoppable scenarios. Faced with such ingenuity and brutality, Buren and his unit find themselves confronted with a delicate situation: will their expeditious methods be enough to stop these much more Machiavellian criminals?

  • Bait-and-Switch Gunshot: Niels has just finished off one of Kasper's gang during the final battle when he turns around and finds another gang member pointing a gun at him. There is a shot, and then the gang member falls over as Manu walks on from off-screen, carrying a smoking shotgun.
  • Batter Up!: The squad carries baseball bats in their cars which they employ against criminals in their raids.
  • Blown Across the Room: Following the bank robbery, one of Kasper's gang grabs a passerby to use as a Human Shield. Serge shoots and wounds the hostage taker, forcing to release the hostage. As soon as he does so, Serge opens up with full burst that catches him in the chest and blows him backwards through a set of doors and down the stairs.

  • Bound and Gagged: Kasper and his gang leave the armoured car crews bound and gagged when they take their places to hijack the funds transfer.
  • Can't You Read the Sign?: Serge and Niels are both smoking in the surveillance van. Manu asks if he can bum a cigarette off one of them, as he forgot to buy any. Serge just points somberly at the 'No Smoking' displayed prominently in the van.
  • Car Fu: In the parking garage, Kasper takes down Serge by reversing into him at high speed.
  • Cowboy Cop: Serge Buren is a cowboy cop leading a squad of cowboy cops who use unorthodox and violent methods to take down gangs. Needless to say, Serge's new boss does not approve of their tactics and tries to shut them down.

Margaux grabs Serge's dropped automatic rifle and leaps on to the bonnet of Kasper's car. She levels the gun at Kasper and pulls the trigger, only for the clip to run dry. Kasper responds with a Boom, Headshot!.

Later, when the gang is forced to split up and attempt to escape on foot, one of them is cornered by Serge and grabs a passerby to use as a shield; causing Serge to Shoot the Hostage Taker.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Genu uses an 'enforcer' — a one-man battering ram used for breaching doors — as a hand-to-hand weapon; wielding it like a tonfa during the final fight against Kasper's gang.
