::Freddie just doomed Nora and, by extension, everybody in the house. Nora would realistically be the first one to figure out that the murders are real, and (except for Sara's cell phone, which Michael doesn't know about) would be the only one in the house able to warn the rest. Michael is a killer who thrives on stealth, so leaving Freddie instead of killing him is perfectly in character -- murdering Freddie right there will likely get him caught, but killing Nora will take away an important lifeline. Sure enough, Nora turns up dead later on, having been killed off-screen.

* The infamous scene where Freddie first meets Michael and basically [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJ7IK9cY4D0 tells him to go fuck himself]] may, at first glance, make Michael look ridiculously out of character. After all, this is ''[[ImplacableMan Michael Myers]]''; he is ''not'' supposed to be made to look like a fool by Music/BustaRhymes, of all people! But pay attention to what Freddie tells Michael:
-->"You need to take your ass in the back of the garage with Nora. That's your job! Go back there to Nora and help her ass out. Go do the job. I left the back door unlocked for your ass to go out the back into the garage! That's what I did. You need to get the hell out of here! Get out! Scoot, skedaddle! Get the fuck outta Dodge!"
