* ArtisticLicensePhysics: ArtisticLicenseEngineering: Even if we accept the utterly ludicrous fact that General Katana somehow managed to accelerate a subway train to whopping seven hundred miles per hour -- ''way'' beyond the capabilities of an engine powering such vehicle -- neither the train's wheels and chassis nor the tracks themselves would withstand the resulting friction. Not to mention, the train itself would simply fall out of the rails on the first turn.

Added DiffLines:

** General Katana taking control over subway train and speeding up to a few hundred miles per hour would not have such drastic consequences for the passengers the way it is shown. That is because it's not the speed itself which causes the g-force, but the ''acceleration''. Since the train -- from what we can see on the display -- gains momentum at a fairly steady rate, the force pushing people backwards would not increase exponentially either, regardless of vehicle's current speed. On the other hand, when the train finally comes to an abrupt stop, rapid deceleration from over seven hundred miles per hour to only a few miles per hour has absolutely no visible effect, even though it is ''then'' when they should've been suddenly, violently thrown forward with predictably messy (''far'' more messy than what we can see in the movie) results.

* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Katana is utterly ''flummoxed'' when Connor tells him he had no intentions of ever going back to Zeist, and is only coming for him now because ''he'' started their ancient feud up again by sending his idiot goons.

Corpsing is now trivia, moving to that tab.

* {{Corpsing}}: In the theatrical cut, Creator/ChristopherLambert is visibly unable to keep a straight face in two scenes where the dialogue lampshades the IdiotPlot the movie is based on - the first time when Connor has the face-to-face discussion with Katana about how stupid and counterproductive his plan was, and the second during the LetMeGetThisStraight moment with Louise.

* PlotHole: At one point the radio mentions that the Shield Corporation is charging customers ridiculous rates. While it's meant to show [[EvilInc what greedy assholes they are]], a moment's thought should make one realize the whole thing makes no sense, as how would they make the shield not effect people who refuse to pay? Other than just turning the whole shield off which would [[StupidEvil kill them as well.]]

* SciFiWritersHaveNoSenseOfScale: At one point Connor and Louise have to ''' Climb up a freaking ladder''' to reach the Ozone Layer. As the Ozone layer is about 9-25 miles up (i.e higher than the top of Mount Everest at the shortest), how they could climb for that long without getting muscle fatigue and falling to their doom is a mystery. The whole idea of a ladder that big not collapsing (even if it's attached to a wall) is hard to swallow as well.

* VillainBall: General Katana of Zeist sends his two goons to kill Connor [=MacLeod=] on planet Earth. When one of them points out that [=MacLeod=] is now mortal and unlikely to return, Katana slaps the guy and sends them to Earth and, of course, they die making [=MacLeod=] immortal again, thus remaking the Gathering, thus obliging Katana to go himself and, of course getting himself killed. Or better yet, why would you give political exiles the chance to obtain the "Prize," I.E. the chance to become a '''[[PhysicalGod GOD?]]''' [[CanonDiscontinuity The alien explanation was quickly]] [[{{Retcon}} retconned.]]
