* FantasticRacism: The Forever Knights, as per canon, despise aliens and other non-humans, with focus given towards their goal of wiping out the trolls.

* RidiculouslyHumanRobots: Life Model Decoys are confirmed to exist in this universe, having been invented by Howard Stark after the Kennedy assassination, but with the concept eventually being abandoned due to how prone the [=LMDs=] are to breaking down as a result of their complexity. Doctor Doom later stole some and perfected the tech to create his Doombots.

* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: Nova Prime orders the Nova Corps and everyone connected to it, including Captain Marvel, not to get involved in Morando's coup or his pursuit of the Tarron siblings. Carol's immediate reaction to this is to alert S.W.O.R.D. to what's happening and the siblings' impending arrival on Earth, because they need help and it's the right thing to do.

** In Chapter 35 of ''The Girl Who Could Knock Out the Hulk'', the heroes are about to be overwhelmed by Doom's supernatural allies, so Ellie allows Thor and Strange to supercharge her enough that she can use her Ghostly Wail against them, despite the fact that doing so could potentially destabilize and melt her. [[spoiler: Fortunately, she just loses consciousness right after taking all the villains out of commission.]]

** Tony Stark and Pepper Potts.
** Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase. They even live together in an apartment in Midtown and it's heavily implied that Annabeth is pregnant and she has yet to tell Percy.
** Nico di Angelo and Will Solace are shown to be one.
** Dipper and Tulip become a couple in their college years.
** Marinette and Adrien become one during his birthday party.
** Ben and Julie have been dating for a while when we first see them.

** Discussed by Strange when he mentions that he saw visions of [[spoiler:Doom killing alternate versions of him before revealing that Doom himself is not native to their universe]]. As it turns out, [[spoiler: Doom ''is'' native to their universe, its just that he and the original version of Reed Richards have been rebooting and altering the timeline numerous times.]]

* ForWantOfANail:
** More heroes showing up during the events of the Battle of New York to protect civilians leads to the Avengers expanding their ranks much earlier.
** Vilgax's invasion of Arcadia makes the Avengers privy to Thanos and the threat he poses to Earth far ahead of schedule.
** S.W.O.R.D. managed to intercept Dropkick and Shatter's transmissions about Earth, preventing the rest of the Transformers from coming to the planet so far.
** N'Jadaka/Erik was taken to Wakanda by his uncle, so he’s not nearly as much of an extremist as in canon thanks to growing up with his cousins, while T’Challa is being more proactive in world affairs earlier on.
** Team STRQ found a young Cinder in Atlas and decided to take her in, which has massive repercussions for the canon ''RWBY'' timeline. The changes go so far as Salem deciding to delay enacting in her big plans for a generation.
** Thanks to [[spoiler:Power Girl]] intercepting the Akiridion ship in mid-air, it doesn't land in the suburbs. Also, because the ship was more damaged in the escape and landing than in canon, they don't even have enough spare power to generate holographic disguises.
** Tony Stark's presence at the San Fransico Institute of Technology during Hiro's presentation means he is there during the fire, [[spoiler:and he is able to prevent Tadashi's death by blasting him out of the fire before the explosion]].
** Thanks to eavesdropping on Tony talking with Cass, Hiro realizes that someone set the fire deliberately and stole the microbots ''much'' earlier than in canon.

** Thanks in part to Hawk Moth being more proactive with keeping them focused, it's made clear that ''every'' Akuma will be a serious threat to the heroes in this story, or will at least gain information that another Akuma can use.

** Relating to the above point, [[spoiler:'''all''' the non-Marvel characters in the Kryptonverse are technically this to their canonical versions due to the alterations Doom and Reed have been getting the Celestials to make. WordOfGod says that, if Ben went to the universe of the canon Ben 10 series, for example, the native versions of him and his family would still be there.]]

** Kara remembers the reality before the [[spoiler:retcon in Chapter 34 due to being at ground zero of the change]], as do Thor, Bruce, Strange, Dani, and Nico.

** Nico feels this not himself, but on the behalf of his friends, those who fought and bled defending humanity against the giants and Titans, and hopes that when TheMasquerade comes down for good, they'll be respected the same way the Avengers are.

* TrueCompanions: The Fantastic Four are this even before they were forced into a life of crime. They look out for each other and show concern when the other gets hurt. Ben even offers to take the fall for the whole team so the rest don't go to prison, but they refuse to let him suffer alone.

* DarknessVonGothickName: Victor von Doom. Kara even lampshades that with a name like that, he might as well change his name to "Evil [=McBadguy=]".

* AmbiguousSituation: The final chapter of ''She Stole My Heart (and most of my valuables)'' is deliberately sparse on the details of what happened during the final conflict of season two of ''The Owl House'', like whether or not Belos survived, in order to avoid contradicting the canon events as much as possible.

* ActuallyADoombot: The TropeNamer is the BigBad of ''The Girl Who Could Knock Out the Hulk'', so of course this comes up, with Doom using one as a decoy during the Labyrinth arc. This leads to Kara wonder if she's ''ever'' been in the same room as him (WordOfGod, though, confirms their first encounter was in-person on Doom's part).

* AdaptationalWimp: The Saiyans and Z Fighters, while powerful in their own right, are much weaker in that none of them are planet-busters nor do they have the potential to become as such.

* TheReveal: Chapter 34 of ''The Girl Who Could Knock Out the Hulk'' is full of reveals: [[spoiler: Doom is working with an alternate version of Reed Richards. They are from the MCU, and were so traumatized by the Snap and its aftereffects that they've been rebooting and altering the timeline repeatedly to try and create an Earth strong enough to defeat Thanos before he can get the Infinity Stones.]]

* NebulousEvilOrganization: In MCU canon, Project Centipede was a subset of HYDRA. Here, it's a coalition of various factions pooling resources in a competition to see who can TakeOverTheWorld first.

** Ben and Julie did date in canon, but here they apparently started crushing on each other in third grade where as they originally first met in their teens.

** Doctor Strange has never heard of ''Literature/{{Twilight}}''.

* AdaptationOriginConnection:
** The process of creating [[WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse Gems]] uses [[WesternAnimation/VoltronLegendaryDefender Quintessence]], which is itself later established to be the blood of Celestials.
** The Trolls of ''WesternAnimation/{{Trollhunters}}'' originally came from Svartalfheim, home realm of the Dark Elves, who enslaved them. This led to the trolls aiding the Asgardians when they fought the Dark Elves during the Convergence, for which Malekith supposedly wiped them out.
** [[WesternAnimation/ThreeBelow Akiridion-V]] is a member world of the Nova Empire.
** Kassandra is one of Ares' demigod children, who ascended to full godhood after completing her quest.
** [[WesternAnimation/Wizards2020 Bellroc]] was the first Sorcerer Supreme, with Skrael and Nari also holding the title at various points.
** Juleka is from a long line of [[Literature/HarryPotter witches]] on her mother's side.
** The First Ones who colonized Etheria were Alteans who used alchemy to permanently lock themselves into a form lacking their shapeshifting, ears, and facial markings in order to hide themselves from the Galra, said modifications even passing onto their children.
** [[WesternAnimation/BigHero6 SFIT]] was heavily invested in by Stark Industries. Also, Hiro and Tadashi's parents worked for the [[Film/Venom2018 LIFE Foundation]], and [[WesternAnimation/BigHero6TheSeries Granville]] and Callahagn taught Tony when he was in school.
** The humans on Etheria and other worlds in the Milky Way are the descendants of escapees from Blue Diamond's Zoo and the Xandarians who rescued them.
** The ''Mass Effect'' races are part of the Kree or Nova empires [[spoiler: after Doom brings them in]].
** Monica has her powers by the time of ''The Royal We'' despite the Hex not existing yet, if at all. WordOfGod is that this is the result of being exposed to Carol's Tesseract-derived powers over her childhood, which altered her DNA.
** Señor Uhl retired from active S.H.I.E.L.D. service after a mission in Bahrain, implied to be the same one from Melinda May's backstory.

** It's heavily implied that She-Ra is something similar to the Olympians and other deities of Earth, and Catra's claws are vibranium ones that were implanted in her.

* HostileTerraforming: According to the notes in ''Eternity In Promise'', the First One's terraforming of Etheria wiped out the indigenous people of the planet at the time. It wasn't even intentional, their changes to the planet simply caused the planet to change.

** Granville didn't appear until the events of ''WesternAnimation/BigHero6TheSeries''. Here, she shows up to greet Tony before the fire.

** Titanium Man using a Tesseract-powered Unibeam to incapacitate Supergirl caused her costume to suffer from ClothingDamage that resulted in [[BareYourMidriff her stomach being exposed]] and causing it to resemble her Post-Crisis outfit.

** Ms. Bustier is more proactive with her students, serves as a mentor figure to Chloe, and was also [[spoiler:a Miraculous holder]].

* PsychicBlockDefense: As a result of being exposed to Bill Cipher for so long, the Pines have apparently developed a resilience to psychic effects. Unfortunately for Luz, she lacks this resistance, so the Gremoblin's YourWorstNightmare gaze is significantly worse on her than it is on them.

* YourWorstNightmare: Luz is subjected to a dying Gremlobin's fear gaze, and due to not having the sort of built up resistance that the Pines family has, is trapped in an intense collection of her worst fears. First, she's in her normal school, experiencing an amalgamation of every bad experience she ever had there. Then she's at Hexside, with Amity mocking her extensively for not having inherent magic. And finally, she's informed that Eda has been imprisoned and her mother has come to take her home, with the nightmare ending as her mother starts berating her for running off.
