* BelievingTheirOwnLies: When Elsa was younger and Jaime first started abusing her he would justify his actions with the lame excuse that she deserves it because she "sinned more than anyone in Arendelle" by 1) nearly killing Aphrodite (in childbirth) and "depriving" Arendelle of a (male) heir because of the damage said birth did to her womb. After years of deluding himself into believing that Elsa is evil and deserves the cruelty he gives her he finally decides to give into his self-imposed belief that Elsa actually deserves to be imprisoned and tortured for her "crimes".

* BondVillainStupidity: Jamie is so sadistic, rather than just killing Elsa he has to torture her some more and stab her in the stomach so she dies slowly. Shortly after Elsa is rescued by Anna and saved.

* ColdBloodedTorture: Jamie and Mad have been doing this to Elsa since she was eight years old. Giving her far worse treatment than any of the other prisoners and treating her like a beast. Tyler gets this after beating Jamie at a game of chess and refusing to tell him where Elsa is.

Adult Fear is now a disambig

* AdultFear:
** Jamie's greatest fear is that Elsa will overthrow him, thus he decided to abuse and torture her so much that she becomes completely broken and fear stricken of him that she does whatever he says. Though he would still kill her later.
---> [[spoiler: The king couldn't help but feel a pinch of fear towards his daughter. He couldn't imagine that Elsa would over-power him when she would grow up and so would her powers as warned by the troll. And that encouraged him to apply the technique of 'Fear'. I will not let a monster over-power King Jamie of Arendelle.]]
** More prominent in Aphrodite, the whole reason she ran away was to save her daughters from her husbands abuse but was only able to escape with one, leaving behind the one that her husband hated and abused the most. She then hears news that said daughter died and lives with her guilt for many years then when she finally gets Elsa back she is horrified to learn that her husband has been abusing and torturing her all this time while she's been hiding away thinking she was dead. And now she's too afraid to tell her who she is in fear of being rejected. The whole reason that Elsa returns is because Tyler sent Anna to steal from the king (her husband). She is horrified at the prospect of her being caught and recognized by the very man she tried to keep her away from.
