** Several characters have different Hero names. For example Izuku picks , Momo picks , Kaminari goes with , Ashido and the rest of the class convince Midnight to let her keep Alien Queen, and Aoyama's suggestion is completely shot down instead of shortened.

Taiga is a human in the source material, but here he is a Blade that looks like a tiger.tiger.
** Wolfram is also a Blade, while in canon he's a villain.

** Rei. While in canon she was only a recipient of Endeavor's abuse and her burning Shoto was a MomentOfWeakness, in this fic she was in turn abusive towards Endeavor due to her declining mental health, even leaving permanent scaring on him. She was also the one who insisted she and Endeavor have more children after Fuyumi despite his protests. Her turning against Shoto was the straw that broke the camel's back, rather than an one-time thing. That said, Rei is treated in the story as a nice person with severe mental health issues that she's working on, rather than a monster.

* AdaptationalNiceGuy: Endeavor was still an abusive father and husband... At first. He reveals to Izuku that he didn't want more children after Fuyumi, and the reason he separated Shoto from his siblings was because Touya tried to kill him. In addition, Rei attacking Shoto made him place her in a clinic to protect his children rather than his reputation, and afterwards he started going to therapy himself. By the time of the fic he is a considerably more self-aware person who acknowledges his mistakes, and even asks Izuku to help Shoto with his fire for his own health.

* DisabilitySuperpower: While Quirks and Blades are not mutually exclusive, it's noted several times that Quirkless people have far greater aptitude to harmonize with Blades than those with Quirks.

* EmergencyTransformation:

** Izuku and start

to:

* RefusalOfTheCall: Nezu gave Shoto the Core Crystal of the Ice Blade that was almost destroyed at USJ, but he gives it to Izuku because he doesn't want to know if he's Blade compatible or not.

* FeelNoPain: As a result of being relentlessly bullied for years, Izuku a level of pain tolerance higher than blades. This extends to most quirkless people.
* TheGlomp: Inko's hugs are death traps. Izuku admits that with the way she shows affection, he's not used to actual affection, and he issues warnings to anyone about to visit his house.

** Subverted with Hawks. While he has Bakugou as an apprentice, in actuality, he is just as disgusted with Bakugou as the rest of the world is, but the HPSC paid him to take Bakugou on. He mentally remarks that he will have to find and apologize to them and explain why he took Bakugou in the first place.

* DatingCatwoman: There is no actual dating involved, but Kurogiri has romantic feelings for Midnight, and it's all but stated he's been holding torch for her since highschool. Midnight doesn't know ber old classmate is still alive though.

** After Izuku wins first place in the sports festival and Bakugou recovers, Nezu cheerfully explains to Bakugou that he is kicked out of heroics to gen-ed and will not be coming back. Furthermore, because of Setsuna's actions, Bakugou is blacklisted from heroics altogether because he's PR suicide. As such, Bakugou runs away and is eventually taken in by the HPSC.

Added DiffLines:

* TheRunaway: Bakugou runs away from home after being kicked out of heroics, as well as refusing to be part of the 'rejects' as he calls the gen-ed students.

** Endeavor and Rei have a significantly better relationship than in canon. While Rei is still locked in a mental ward, the two have been exchanging letter ever since she was admitted and they're now in an amicable LongDistanceRelationship. This is in contrast to canon where the two don't keep in contact at all.

* DatingCatwoman: There is no actual dating involved, but Kurogiri has romantic feelings for Midnight, and it's all but stated he's been holding torch for her since highschool. Midnight doesn't know ber old classmate is still alive though.

* InnocentlyInsensitive: Basically Tsuyu. While she means no harm to anyone and IJustWantToHaveFriends just wants to have friends, she doesn't take into consideration other people's feelings. She insists that other people should be friends with her, insists that is a villain without looking into the matter herself or noticing how displeased everyone else is at her saying that, and has a tendency to jump to conclusions. Eventually Ochako calls her out on forcing other people into friendships with her.

* MaliciousMisnaming: keeps calling Izuku "" to promote the image that Izuku . She even lets it "slip" during a .

* SuckySchool: In spite of how UA presents itself, Aizawa single-handedly drags down standards, being blatantly discriminatory and biased and more interested in ruining children's lives than he is in actually teaching them, aka his damn job. His bad hygiene also got various students sick. The worst part of Midnight's frustrations is that Nedzu lets him get away with it in spite of her attempts to get her former friend fired. It was so bad that UA loses a lot of its lustre for the 1-A students. It speaks to how bad it is that an ex-villain who attacked them during the USJ Incident replacing Aizawa turns out to be a significant improvement for the school as a whole.

** The other hero schools are far more oppressive to their students as a whole, operating more as military academies instead of schools. Shiketsu in particular has some very misogynistic undertones and expels students for dating. One student even threatens telling their teachers that another student hold romantic feelings for someone not even in their school.
* SuspiciouslySpecificDenial: No, Tenya and Camie aren't dating, but everyone is invited to the wedding. Trope because Shiketsu, the school Camie is attending, forbids students from dating, and they can't risk her getting expelled.

Added DiffLines:

* ATruceWhileWeGawk: During the fight between , several heroes and villains just sit on the sidelines and watch them. One of them even admits that he doesn't really feel like fighting with all that's going on.
