But their quest will take them out of Equestria, forcing them to face the elements, the unknown, and their own demons and self-doubt along the way.

** And everything the girls learn-- Applejack learning to Stand Firm from the earth ponies of Gildedale, Rainbow Dash learning to control lightning from the pronghorns, Rarity learning how to teleport from the deer--comes in handy during the confrontation with [[spoiler: the World Snake]] in Chapter 18.
