* TeacherStudentRomance: Happens to Chisa Yukizome when she falls for Makoto. However, it's Downplayed since Chisa's (who is only four years older than Makoto[[note]]She was part of Class 74 while Makoto is part of Class 78[[/note]], averting a severe AgeGapRomance) feelings are more romantic than sexual in nature, as it was [[NiceGuy Makoto's]] [[AllLovingHero kindness]] and willingness to help her and her students that made her get interested in him. [[spoiler: When he helps her after she suffers a BrokenPedestal moment with Kyosuke Munakata and ends up drunk, his loyalty, willingness to help her, and [[AboveTheInfluence refusal to take advantage of the situation]] leads to her becoming part of his harem.]] That being said, she isn't unwilling to use her more mature body to try and tempt him, and she is one of the more actively seductive members of the group, and Makoto does find her incredibly attractive and even flirts with her playfully.

* PoorCommunicationKills: In chapter 16, ''Everyday Life with Li'l Ultimates'', Makoto, working as a teacher's aide, is put to work with the Warriors of Hope, and all of them become very attached to him and he becomes close to them as well. However, [[spoiler: he's able to figure out that [[AbusiveParents something's wrong with their home lives]], and works alongside Miaya Gekkogahara, Hope's Peak Elementary's nurse and his grandfather (a judge) to help them out. However, the stress of trying to help their various problems and the reality of the bureaucracy being too slow to help out causes him to repeat the MadnessMantra "It'll all be over soon" in getting them the help they need. Unfortunately, the Warriors of Hope misunderstand what he means, and after another horrible day, they believe he's done dealing with them, and this is what spurns them to [[DrivenToSuicide commit suicide]]. When Makoto comes back and sees the suicide note, he's horrified to see them apologize for upsetting him, though thankfully, he is able to [[InterruptedSuicide save them]] and have them testify about their home lives, [[EarnYourHappyEnding earning them]] [[HappilyAdopted new home lives free of abuse]].]] The trope is even [[LampshadeHanging lampshaded]].
