Here, her tomboyish nature continued to develop rather than abate, becoming the captain of the girls soccer team, [[GetAHoldOfYourselfMan slapping Yolei when she gets hysterical]], giving a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech facing down Gargomon, and straight up punching Yolei, [[spoiler: who was being a bitch and ridiculing Sora [[KickTheDog over her parents and her feelings for Tai]]]].

* IgnoredAesop: Cody's grandfather is always encouraging him to maintain an open mind, but while Cody respects his grandfather, he always ignores this advice when dealing with Ken no matter how many other people come to believe he's changed.

* OnlyFriend: According to the letter and presents from [[spoiler: Ken]], he considers Davis, Kari, and TK to be his only 3 friends ([[BlackAndWhiteInsanity Cody]] and [[LoveHungry Yolei]] can understood that).

* LaResistance: Ken's tyrannical reign causes a group of digimon to form a fighting force devoted to liberating their world. Unfortunately their leader is extremely prejudicial against all humans and can't seem to get it through his head the Digidestined are the good guys. * MoralityPet: Applies to Palmon to a degree; even when Mimi was initially reluctant to go back into the Digital World and get involved in the fighting all over again, whenever she's reunited with Palmon she's incapable of disappointing her old partner.

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Ken has seemingly forgot the events that lead up to his conquering of the digital world, such as the fact [[spoiler: he was responsible (accidently) for the death of his older brother, how he came to know Wormmon, and the knowledge Digimon were living creatures.]] The realization hits him much harder than the original story.

* ItsAllAboutMe: Mimi and Yolei have a bad case of this until [[spoiler:Ken's death.]] Davis begins with it, but slowly grows out of it around the middle point of the story.

* CoolBoat: Because none of Veemon's armor forms can fly or swim, during the assault on the Kaiser's base, Davis thinks to try and make a canoe out of a nearby palmtree to follow the others, as it's the only thing around to work with. [[ShaggySearchTechnique Resting his hand against it]], he accidentally throws the lever and he and Veemon are suddenly riding a small island.

* ShipSinking: Any chance of a Kenyako pairing is obliterated when Yolei gets rejected by Ken despite dedicating everything to get his attention to the point of even selling out her friends just for the chance to get him [[spoiler:as well as him dying which cements this even further.]] Given the fact that he never give any tape for her, it seems that Ken doesn't really consider her a friend either.

* ShipSinking: Any chance of a Kenyako pairing is obliterated when Yolei gets rejected by Ken despite dedicating everything to get his attention to the point of even selling out her friends just for the chance to get him. Mainly because its original counterpart is [[AwesomeMusic "Brave Heart"]].

* AbusiveParents: Yolei's parents refuse to buy her new glasses after her original ones break because she has a big debt in their store because of all the food she takes for the Digimon.

* ArtisticLicenseMilitary: When the kids arrive in North America they are attacked by the USAF. The only problem is that their attackers are A-10 Thunderbolts. A ground attack aircraft. While the A-10 does carry air-to-air missiles, they are meant for self-defense and no air force officer worth his wings would send them against an airborne threat. And Imperialdramon is stated to be moving at the speed of sound, which is more than twice the maximum speed of the Thunderbolt. On the other hand, it could be a way of showing just how much disarray the world is in from the Dark World Invasion.

** In canon[[note]]Or TK's original novel if you prefer[[/note]] Mimi is a both a GenkiGirl and NiceGirl from the very start with the new Digidestined liking her but especially Yolei whom she fantasizes with. But in the fanfic, [[spoiler: due to PTSD from the first series pushing her to distance herself from her friends,]] she starts off as an AlphaBitch with no clear signs of her notable SpoiledSweet personality to the point that the same Digidestined greatly dislikes her and she shuns off any mentions of Digimon and [[DoggedNiceGuy Joe]]. As a result, she ends up being one of the Digidestined with the least appearances in the fanfic and those appearance has her do nothing but whine around some more. But once CharacterDevelopment kicks in, she eventually TookALevelInKindness after realizing how bitchy and coward she is by running away from all the fights, eventually apologizing to the Digidestined and she reverts back to her SpoiledSweet characterization she has in the original canon.

* ShipSinking: Any chance of a Kenyako pairing is obliterated when [[spoiler: Ken gets one-shotted by Oikawa]].

* SecretTestOfCharacter: The new Digidestined inadvertantly end up completing challenges relating to the first season Digidestined, in order to earn their respective Digieggs for Armor Digivolution. Although the same eggs are earned by the same characters as the original show, Yolei earns the Digiegg of Purity (the original form of Mimi's crest before the Saban dub changed her trait to Sincerity) was changed from the original story, being earned in Sphghetti Junction by staying true to her promise to Sora in the face of heavy adversity.

* AdaptationalSexuality: Yolei is depicted as fairly hormonal teenager and there is a tendency for scenes to [[FadeToBlack end when things get a little heated.]]

* DoorStopper: At more than 900,000 words, it is the fourth-longest Digimon fanfiction on fanfiction.net. Currently it seems to be moving into it endgame.

* MamaBear: Jun develops an adoring love for Demiveemon, believing him to be an adorable doll, and takes every opportunity to liberate him from Davis. [[spoiler: Contrary to Davis' concerns, her love for him actually increases when she discovers he's a living creature, referring to him as her "baby." She grows horrified and angry when he returns home visibly injured after the fight against Jachomon, demanding to know what the Digidestined did to him.]]
