** The androids that exist in ''Sword Art Online: Special Edition'', ''Reflection Code'', and ''Digimon Re: Adventure'' are essentially higher grade, mass produced versions of androids such as [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Actroid Actroids]] that already exist in real-life, minus the much more advanced AI and more human-like capabilities.
** Ruki's soda addiction being akin to a GRatedDrug complete with mentions of withdrawal and all that entails with what would normally follow someone who is TheAlcoholic, but considering Ruki is only 17 at the start of the fic, actual alcohol was off-limits, so soda was used in it's place. While normally the usage of such a thing was very mundane and trivial in the eyes of the author, who simply depicted this as due to having experienced withdrawal-esque reaction to a lack of soda and his overall addiction to Mountain Dew, apparently some of the author's friends didn't realized that experiencing an addiction or especially a withdrawal from soda was even possible, leading to the author having to explain it from past experience on his own behalf, and thus leading this example to becoming this trope.

** Zenithians are weak to AnAxeToGrind-type weaponry, as Zenithians have trouble keeping their bodies in one piece even with their HealingFactor, so the ability to easily sever their limbs is an advantage axes have against them, as major injuries such as these hinder their HealingFactor.

** ''Anime/OnePunchMan'': Plio's debut has him essentially [[CurbStompBattle Curb-Stomping]] Father with a single, well placed punch that sends him into the sky due to the sheer BystanderSyndrome he has due to being part of a scenario of AwakeningTheSleepingGiant. Not only is Ultimoria classified as a {{Dystopia}} ''at best'', but it barely even qualifies as that considering '''no civilization even exists in Ultimoria's Multiverse anymore'''. Because of the rampant free reign the Ultimorian Deities and the Primordial Deities had on the Ultimorian Multiverse, their own home turf, it's reduced to a husk of its former self by being a PostApocalyptic DeathWorld in which the various powerful life-forms and entities have long since destroyed all hope in this world, or long since tarnished whatever could be salvaged and left it to rot alongside fauna that had evolved to cope with the extreme conditions presented in the Ultimorian Multiverse. Effectively an overglorified wilderness of a multiverse, Ultimoria is the living definition of a CrapsackWorld if there ever is one. It gets so bad in terms of simply traveling there that the Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo and Lunala are one of the few powerful entities still capable of safely traversing this world, alongside any riders or passengers that need to come here for whatever godforsaken reason they have.]]

** {{Invoked}} with Chapter 11 for a few chapters in ''Digimon Re: Tamers''; Henry deduces from what he has observed and been informed of that constantly being on the move has made it too easy for them to be ambushed by Enric's mob, making it all the more difficult to track down Rumiko's BastardBoyfriend. As a direct result, whether they like the idea or not, Henry, Ryo, and Ruki come up with the idea of laying low as much as possible and trying to blend in as normal people, as they realized that doing just this had actually managed to find and surprise Rumiko's boyfriend earlier that day. As a result all of the tamers lay low with Ryo keeping Cyberdramon as Monodramon so that he can prepare to immediately spring a trap for whomever of Enric's pack they catch off guard by having Monodramon go into Millenniummon and trap their target for information.

** Chapter 9 continues this by [[spoiler:implying that Darigus has much more to do with Ruki's DespairEventHorizon more so than her mother's BastardBoyfriend, the fact Ryo is freaked out by what's going on with Ruki that he crosses the GodzillaThreshold by having Monodramon go into '''Millenniummon''', and then Brondramon attempting to emerge in the real world only to fail and instead summon a fire storm and an ensuing heatwave, all the while ''immediately giving TheWorfEffect to [[OlympusMons Millenniummon]]''. Oh, and said BastardBoyfriend is beginning to use Ruki's mother ''and'' grandmother as hostages [[SadisticChoice to get Ruki to do what he wants]].]]

* BeatThemAtTheirOwnGame: What Henry, Ryo, and Ruki devise as a plan to catch Rumiko's BastardBoyfriend off-guard; they realize Enric's mob is having plenty of rest and relaxation and has the resources to continuously try and ambush the group, which is a benefit the group doesn't have; they have the resources, sure, but not the rest and relaxation aspect. They decide the next few days will be them laying low with their Digimon being restrained into their Rookie forms unless an emergency calls, in which they'll just go about their daily lives as if everything is normal to lure one of Enric's pack, if not Enric himself, into a false sense of security so that Ryo can jump them to capture them with Millenniummon, who is being kept as Monodramon with Ryo storing up D-Power to keep a trap ready to be sprung by Enric himself or his men.

** Asuna is hit with this via SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome regarding her real life self not being an ActionGirl at all, but in her avatar forms of the same name she's an Aversion of this trope.

** Johnny and Milly both end up trying to have Mirror M and Stormcloud do dog tricks. Mirror M simply walks off in annoyance, but Stormcloud seems compliant to perform... until he's asked to roll over, in which he simply raises his wings in an intimidating display and then folds them back to his side. [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome Stormcloud, as a six-limbed dragon with both robust legs and wings, lacks a feasible way to willingly get onto his back in such an otherwise simple gesture]], [[StealthInsult and so he's raising his wings in defiance to show the kids he's unable to perform that stunt.]]

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** Everyone either takes their phones out to photograph them, or every single mortal known to exist bows before the presence of a Phase 7 Ultimorian Deity; any Phase form of a Primordial Deity gets the same reaction. Not only that, they're gigantic and prone to massive amounts of collateral damages.
** Ash Ketchum's somewhat overpowered nature in ''Truth and Ideals'' is a parallel to actual players of the ''Pokémon'' games who use competitively built Pokémon teams for the main story of the game, and then [[spoiler:either keep their competence in Battle Facilities such as the Battle Subway, or the whole team suffers TheWorfEffect because of the RNG's ability to create teams in the Battle Subway which can screw you over to no end.]]
** In a horror based story, a large, bipedal humanoid monstrosity begins speaking and one of the many tropes of horror is that if it can speak, it cheapens the horror. What does the creature itself have to say about this?

The son begins to fall under SanitySlippage towards morning, in which he's desperately trying to chase down every animal he has a tag for all the while getting lost due to forgetting the map exists, even when he clearly selects it only to ignore it due to his tiredness. As he continues through the game, he enters Nanuk for the first time in a campaign mode, on Hard Mode, and he has managed to claim bears in the previous regions just fine, but by this point his ability to think is clearly showing more of his SanitySlippage; he is persistent to not fail his secondary goals even if it endangers him, he has extreme difficulty accomplishing his primary goal (polar bear) because of the difficulty settings tagged.
** [[spoiler:Why Chronicler gets off with only minimal scolding at best for his actions in the first arc of ''Sword Art Online: Special Edition''; he's completely innocent, because it's the ''[[ExactWords other]]'' Chronicler who is the actual guilty one here, in which Takato Ryusei gets struck down by Ultima for his crimes, whereas Damion Eriksen ends up taking counselling from his old man to recover from the MindRape he had to endure from two differing parties, as well as attending school with Suguha to help further his recovery.]]
** [[spoiler:Grandis meanwhile gets scolded big time despite his AuthorAvatar nature because even though he has an excuse for his behavior, it's not a justification for it at the same time.]]
** The reason why ''Sword Art Online: Special Edition'' opts to use the [=MaterialEye=] instead of the canon VR headsets? VR still requires the person to be awake, meaning the situations as seen in the canon series are flat out impossible in real-life, since in the canon they were basically sleeping. The death game is impossible to pull off, thus that's AdaptedOut. As players are also likewise fully awake, Death Gun [[ExactWords cannot exist in his original context.]]

* LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters: To the point not even separating characters into their own separate multiverses based on their franchise were enough to prevent [[Characters/CitadelOfTheHeartChronicler Chronicler]], [[Characters/CitadelOfTheHeartGrandis Grandis]], and [[Characters/CitadelOfTheHeartNecrozma Necrozma]] thus far from getting their own pages.

* PantyShot:
** Always in-universe with certain characters. A prominent example occurs between Jeri and Takato, after trying to fix a mistake with mixing wet ingredients in a small bowl while baking with Takato, ends up tripping on some previously spilt milk and knocking Takato down to the floor with her, which ends up with Jeri's rear facing up and Takato getting up and getting a good view of Jeri's panties. As he blushes immensely, Jeri gets up and quickly realizes Takato got a peek which causes her to be embarrassed, only to further add to the awkwardness when the two realize Takato got aroused by what he had seen. The two decide to quickly try and change the subject out of embarrassment.
** The trope in general never gets played straight in this continuity, and is always doubled as ComedicUnderwearExposure.
