Based on a scorpionfish, Finnorpion is a Water/Poison-type Pokémon. Having a vicious temperament, it uses its claw-like fins in order to slash at prey it comes across, using its poison-tipped tailfin to lethally poison them. Against larger opponents, such as Golisopod and Gyarados, it uses stealthy tactics in order to immobilize them with poison before they can strike back.
----
* ActionInitiative: It learns the Water-type priority move Aqua Jet.
* BarrierChangeBoss: Finnorpion learns Camouflage, which changes its type depending on the environment.
* BewareMyStingerTail: A variation, as Finnorpion has a tailfin that acts like a scorpion's tail. Befitting this, it starts off with Poison Sting, learns Fell Stinger, and gets Poison Tail as an Egg Move.
* ConfusionFu: Finnorpion can know damaging Water-, Poison-, Bug-, Dark-, Ice-, Chemical-, Ghost-, Fighting-, Rock-, Ground-, Steel-, Flying-, Grass-, and Normal-type moves.
* CriticalHit: Finnorpion learns three such attacks that have a high chance for a critical hit; the Dark-type Night Slash, the Water-type Aqua Cross, and the Poison-type Cross Poison.
* DavidVersusGoliath: Finnorpion is able to take down targets much larger than itself such as Golisopod and Gyarados through use of sneaky tactics.
* HollywoodAcid: Finnorpion gets Chemical Missile, a Poison-type move that after doing damage causes acid rain to fall for five turns, by LevelUp.
* LightningBruiser: Finnorpion is a borderline case, with great Attack and Speed and above average Defense. Tough Claws as its ability ups the power of most of its physical moves even further.
* MagicallyIneptFighter: While Finnorpion's Attack stat is 105, its Special Attack is only a little more than half of that at only 55.
* MakingASplash: It's a Water-type Pokémon.
* PoisonousPerson: Finnorpion is Poison-type.
* ScaryScorpions: An interesting variation. While actually a scorpion''fish'', Finnorpion's design, mainly with its side fins resembling claws and its tailfin resembling a scorpion's tail, makes it look like an actual scorpion. Since it lives in the sea, it's also effectively a ''sea scorpion''.
* SpikeShooter: It learns Pin Missile and can know Icicle Spear by TM.
* StatusBuffDispel: Finnorpion gets Haze, which resets stat changes, as an Egg Move.
* VersionExclusiveContent: Finnorpion is exclusive to ''Pokémon Aquamarine''.
* WeakToMagic: Its Special Defense stat is only 55, meaning special attacks will do a ton of damage to it.
