Films produced by Summit make their cable premiere on Creator/{{HBO}} through the end of the 2021 slate; films released in 2022 and beyond will premiere on Summit's corporate sibling Creator/{{Starz}}.

In 2012, the company was purchased by Creator/{{Lionsgate}} in a deal worth $412.5 million. Since the acquisition, Lionsgate continues to operate Summit as a label.
