During the 2016 US Presidential election, though, this got lifted somewhat thanks to the controversy surrounding Donald Trump, and after Trump ''won'' the election, the rule was completely cast out, to the point Gus himself encouraged talking about it. When Brandon commented on this in a podcast, Gus simply declared that such a rule was pointless now and thinks the current political climate ''needs'' to be commented on. Since 2016, people on the podcast have commented on political and current events, especially during 2020 and 2021, when the COVID-19 pandemic forced the company to work from home and the Texas freeze that forced them offline for days.

It initially starred Miles Luna and Kyle Taylor, but due to Miles's busy schedule with ''RWBY'' and ''Camp Camp'' in 2018, he was replaced by Cole Gallian and Sam Mitchell.
