* FormerlyFat: He's no longer the FatComicRelief he was on SNL.
* LatinoIsBrown: Averted, which made him very versatile on SNL; he obviously had no trouble doing Latino characters/impressions but was light-skinned enough to play white guys too.

Horatio Sanz was a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1998 to 2006, making him the longest-running Latino cast member (until Creator/FredArmisenwho, like Sanz, has family heritage in a South American country. Armisen is Venezuelan on his mother's side beat him by staying on the show from 2002 to 2013). Sanz is also one in a handful of cast membersjoining Tony Rosato, Pamela Stephenson, Morwenna Banks, Nasim Pedrad, Sasheer Zamata, and Bowen Yang who wasn't born in the United States or Canada. Sanz is also the only Latino Weekend Update anchor (he subbed for Creator/TinaFey for a few episodes when Fey was put on maternity leave at the beginning of season 31) and his pairing with Creator/AmyPoehler (who was also a Weekend Update anchor) is the first time a Weekend Update anchor pairing was interracial (though that footnote in Weekend Update's history is so forgettable that no one but the die-hard fans will know that and mistakenly believe that Creator/ColinJost and Creator/MichaelChe were the first interracial Weekend Update anchors, since the Jost and Che pairing is more obviously interracial than Poehler and Sanz).

On Saturday Night Live, Sanz was almost always paired with Creator/JimmyFallon, which, sometimes, led to a lot of nasty cases of Corpsing cracking up on camera, especially during the post-Will Ferrell/pre-Bill Hader/Andy Samberg/Kristen Wiig/Jason Sudeikis years (that's from season 28 to season 30).
