High Moon Studios is a video game developer that was formed in 2001 as Sammy Studios (formerly Sammy Entertainment, Inc. until 2003), the American division of Sammy Corporation. In 2005, after its parent company merged with Creator/{{Sega}} and exited the video game business, president and CEO John Rowe bought back the company; after this, it was renamed to its current moniker and became an independent developer, debuting with the release of ''VideoGame/{{Darkwatch}}'' on Platform/{{Xbox}} and Platform/PlayStation2. The company later became a part of Creator/VivendiUniversalGames and is now a development studio for Creator/{{Activision}}, with three different ''Franchise/{{Transformers}}'' games under its belt.
