** If there was a DrinkingGame dedicated to how many times he promised to stop apologizing or overworking himself but kept doing so, hospital visits would go way up.
** Starting around 2013 or so, he seemed to have difficulty with his "like what you like/every movie is a little miracle" belief, mostly because of his dislike for Creator/MichaelBay and partly because he wants to piss the fandom off with ''Film/TheDarkKnightRises''/''Film/ManOfSteel'' hate.

** AmbiguouslyBi: He's married to his lady love, but his lack of gender preference when being TheTease is regularly brought up by other site members.

* DisabledMeansHelpless: In the ''Film/{{Les Miserables|2012}}'' commentary, he complains that he's going to have to do another musical review because a girl in a wheelchair at [=ConBravo=] (who was also having her birthday) asked him to and he knew he'd get treated like an asshole by the rest of the audience if he said no. The review in question was ''Film/MammaMia'' and he complained in a Zenkaikon 2015 interview that he really didn't want to do it.

* ExtremeDoormat:
** Has a... reputation for it, and will readily admit it. For one example, at Connecticon a girl asked him if he could sign her friend's cleavage. He said no because private parts were the only things he didn't sign, but after a bit of pouting and refusing anything else, his spine crumbled and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zx7Kw8K-jL8&t=7m17s did it anyway]].
** Despite Holly's protests, he's the only one who ''lets'' people steal his work and income by uploading everything he does on Website/YouTube because he thought it would be mean-spirited to complain. Nobody else (Linkara, Todd, Phelous, Lindsay etc.) has this viewpoint and refuse "can I put your videos up on YT" every time.
** He spends a lot of time in the "King And I" review trashing people complaining about his white wall, but changing it to blue soon after anyway.
** He even apologizes for being more talkative than normal in "Conquest of Cuteness", and Jason has to tell him that it's okay.
** [[https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=634421639961942&id=119355004801944 Even Rob complains about it]]:
--->'''Rob:''' Well, I'd like to say I made Doug fold like a lawn chair in today's Sibling Rivalry... but the truth is he already came prefolded. After gearing up for a real showdown, he starts by saying he's had time to think about it and liked [the 2014 Godzilla movie] more. To quote Captain Hook: "I WANT MY WAR!!!" Little bastard cheated me.
** In an Uncle Yo interview, the two start talking about how Doug once (although Doug getting scared by people hitting on him has apparently happened a fair amount) had two women buying him drinks, and because Doug was panicking "what do I do I don't know what to do with this!", Yo had to say "no" to the women's offer ''for'' him.
** Lighter example, but in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aeqhw6brkgQ this 2012 panel]], Rob's the one who complains about Michaud giving them blunt orders (like for Ask That Guy and anniversaries), Doug defends because he likes taking said orders.
** At his 2013 Connecticon panel, he said no to a girl's request of could he get on all fours and lick a sugarcube out of her hand, but she kept asking and he did it, at least lampshading afterwards that she could have drugged him.
** After Lupa was fired from the site, JO [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=zxqry1vjj55quafibj0zrk3n&page=1141#28517 called Doug out]] [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=zxqry1vjj55quafibj0zrk3n&page=1143#28560 on being too passive]]. [[Administrivia/RuleOfCautiousEditingJudgement And that's all we'll say.]]

* FanHater:[[invoked]] Admitted in the ''TMNT/Transformers: Age of Extinction'' reviews, to Michael Bay fans. He talks to them like they're manipulated children who have to grow up and let Bay fade, and want nothing but explosions and to feel good about their dicks. He at least realizes after rants about this that it's mean spirited to both Bay and his audience.
** In ''Film/TheCatInTheHat'' real review, Doug has a rant about people liking ''Film/HowTheGrinchStoleChristmas'' (despite the moral of that episode) which Rob claps him for, and neither of them want to meet someone who likes the former film.
** While he keeps trying the "if you like it fine" mantra in the real review, the ''Film/AliceInWonderland2010'' review was another one he did because he was so pissed off at people supporting it and thinking he was weird for not.
** He's not particularly fond of Pokemon fans, as he explains in the real thoughts that he digs at the franchise cos they sure do like threatening him, but he's also talked about how ''Pokemon Go'' is a really good thing and tried to make peace in ''Jem''.

* {{Fetish}}: [[invoked]]According to WebVideo/FilmBrain, Doug "lives for this stuff". And in the real review for ''Film/BatmanAndRobin'', Doug says that all four 90s Batman films are fetish porn, even the first one for The Joker.
