* Posthumously, Ada Clover from ''VideoGame/BlazBlue'', whom her little brother Carl described to be so kind, caring and compassionate that he seriously adored her. Obviously, when she had her soul plucked out by their father Relius (callously, no less) into the Nox Nyctores Nirvana, Carl swears revenge and eternal hatred to Relius.
** Also from the same game, and playable one, Litchi Faye-Ling generally acts as a big sister figure to many of the younger ones, with her teaching Taokaka the ropes, generally humors with Noel when they meet and Noel certainly appreciates her (... or [[ACupAngst being jealous at her boobies]]), and she was exceptionally kind and caring to the aforementioned Carl that she secretly wants a little brother like him, and Carl adores her so much that he sees parts of his sister residing on her. [[spoiler:This could be either a subversion or a double subversion, the former because Litchi's Cool Big Sis attitude hides her massive emotional baggage about her grief and guilt about losing her friend and her taking on an ImpossibleTask to FindTheCure, to the point of being forced to join the main bad guys and never telling anyone else her problem, thus damaging her Cool Big Sis credentials (Noel was particularly devastated when she learns her new allegiance and actions, though Carl decides to try and help her). * ''VideoGame/GalaxyAngel'': Forte Stollen, as the oldest member of the Moon Angel Wing and their flight leader, acts as an older sister/mentor figure to them. It actually causes her a considerable degree of consternation on her route in Moonlit Lovers when [[SixthRanger Chitose]] takes it a little too far and starts addressing her as "OneeSama". It also extends to the ''VideoGame/GalaxyAngelII'' trilogy, where [[FieryRedhead Anise]] takes to view Forte as a "big sis".
** While [[RoseHairedSweetie Milfeulle]] does not fulfill this role among her team members, she is the singular older sister to her younger sibling, Apricot, [[BigSisterWorship who absolutely adores her]].

** The arcade version of ''Super VideoGame/StreetFighterIV'' portrays [[VideoGame/StreetFighterII Chun-Li]] in this light towards [[VideoGame/StreetFighterIII Yun and Yang Lee]]. It should be noted that given the connections between [[VideoGame/StreetFighter1 Gen, Lee,]] Chun-Li's father, Chun-Li, and the Lee Bros. and the likening of a martial arts instructor/master to that of a father figure, Chun-Li is more or less their ''actual'' martial arts "big sister".

* Bleu/Deis from the ''Franchise/BreathOfFire'' series is somewhat of a Cool Big Sis to the party, most notably in ''VideoGame/BreathOfFireIII'' and ''VideoGame/BreathOfFireIV''. She guides and gives hints to Ryu and his party, and is definitely the most... erm... endowed woman in the party. Interestingly enough, Ryu ''does'' express romantic interest in her (pretty much the most you'll ever see him express towards anyone, considering he's a SilentProtagonist) in 3, sort of culminating in a [[PrecociousCrush little kiddy crush]]. Probably has to do with how he saw her [[{{Gainaxing}} full front]], [[NakedOnArrival completely naked and up close]].

*** A female Avatar has this kind of relationship with her younger sisters Elise and Sakura, who care deeply for the Avatar and are the least willing to fight her if she ends up on the opposing side. Her relationships with her younger brothers Leo and Takumi are a bit more strained because of the latter pair's insecurity and jealousy, but they do nevertheless care for their brothers.

In her second ending, she wins the prize money she needs for her brother's treatment and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LCvRng9iPw he makes a full recovery.]]
** Whereas Yuka is Tamao's role model, so she [[SpiritedCompetitor strives to become just like her.]] Tamao affectionately refers to Yuka as, "sempai" and joined the tournament [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21x4eowrKkk for the chance to finally meet her.]]
* From ''VideoGame/AgarestSenki 2'', Fiona sees the {{Love Interest}}s from the first generation this way. She thinks the world of them and wants to be as good a healer as [[ShrinkingViolet Aina]] and says she's a great teacher, thinks [[BarefistedMonk Felenne]] is an awesome badass and squees at the fact that [[RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething Victoria]] is both a princess and a warrior. She even states she wants to grow up to be like them.
* This is one of the new villager personality types in ''VideoGame/AnimalCrossingNewLeaf'', officially referred to as "Uchi"[[note]]"big sister"[[/note]]. Uchi villagers are blunt and tomboyish, but are also very protective of characters they've befriended. They'll even give you medicine if you get stung by bees!
* You can play this in ''Franchise/BaldursGate'' to Imeon, particularly in [[VideoGame/BaldursGateII the second game]], but to an extent in [[VideoGame/BaldursGate the first one]]. The second game adds Aerie who basically thinks you're the best thing ever.
* In ''VideoGame/BattleFantasia'', another game by Arc Systems, Marco Van De Land considers Princess Olivia like a big sister. The feeling seems to be mutual, as Olivia will gladly join in Marco's games. This stems from the fact that Olivia and Urs (Marco's older brother) have known each other since they've been very young.
The double-subversion is that regardless of the baggage, the caring, sisterly attitude was truly genuine on Litchi's part if the situation was not that severe.]]
* Bleu/Deis from the ''Franchise/BreathOfFire'' series is somewhat of a Cool Big Sis to the party, most notably in ''VideoGame/BreathOfFireIII'' and ''VideoGame/BreathOfFireIV''.
* ''VideoGame/ChronoTrigger'' gives us Schala, who fulfills the role for her younger brother, but is otherwise too kind and empathetic to actually stand up for herself. In the sequel, it is implied that Lucca acted as this to Kid, to much greater effect.
* ''VideoGame/CrashBandicoot'' probably isn't [[IdiotHero the first person you'd expect]] [[CloudCuckooLander to be big brother material]], but the guy has saved the day numerous times over and is literate with countless forms of combat, weaponry and transportation, all of which is only concentrated when it involves his baby sister Coco. Crash follows her every command and desire, and when the villains target her, [[BerserkButton he becomes a very different person]].
* ''Franchise/DragonAge'':
** Regardless of which one is actually older, a female Warden in ''VideoGame/DragonAgeOrigins'' can have this sort of dynamic with Morrigan, or with a non-romanced Leliana, Zevran, and/or Alistair.
** Isabela acts like this towards Merrill and Bethany in ''VideoGame/DragonAgeII'', especially the former. Whenever Fenris or Anders would be ragging on Merrill for her use of BloodMagic, Isabela just tries to comfort her and asks if it's what she really wants. Party banter between them involves offering to teach Merrill about body-shots and trying to get Bethany a night at the local brothel. If the PC romances Merrill, Isabela gives him/her the IfYouEverDoAnythingToHurtHer speech, threatening a male PC with ''castration''.
*** If Hawke is female, this is implied to be her relationship with Bethany. If Hawke is a mage (and Bethany therefore dies in the prologue), Bethany's character information states that she idolized her big sister. If Bethany survives the prologue, most dialogue options between the sisters reinforce the idea that this is their relationship.
*** Bethany herself gets a turn at being a Cool Big Sis if she survives the prologue and is later [[spoiler:sent to the Circle]]. A letter she writes to her sibling says that she's teaching younger mages, and one of them in particular looks up to her in this manner.
** ''VideoGame/DragonAgeInquisition'' makes Leliana perhaps the coolest version of this trope in Thedas towards Josephine, whom she considers one of her few true friends. This can actually cause problems where her methods of protecting the pacifist Josephine are violence, not to mention scare off anyone interested romantically. To Leliana, upsetting Josephine is well worth the price if it keeps her from getting hurt.
*** A female Inquisitor who maxes out Cassandra's friendship can have a relationship with her in which Cass basically takes this role. Cass is canonically in her late thirties or early forties, making her an ideal older sister figure for the potentially younger Inquisitor.
* In ''VideoGame/{{Drakan}}'', Rynn has this in ''spades'' with her younger brother Delon. She also appears to have had PromotionToParent seeing as their parents are never seen or mentioned. This is a sister that was willing to awaken a dragon and [[BondCreatures bond]] [[{{Synchronization}} with]] him to save her brother. [[spoiler:Sadly, though, it doesn't work out in the end, and Delon dies]].
* Arashi of ''VideoGame/EnsembleStars'' styles herself as this, often referring to herself as 'neechan', particularly when it comes to Mitsuru, her junior in the track and field club.
* In ''VideoGame/FarnhamFables'', we have Winona Edison and her older sister Wendy, who love each other very much. In Episode 2, when Winona suffers a bout of depression, Wendy comes to cheer her up by painting her nails while listening to her talk about her day.
* In ''VideoGame/FatalFury: Mark of the Wolves'', Mai Shiranui is said to be this to Hokutomaru, who refers to her "Mai-neechan" ("Big Sis Mai").
* ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyX'': Mid-way through the story, Rikku seems to view Lulu this way; Yuna is implied to have had a more [[ParentalSubstitute mother-daughter]] relationship with her instead.
* ''VideoGame/FireEmblem'':
** Annand/Mahnya from ''VideoGame/FireEmblemGenealogyOfTheHolyWar'' is regarded as this by her sister Erinys/Ferry.
** Lyn from ''VideoGame/FireEmblemTheBlazingBlade'', especially to Florina ([[LesYay if not more]]), Nils and Ninian [[spoiler:(even when they're technically ''much'' older than she is, though to be fair we don't learn that until almost the end of the game]].
** Cecilia from ''VideoGame/FireEmblemTheBindingBlade'' is something between this and TheMentor for Roy and Lilina, being the one who taught them how to fight.
** ''VideoGame/FireEmblemTheSacredStones'': In support conversations, Tana outright admits that she sees Syrene as this. Syrene's actual sister, Vanessa, seems to look up to her a lot, too.
** Lucina comes off as this towards the other [[spoiler:future children]] in ''VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening'', especially towards Cynthia. Sumia seems to view Cordelia as this as well, though the two are roughly the same age.
** Camilla from ''VideoGame/FireEmblemFates'' comes off this way towards her Nohrian siblings, ''especially'' in Elise's eyes (who idolizes her enough that she put purple highlights in her hair to match Camilla). Scarlet also has some Cool Big Sis vibes with Corrin in their supports and ''Revelation'' interactions, though to a lesser degree than Camilla.
*** Subverted by Hinoka: she loves her younger siblings a lot and that's ''not'' for discussion, but she became so focused on training and getting ready to rescue the Avatar that [[AloofBigSister she heavily neglected Takumi and Sakura's emotional needs]] and her supports with them [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone are all about her realizing it]]. i.e, in her supports with Takumi she's horrified when he tells her that he thinks she and the others be better off without him, and she has to pretty much yell at him that his death would break her. Plus she had no idea about Sakura's glaring self-esteem problems and, when Sakura explains herself, is genuinely stunned and then explains [[NotSoDifferentRemark that they're not so different]].
** Sylvain of ''VideoGame/FireEmblemThreeHouses'' often fills in this role for his classmates, as he's the second oldest member of his House and the oldest of his childhood friends. He tends to be someone younger characters go to for advice thanks to how easygoing he is, and despite his womanising he's quite intelligent and insightful on various topics.
* Teased with ''VideoGame/GrandiaIII''. Everything you've seen indicates Miranda is a Cool Big Sis, until it's revealed she's a mother. Her personality, however, fits this trope.
* ''VideoGame/TheKingOfFighters'' has two example between [[VideoGame/ArtOfFighting King]] and Chizuru Kagura.
** Many of the younger female fighters admire [[{{bifauxnen}} King]] [[CulturedBadass for her style]] [[LadyofWar and sophistication]], which is why she usually serves as the captain of the [[AmazonBrigade All Womens Team.]] [[GenkiGirl Yuri]], in particular, wants to make it official, [[ShipperOnDeck by encouraging King to hook up with her older brother, Ryo.]]
** Chizuru fills this role where Shingo, Yuki, Kyo and Iori are concerned, albeit begrudgingly in the latter's case. Kyo even mentions how [[TeamMom she always seems to look after them]], during one of his conversations with [[VideoGame/FatalFury Terry Bogard]] in the ''Sky Stage'' games. She's also the only one King has ''ever'' deferred leadership of the All Womens Team to, implying she may regard Chizuru this way as well.
* A female PlayerCharacter can be this to Mission Vao in ''VideoGame/KnightsOfTheOldRepublic''.
* In ''Franchise/MassEffect'' a female [[PlayerCharacter Shepard]] can be this to [[WrenchWench Tali]] to the point where in the second game she seems to have something of a [[EvenTheGirlsWantHer crush]] on the Commander. She's also something like this to [[CowboyCop Garrus]] during the first game. Shepard's role as the team's LivingEmotionalCrutch does seem to put him/her in this position a lot.
* ''VideoGame/MassEffectAndromeda'' brings us Sidera and Vetra Nyx who have this relationship. Vetra is very much the [[MamaBear Surrogate Mama Bear]] and extremely protective of Sidera. She is occasionally frustrated from raising her. Sid admires the hell out of Vetra to the point that she [[spoiler:uses Vetra's identity to do random good deeds)]]. During Vetra's loyalty mission, their relationship matures a bit, with Vetra realizing Sidera may be a bit green, but she can't be sheltered forever. Vetra becomes more of a mentor and fits this trope better. Of course, neither look it, as both are [[https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/8c/ba/0b/8cba0be12486b2cbc9fcf539efafe67b.png turians]].
** Ryder can be this if you play the female twin.
* Nathyrra plays this role to a female PlayerCharacter in ''VideoGame/NeverwinterNights: Hordes of the Underdark''.
* In ''VideoGame/NieR'', [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold Kaine]] plays this role to [[TheWoobie Emil]], in that she can relate to the idea of having a part of their body that makes them hated (Emil has {{Magical Eye}}s while Kaine is a {{Hermaphrodite}} possessed by a Shade) and tells him to never be ashamed of himself for what he is.
* [[TheHero Rosalyn]] from ''VideoGame/OkageShadowKing'' is this to [[SupportingProtagonist Ari]], his little sister Annie, and possibly [[TheDitz Linda]]. If you're not one of these people, chances are if you're part of the rest of the group, she's going to be short-tempered with you.
* ''Franchise/{{Persona}}'':
** A particularly notable example can be found in ''VideoGame/Persona2: Innocent Sin'' with Maya Amano, a young woman who's very much this to the teenage party members. In fact, she's such a Cool Big Sis that in the past, the four younger kids she played with [[spoiler:locked her in a shrine (with the exception of one of them, who was locked in with her) so she wouldn't have to move away. Of course, the shrine catches on fire and they [[NeverFoundTheBody think they've killed her]].]]
** The female protagonist in ''VideoGame/Persona3 Portable'' becomes this to Maiko and a non-romanced Ken, as you progress in their respective social links. She can even tell the former near the end of their social link that even though they'll be separated from each other, they'll still be sisters forever.
* Mia Fey from ''VisualNovel/PhoenixWrightAceAttorney'' to her sister Maya but also to Phoenix.
** Being level-headed, mature and clever she is always there to help and guide them [[spoiler:even after her death]]
** The younger version of Mia in ''Trials and Tribulations'' has similar motions like Phoenix which shows the strong influence she has on her protegé
** Also Lana Skye to Ema Skye - in fact Mia and Lana bear many similarities. Both are highly capable and have younger sisters who have helped Phoenix in his cases and both wear scarves tied around their neck in a similar fashion.
* Claire Redfield from ''Franchise/ResidentEvil'' has the best track record of this e.g Sherry in [[VideoGame/ResidentEvil2 RE2]], Rani in ''Anime/ResidentEvilDegeneration'' (overlaps with MamaBear) and Moira Burton in ''VideoGame/ResidentEvilRevelations2''.
* In ''VideoGame/{{Roommates}}'', [[CuteBookworm Anne]]'s relationship with both [[GranolaGirl Sally]] and [[HardDrinkingPartyGirl Isabella]] has shades of this at first, as she's the [[ShrinkingViolet shy]] CountryMouse and both of them have a little more life experience than her.
* In ''VideoGame/SamuraiWarriors 4'', Lady Hayakawa is this for to the youngsters of the Hojo clan, but it is more obvious with Saburo when he is sent as a hostage to the Uesugi clan, she says she will always help him if necessary and orders Fuuma Kotaro to watch over her.
* ''VideoGame/SoulCalibur'': [[{{Tomboy}} Seong Mina]] is Yun Seong's "big sister" figure and [[SexyMentor his mentor]] between parts ''II and IV'', where she takes it upon herself to stop him from pursuing Soul Edge, before it's too late. But, since he won't listen to her, she's decided to [[ToughLove knock some sense into him]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MzaVxopQEw march him straight back to her father's dojo.]]
** In ''[[VideoGame/SoulSeries Soul Calibur V]]'' Ivy was viewed either this way or as a surrogate mother by the younger warriors who were introduced in that game.
* Comes up in with a couple of classes in ''VideoGame/StarWarsTheOldRepublic''. The bounty hunter to PlayfulHacker Mako and the Sith Warrior to TheGunslinger Vette (who also happens to be an Expy of Mission). With The Warrior you can even say she's like a little sister when you meet up with her old friends.
* In the ''Franchise/StreetFighter'' 'verse there are two:
** The arcade version of ''Super VideoGame/StreetFighterIV'' portrays [[VideoGame/StreetFighterII Chun-Li]] in this light towards [[VideoGame/StreetFighterIII Yun and Yang Lee]]. It should be noted that given the connections between [[VideoGame/StreetFighter1 Gen, Lee,]] Chun-Li's father, Chun-Li, and the Lee Bros. and the likening of a martial arts instructor/master to that of a father figure, Chun-Li is more or less their ''actual'' martial arts "big sister".
*** Chun-Li technically plays this straight with Cammy as she’s one person the stoic Delta Red agent confides in when she needs advice as seen in the [=SFV=] story mode.
** [[VideoGame/StreetFighterII Cammy]] can also be seen as this towards her fellow [[VideoGame/StreetFighterAlpha Dolls]]. Particularly, ''SSFIV'' has Cammy attempting to go all [[MamaBear Sister Cub]] on newcomer Juri for savagely attacking and hospitalizing them, not to mention looking after a recovering Juni in her ending. [[spoiler:And in ''Ultra'', she's willing ''even to return to Bison's side'' if this means she can save the life of Decapre, the Doll that's actually her ''clone'' and the one who's been more physically/mentally/emotionally damaged.]]
*** Hell in [[VideoGame/StreetFighterV SV5]] Cammy even breaks the law and sides with Juri to protect Decapre, and goes apeshit on Vega when he threatens the Dolls.
** Laura is a one sided case as while she ''adores'' her little brother Sean and shows a lot physical affection to him in their interactions, Sean himself can’t stand Laura coddling and wrestling him.
* ''VideoGame/{{Suikoden}}'':
** ''VideoGame/SuikodenII'': Nanami is Riou's adoptive older sister and sworn protector, but she also takes it upon herself to look after Jowy, and Pilika after she's left traumatized by the slaughter of her family and village. Jowy even [[ParentalSubstitute entrusts Nanami to continue to look after Pilika]] when he defects to the Highland Army. In that sense, she's doubles as the TeamMom.
** ''VideoGame/SuikodenV'': Princess Lymsleia has absolute faith in her personal bodyguard, [[TheGadfly Miakis]], and [[LikeBrotherAndSister cares for her greatly.]] And for all her shenanigans, Miakis thinks of Lym as though she were her kid sister. In the end, the game's epilogue states that (quote): [[LampshadeHanging "they remained as close as loving sisters."]]
* [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsCompact2 Excellen Browning]] of ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars'' is perpetually cheerful, friends with everybody (especially [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsAdvance Lamia Loveless]] and [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsCompact2 Einst Alfimi]]) and an unabashed MsFanservice. In fact, Excellen plays on this trope by having Lamia address her as "Ex-oneesama" when they first meet.
** Likewise, [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGeneration Ouka Nagisa]] of The School Children is the eldest and addressed by Arado Balanga, Seolla Schweizer and Latooni Subota as their "sister".
** By ''Moon Dwellers'', Lamia's actual older sister [[VideoGame/EndlessFrontier Aschen Brodel]] comes into the fray and pretty much fits the bill... as in the sarcastic and occasionally hyperactive sister that sometimes tries to rope the more reserved Lamia into her shenanigans.
** In ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsX'', [[Anime/CrossAnge Ange]] ends up becoming one for both [[Anime/MashinHeroWataruSeries Wataru]] and [[Anime/NadiaTheSecretOfBlueWater Nadia]]. Interestingly [[Anime/CodeGeass Lelouch]] seem to also serve as a Cool Big Brother to Ange, as he in the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBs90XBZ6X0 very next Scenario]] after his reintroduction, helps Ange in carrying out a whole operation, to rescue her sister Sylvia. The whole startup is an awesome moment for Lelouch, as it allows the former Holy Britiannian Emperor to show some serious [[BigBrotherInstinct Big Brother Instincts]] to a fellow [[FallenPrincess Fallen Royal]], Ange, by having him really stick his neck out for the former Misurugi Princess, while everyone else were either say "good luck" or try to stop her. The very proposition stuns Ange so much that she thanks him and everyone for their support. And this is not a typical sarcastic "thank you" she gives either, but a true expression of gratitude for everyone's help.
* In ''VideoGame/TalesOfVesperia'', Judith, after warming up to her teammates, becomes one for the party. She is usually bright in tone, is very reliable, and acts supportively towards her teammates, especially Karol.
** There's also Yuri, who is generally very supportive and encouraging to his younger teammates, Karol and Patty in particular.
* In the ''[[VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesTrailsInTheSky Trails in the Sky]]'' trilogy of the ''VideoGame/TrailsSeries'', Schera serves as this to the protagonist Estelle, having been childhood friends, in charge of her bracer training, and being Estelle's [[RomanticWingman Romantic Wingwoman.]]
* Letty Whiterock of ''VideoGame/TouhouYouyoumuPerfectCherryBlossom'' is one of these for the [[TheDitz ditzy]] [[AnIcePerson ice fairy]] Cirno.
** One thing that not many people catch is that being Cool Big Sis is an implicit part of [[PerkyGoth Kagiyama Hina]]'s hat. She's a specific kind of god of misfortune, in that she covers the festival where people "put" misfortune inside paper dolls and cast them down the river. These paper dolls are known as "big sister dolls".
** After ''Undefined Flying Object'', fanworks seem to also make out Byakuren Hijiri to be half this trope and half AllLovingHero in equal helpings -- with the sis-dom particularly pointed towards [[BattleButler Shou Toramaru]] and [[EldritchAbomination Nue Houjuu]]
* Clementine is one towards AJ in ''[[VideoGame/TheWalkingDeadSeasonFour The Walking Dead: The Final Season]]''. She's both his maternal and big sister figure, and practically the only family he's ever known, so AJ looks up to Clementine and seeks her approval.
* Jane Maxwell from ''VideoGame/WildARMs1'' is this to [[spoiler: the entire orphanage she provides for. It's the main reason she sticks with the job despite her lack of idealism.]]
** Raquel Applegate from ''VideoGame/WildARMs4'' is this to Jude and Yulie. She acts as a more mature figure for Jude to look up to and she becomes incredibly worried when he undergoes a [[HeroicBSOD Heroic BSOD]] as a result of [[spoiler: his mother being killed right in front of him.]]
