* DeducingTheSecretIdentity: Nancy instantly sees through Chipmunk Hunk and Koi Boi's {{Paper Thin Disguise}}s and recognizes them as her classmates Tomas and Ken. When Squirrel Girl expresses shock, Nancy asks how could she possibly have fallen for the ruse when all the boys use to hide their identities are {{Domino Mask}}s. Plus, when your roomie is obsessed with squirrels, and then you meet a female superhero who calls herself "Squirrel Girl"? It's easy to make the connection.

* TalkingTheMonsterToDeath: Doreen's no slouch when it comes to combat, but more often then not she manages to get villains to back off simply by convincing them of better, less destructive alternatives. Heck, she saved Earth this way [[spoiler:against ''Galactus'']] of all people.

* CloningBlues: Completely averted in ''Beats Up the Marvel Universe''. Doreen and Allene both remember the exact place Doreen fell in the duplication machine, getting rid of any questions about who's the original. Allene easily switches to calling herself by their middle name and doesn't resent Doreen in the slightest. They consider themselves twins more than anything. Even after Allene goes on a mad quest to get rid of humanity to make a squirrel utopia, she still wants Doreen to work with her while Doreen still wants to turn her back around to the side of good. [[spoiler: Allene eventually does compromise, agreeing to being sent to the Negative Zone to start her utopia there after her defeat. ]]
