''Justice League of America'' is the first main ''Justice League'' ongoing series to be part of the ComicBook/DCRebirth initiative. The series was initially written by Bryan Hitch with art by Tony S. Daniel, however, they would leave the series, with Creator/{{Christopher Priest|Comics}} taking over.

Once again featuring the Big Seven; however, the ''New 52'' Superman was replaced by his pre-''ComicBook/{{Flashpoint}}'' counterpart while Hal Jordan was replaced by dual Earth Green Lanterns Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz. After ''ComicBook/SupermanReborn'' resolved Superman's situation, the ''Rebirth'' Superman returned to the League.

Audience Alienating Era is a YMMV trope.

* AudienceAlienatingEra: Bryan Hitch's run in ''Rebirth'' is another low-spot. The main complaints are that the decision to keep things strictly limited to The Seven has led the roster to feel stale, the nonsensical attempts to ship Barry Allen and Jessica Cruz (despite little interest in the pairing and Barry's own book resuming his relationship with Iris West), the general feeling of disconnection, with virtually nothing happening in the book being reflected in the rest of the DCU and that the run seemed to basically recycle one or two arcs repeatedly. It even got memetic, as whenever the run was brought up when it was still going, people would constantly ask when a new writer would get the title. While the short follow-up run by [[Creator/ChristopherPriestComics Christopher Priest]] was considered an improvement, few tears were shed when it was announced that the book would relaunched under the "New Justice" line.
* BadGuysDoTheDirtyWork: Creator/{{Christopher Priest|Comics}}'s run introduced a character called the Fan. As one of the technicians who helped build the Justice League's Watchtower HQ, the Fan had managed to spy on the team and uncover many of their secrets, leading to a situation that made it impossible to simply send him to prison. ComicBook/{{Batman}} and ComicBook/{{Aquaman}} debated what to do with him, with the latter arguing that killing him would be the only way to ensure more people didn't get hurt, while the former argued that [[ThouShallNotKill heroes never kill]]. Ultimately, they never got to finish their debate, as ComicBook/{{Deathstroke}} ended up shooting the Fan to death, thus taking care of the problem for them.

** Wonder Woman's boast in ''Justice League: Rebirth'' #1 is simple but tremendously effective:
--->'''Wonder Woman''': We're the Justice League. Run.
** Before the Leaguers went inside the Reaper, Batman said:
--->'''Batman:''' We're going to find its brain, and negotiate the terms of its surrender.
* BadFuture: ''Justice League'' has one where the Justice League have been killed off, with the kids of the current Justice League travelling back to prevent it.
* {{Bulungi}}: Creator/{{Christopher Priest|Comics}}'s run has the league crashing in this kind of country, running afoul of the Red Lion, an evil ComicBook/BlackPanther counterpart, in the process.
* TheCallKnowsWhereYouLive: In ''Justice League: Rebirth'' #1, Clark has reservations over joining the Justice League. Lois invokes the trope by saying at some point, the League will need Superman, and Clark won't be able to put off membership for long.
* ShipTease:
** Jessica Cruz With Barry Allen. In a possible future, they have three kids.
