* GeniusDitz: His OpaqueNerdGlasses are there for a reason. Despite his craziness, Ananpi is a very strategic battler, who often will use Bounce to avoid supereffective moves (as he did during Ingrid's battle against Channah). However, his tendencies of this are much more often shown when he watches an episode of ''Series/{{Pointless}}'' or ''Series/OnlyConnect'', in which cases the cloudcuckoolander will be right more often than not. This is somewhat less impressive for the former show (since it's the entire point of the game), but it is ''extremely'' so for the latter, which is a game show that is widely known for being [[NintendoHard ridiculously hard]]. According to [=Goldenheart388=], he has:

* YoungerThanHeLooks: Despite being above 18 (26 as of 2023), he can still pass for a teenager and is frequently carded when entering adults-only facilities. There is a [[DawsonCasting precedent for this]].

* EvilMeScaresMe: Merely knowing that Mimic Manipulator's not actually a distinct entity has profoundly scarred Tommy in ways he couldn't describe, and it left him in a funk that apparently lasted for a few months..

* CanadaEh: Kinda. He was cloned from a dome fossil taken from a Cambrian Lagerstätte called the Sturgess Shales, an expy of the IRL Burgess Shales in Canada. Though he was born in the 21st Century [[EagleLand in Unova]].

* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: Is the only non Ice-type member of Team Glacier.

* CompositeCharacter: Has the general personality and appearance of the [[Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse MCU incarnation of the character]] , with little nods to the comics, cartoons, and [[Film/SpiderManTrilogy Raimi]] and [[Film/TheAmazingSpiderMan later Sony]] movies. His role as a television host was derived from [=YouTuber=] Mark Rober and a nod to Doc Ock in ''WesternAnimation/SpiderManIntoTheSpiderVerse''.

An oddly colored spinarak Tommy stole/"rescued" from a Best Berry subsidiary's illegal spinarak farm who doubles as his [[AnimalSuperhero partner/sidekick]].

* ApologizesALot: He knows he can make people and other pokémon uncomfortable simply by being a spinarak and tries to allay their fears by being nice and apologetic.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: He was a genetic experiment and part of an illegal spinarak silk harvesting scheme. His genetic profile is also very valuable to [[MegaCorp the parent corporation]] of the company that made him.
* FriendlyNeighborhoodSpider: Possesses an [[HumbleHero "aw shucks"]] [[NiceGuy likeable pleasant persona]], quite similar to his trainer.

* PaletteSwap: Colored like a shiny ariados despite only being a spinarak.

* TriangleShades: Part of his superhero getup as a spinarak are triangular shades.

* WeaksauceWeakness: As a spinarak, he is lactose intolerant and pizza is a poor substitute to his regular diet. Tommy usually dissuades him from eating it.

* FriendsRentControl: In his human guise, he took a job at the Clavis Corporation that provided him with a nice rent-controlled apartment, which was nicer than anything he could afford in Castelia City on his own.

* PaletteSwap: Colored like a shiny ariados despite only being a Spinarak.
* TriangleShades: Part of his superhero getup are triangular shades.

* WeaksauceWeakness: He is lactose intolerant and pizza is a poor substitute to his regular diet.

* EvilIsPetty: When Red Delicious (i.e. the rest of him) no longer wants anything to do with being Pavo's superpowered puppet, the last thing he does is swat the latter into the window of a nearby building as he started losing his powers--in [[AdultFear full view of his family]].

* SelfDepreciation: He describes Tommy's psyche as "fucked up," which borders on hypocritical since he's the one aspect of it that fits the description like a glove.

* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: He loves telling people that their attempts to resist him are flawed and how they're all doomed, or just rubbing all their flaws and weaknesses in their faces in a pompous tone. Because he does this using the voice and face of [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness the usually pleasant]] [[NiceGuy Tommy Petersen]], this comes off as [[VocalDissonance really frightening]] to his loved ones and [[FailedAttemptAtDrama douchey and annoying]] to his opponents.

* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: He loves telling people that their attempts to resist him are flawed and how they're all doomed, or just rubbing all their flaws and weaknesses in their faces in a pompous tone. Because he does this using the voice and face of [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness the usually pleasant Tommy]] Petersen, this comes off as [[VocalDissonance really frightening]] to his loved ones and [[FailedAttemptAtDrama douchey and annoying]] to his opponents.

** He tells the Nightingale and the rest of the fighters that Pavo's power set is not something that's easily beaten, since they've been capable of weaponizing just about anyone's inner turmoil.

* MeaningfulName: A ''mimic'' who ''manipulates'' people, whether to an Amokitized Tommy to do Pavo's bidding or the Petersen-Sanchez family (to stay imprisoned "somewhere safe" against their will and better judgment)

** Unlike Edward (who resembles the "alien symbiote" and "clings close to the body" part of Venom), Mimic Manipulator is not a distinct entity but Tommy's trauma given physical form, representing the repressed side of Peter Parker brought forward.

* GenuineImposter: Mimic Manipulator is an evil entity who deceives Tommy's family and their new friends. He's also an aspect of Tommy's mind, therefore he's technically not an importer.

* GeniusDitz: Downplayed. While he's currently a lot more competent and on-the-ball, he has (and continues to have) a few moments of absent-mindedness, especially when he was younger. For instance, he accidentally called a trunk line within the Stormchaser trying to reach one of the people there and, in the ensuing confusion, gave up and hired a (likely expensive) singing telegram to send a message instead.
