It gained control of the Tenebris and some of its power, violent, but wants the rest of it, and is chasing after Eins to has a hidden soft side that end.is gradually brought out.



* TheBadGuyWins: In the Bad End, [[spoiler:it kills Eins and, despite nearly having been defeated, is presumably able to recover and continue its plot to destroy Uldra]].
* BigBad: It is the leader of the demons assaulting the Uldra continent and aims to capture Eins as part of its plan to destroy the continent and take revenge on the Seven Emperors for defeating it prior.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: The final battle appears to be between it and the duo of Ains and Eins, but afterwards [[spoiler:Rhavos]] shows up and becomes the actual final boss while [[spoiler:the Tenebris]] takes care of the Demon-God.

* TheDreaded: He is infamous for how many mercenaries and companions he's killed.
* KarmaHoudini: By the end of the game, either he has succeed in killing Dakt, or she spares him after defeating him.
* MeanCharacterNiceActor: The character of the Red-Haired Man is a psychotic mercenary who kills other mercenaries to steal their stuff. In one of the AnimatedActors bonus scenarios, his actor is a nice man who tries to help Eins' actress when she forgets her lines, and gives her words of encouragement when she fails.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Whatever his actual name is, he's only known as the Red-Haired Man or some variant.
* OpenEndedBossBattle: You have to make it to the end and pick the correct options to advance, but he can still end up killing Dakt if she doesn't have [[spoiler:the Survival Knife]], which leads to the Bad End.
* SlasherSmile: Frequently whips these out, usually when he is either about to betray and kill someone or thinking about betraying and killing someone.
* TeamKiller: He is infamous for killing his fellow mercenaries to steal their loot. In the actual game, he joins a large party of mercenaries on a mission to fight off wolves attacking the forest, and eventually goes on yet another killing spree- by the end, only a few survivors are left.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: In the Bad End, him successfully killing Dakt leads to [[spoiler:her not being around to save Eins from the Black Demon-God and being killed]], allowing the Black Demon-God to accomplish his plan and presumably bringing about the destruction of the continent.
* WakeUpCallBoss: His first battle atop the Demon Lord's Tower in -Book- marks the moment where the boss battles stop going easy on the player. He starts off fighting alongside his party and is fairly easy, but when he is down to half-health, he pulls out a series of hard-hitting attacks and is more evasive.
