One of Cassie's colleagues at Imperial Atlantic airlines, who she has a close relationship with. Though she seems somewhat stable at first, [[spoiler: she's revealed to be working with the North Koreans to sabotage the tech company her husband is working at.]]

Cassie's lawyer friend who she contacts to figure out how to deal with the Bangkok incident.

* CrusadingLawyer: Deconstructed. After Cassie tells her about what happened in Bangkok, Ani does everything she can to sort the mess out legally. Unfortunately, Cassie's poorly plotted shenanigans to find more information on Alex Sokolov make her job even more difficult, and it ultimately escalates to her nearly getting disbarred. [[spoiler: By the series end, Ani decides to quit the firm and starts drifting around to find a new job.]]
* EveryoneHasStandards: Ani deals with a lot of Cassie's erratic behavior and stupid decisions that make her job as a lawyer harder, but the event that ultimately causes her to give up on Cassie completely is when [[spoiler: she causes Max to nearly die in a car accident]]. At that point, Ani ends their friendship on the spot and forces her out of her house. [[spoiler: After Max makes a recovery and Cassie is nearly killed in Rome, they make up by the series' end.]]

* EveryoneHasStandards: While Max is willing to help Cassie by staying up all night to put pieces of paper together, he draws the line at breaking into Alex's apartment for clues. Eventually subverted when he relents and proves to be incredibly helpful.

* DrunkDriver: [[spoiler:Him downing several beers while driving with Cassie is what results in his incredibly predictable death.]]

* TooDumbToLive: [[spoiler:Hank meets his end after crashing his pickup trunk in a bout of AlcoholInducedIdiocy with his daughter. Given how terrible of a dad he was to both his kids however, it's not exactly easy to feel sorry for him.]]

* ConsummateLiar: [[spoiler: Megan is scarily competent at telling lies to her husband about why she needs his laptop and why it might be malfunctioning. It's only when she finds out that his computer now has malware on it that the mask finally slips.]]
* DarkSecret: [[spoiler: She's been working with North Korea to smuggle malware onto her husband's computer in exchange for cash.]]
* DangerousDeserter: [[spoiler: At the end of the series, she gets on a train and flees Rome to escape justice for her crimes against the U.S government.]]

* RegretfulTraitor: [[spoiler: Though she initially enjoys doing corporate espionage on behalf of North Korea at first, Megan eventually realizes how much damage she's done to her family after her husband calls her completely terrified out of his mind. Her final phone call with her son has her tearfully telling him how to get rid of the malware in his dad's computer, while telling him how much she loves him.]]

* WhatTheHellHero: Shane is not pleased to learn that Cassie dragged him to Alex's memorial service to hang out at, pointing out that the place is ''filled with grieving relatives'' that he doesn't know. He still has a fling with one of the staff workers though.

* SheIsNotMyGirlfriend: GenderInvertedExample with Max. Despite the fact that Cassie just met him for the first time showering in her house, she has the gall to claim that she and Max are not dating. Ani quickly drops this attitude a few episodes later, and especially [[spoiler: when he ends up in the hospital after getting hit by a car.]] In the second season, it becomes "he is not my fiancee," as Max has given her an engagement ring, which she wears, but insists they are not engaged. This too eventually ends up going by the wayside. In the finale of the second season, they get married.
