* ArchEnemy: To the team as a whole, though in particular, Robin and later on Terra take his slights against them personally. He also becomes one to both Beast Boy and Raven, though these are only temporary. The former two's respective stints as Slade's apprentices don't help either.

* BigBad: He's the main villain of the first two seasons and his influence plagues the team through the entirety of the series.

* WillfullyWeak: In Season 4, when Raven mops the floor with him, he doesn't fight back only because he received orders from Trigon to not harm Raven in any way. And he's clearly not happy about holding back.

* DragonWithAnAgenda: Slade only serves as Trigon's {{Dragon}} so he can return among the living. He then manipulates the Titans to take his body back, after Trigon refuses to respect their bargain.

* VillainOnLeave: Slade is the main antagonist for the first two seasons of Teen Titans, makes no appearance in the third season except as a hallucination, but returns in full force in the fourth season as the main antagonist once again and a {{Dragon}} for Trigon.

* BodyLanguage: Since his helmet lacks any facial expressions, he uses eye movements, hand gestures, and postures to communicate his intentions.
