* EverythingSoundsSexierInFrench: In Japanese, she speaks using {{Geisha}} speech patterns that make her look exotically flirtatious in the setting and fit with her Japanese-inspired design. Since this couldn't be translated into text, the English subtitles give her a French accent instead.

* AMistakeIsBorn: His crime, as symbolized by his Stain of Guilt being around his navel. It frames quite a bit of his outlook on life and the world, saying that his existence can't be a crime. And if everyone's going to treat him like a monster anyway, Vicious says that [[ThenLetMeBeEvil he may as well give the people what they want]].

* CatchPhrase: "Are you gonna own your sin, or are you gonna let it own you?" Said to the transgressors before he helps them awaken to their blood sin.

* {{Irony}}: She's a journalist who enjoys spinning stories, and is a ConsummateLiar. [[spoiler:When Penelope gets worse after the festival, Yuna attempts to put on a honest ToughLove act in order to make people hope Penelope makes it though her illness, only for someone to spin Yuna's words as her being a manipulator, leading to Yuna being labeled a transgressor. Yuna darkly lampshades this by commenting how she wasn't lying this time.]]

* SupportPartyMember: Yuna has a very defense-focused stat spread (high HP and Defense but low Attack power, even lower than Aegis, to say nothing of her Memoria Stone, which grants a considerable Evasion boost), but both of her skills lower enemy stats, one of which lowers Attack for two turns while having a two-turn cooldown, allowing her a rare case of 100% debuff uptime, while the other skill (which reduces Defense) has a longer cooldown but a much higher damage multiplier and hitcount, which allows her to contribute to combos. Her support nature is reflected in her weapon typing being Arte instead of Dagger, meaning she benefits form the heavily support oriented Memoria Stones or Awakened skills. In short, while she's no damage monster herself, she's very good at softening up enemies for her allies to kill more easily.

* PeekABangs: His bangs conceals his Stain of Guilt on his left eye.

* KansaiRegionalAccent: In the original Japanese version. As with her GratuitousFrench in the English version, she admits to faking it early on in the game, yet never drops it.

* BladeOnAStick: Aegis wields one as his blood sin, Wavering Heart.

* WhipItGood: Her daggers sprout whips that wrap around and damage her enemies.

* {{Gainaxing}}: Her Mystic Arte features a very gratuitous close-up of her chest as she shows off for the enemy. Her portraits in dialogue also show ample amounts of cleavage.

* BerserkButton: Doing anything that would ruin her image of Kanata is a big one for her. This is one of her biggest reasons for disliking Vicious, as he [[PoisonousFriend tempts and acts as a negative influence]] on Kanata. In chapter five she even comments that she should have killed Vicious earlier when Vicious suggests they steal a boat and Kanata agrees.

* PoisonousFriend: Misella is one to Kanata. Her mission in life is to keep Kanata [[LovingAShadow as her ideal version of him]]. To that end, she is willing to hurt and kill others, and she is constantly jealous and angry of how [[AntiHero Vicious]] became Kanata's friend despite his loose morals. Misella often openly threatens to kill Vicious despite Kanata's protests.

* VillainProtagonist: Vicious is ''not'' a pleasant person. He's [[AloofAlly a complete jerk even to people he's ostensibly helping]], he's known as "[[RedBaron the Great Transgressor]]", and he has a list of sins a mile long. He constantly suggests the most violent options first, and is willing to commit any number of crimes (up to and including murder) if he thinks it will make his life easier. In spite of this, Vicious can be surprisingly insightful when he wants to be, especially about the hypocrisy of the citizens who are so quick to label people as transgressors.

* BloodKnight: His maniacal expressions and unabashed declarations in combat speak of a guy who loves a good fight.[[spoiler: Turned UpToEleven when he enters his "Great Transgressor" form, where he'll even turn on Kanata and the gang for trying to get him to stop.]]

* MulticoloredHair: He has short black hair with red tips.

* TheSouthpaw: Misella's dominant hand is her left hand as evident with where her mark is located.

** Orwin's knuckles are called House Asunder [[spoiler:due to performing a Mercykill on his wife]].

* BaitAndSwitch: [[spoiler:Instead of his sin being killing his wife as one would expect, the sin that gets him branded a Trangressor is in fact having known Naya was the monster terrorizing Toshimina and yet doing nothing about it.]]

** Orwin's knuckles are called Love-Bloodied Fists [[spoiler:due to performing a Mercykill on his wife]].

* InsecureLoveInterest: [[spoiler: While he loved Naya, he always felt insecure around her because she always insisted [[YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre he was a good person]], making him feel she was too good for him. Its after he has to MercyKill her that he realizes that he was afraid of both losing her, and afraid that he wasn't good enough for her]].
