* VitriolicBestBuds: They can't stand each other, but by Season 5, they can't even bear to not hang out with each other.

* MoralityPet: To Sonic, as she's one of a few characters he doesn't treat with outright derision.

* SixthRanger: Joins Sonic's gang for a while when he was in the mafia.

* UnexplainedRecovery: [[spoiler:In Season 7, Thunderhead gets turned into a zombie. When he reappears in Season 8, he's not anymore]].

* TheTeam: It takes a while for it to be established, the main "team" is formed in the Season 2 finale consisting of:
** TheLeader: Sonic, though rarely is he actually a ''good'' leader.
** TheLancer: Tails, who frequently acts as Sonic's right-hand man.

Sonic still has Gilius and Soniqua who both serve as a brief partners for him and Kirby as tenuous MissionControl for him as his new Hollywood agent.
** Season 5 has the main team reformed, with a ''ton'' of people joining. Slippy is the [[TheDitz mentally retarded]] and [[TheLoad extremely useless]] guy. Peppy Hare, the NoRespectGuy whom almost no one listens to when it comes to missions. General Pepper, who must deal with their antics as he ''tries'' to [[MissionControl assign them new missions]]. Frank serves as a [[WeHardlyKnewYe hilariously brief]] SixthRanger of the group. Gilius, the EleventhHourRanger who spends the [[PutOnABus season absent]] and only appears in the last minutes of the season finale. Also [[MyFriendsAndZoidberg Mother Brain]].
** Season 6 has most of the gang is separated due to Sonic's time travel antics. They reform by the second-half of the plot with Knuckles joins as an EleventhHourRanger.
** Season Seven has the main gang but with Eggman and Jim eventually [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere ditching Sonic and Tails]] near the end.
