Roleplay/ReachingSalvation [[{{LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters}} is filled with many diverse and different characters]] - as such, ranging from the mysterious adults who have come to be known as the "Big Five" - a name coined by Dobi Boushi - to the wide amount of contestants battling it out for a chance to reach {{Utopia}}. The number of contestants within the Acer Tournament is never officially stated, for obvious reasons, which allows for new contestants to pop every so often as those that survive to partake another day begin to interact more with one another.

Joey is an idealistic, solid manipulator, who was {{Born Unlucky}}. Currently, his only actual friends are Erika, his girlfriend, Delmer, his teammate, and [[{{Split Personality}} Percival]]. Uses melee weapons. Percival meanwhile, is a cynical, [[{{Anti-Magic}} Flow Neutraliser]], who is mostly Joey's opposite, and voice of reason. Uses a gun. Joey has the distinction of being one of the first contestants introduced and still being alive and present in the Post Acer story line five years later in which [[spoiler: he and Erika have recently gotten married and are currently expecting a baby girl.]]
