* BigBad: All of the game's events are related in some way to Sazantos' actions of stealing the God Rings and giving them to others who he knew would use them for evil.
** He supplied Simeon and Ceraphina rings which were then gifted away (to Ceraphina herself and Tytos) causing the Master of Power and Bestower of Glory storylines.
** He caused Herminia to rise to prominence after obtaining her God Ring which in turn motivated Oscar to continue his massacres to end the disparity of wealth (in turn causing the Master of Wealth and Bestower of Wealth storylines).
** He aided both Tatrock and Pardis III in their schemes to conquer Orsterra by bestowing them rings and allowing them to accumulate power for their ambitions (causing the Master of All and Bestower of Power storylines).
** Finally, he supplied Auguste his God Ring after seeing his glory spread across the continent despite him being a psychopath. While this didn't directly cause the Master of Glory storyline to happen, it most certainly compelled it indirectly by causing Auguste to notice a fellow ringbearer (the [[TheChosenOne Chosen One]]) and causing him to devise a plot to obtain stimulation.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Throughout the game, one might be wondering how all of the ring-bearers got their rings considering they were constantly being guarded over by Sazantos and others before being stolen. As it happens, Sazantos was the one to steal the rings in the first place meaning that nobody ever got past his guard. Also, he would naturally be the person who would have the greatest opportunity to steal them seeing as he is the head guardian of the rings.

----
* ComingOfAgeStory: While not an exact coming-of-age story per se, Diego's traveler story revolves around him training to hunt a beast in order to pass into adulthood.
* ThePowerOfFriendship: While Diego never actually fought the beast on his own, he ends up passing his trial due to making friends with [[TheChosenOne the Chosen One]] and realizing that's where his true power came from.
* WrongLineOfWork: While Diego may seem like a stereotypical hunter, he's actually just a thief. Even though he literally needs to ''hunt'' beasts to pass his [[ComingOfAgeStory coming-of-age]] trial, he's still just a simple bandit. No mention of thievery even comes up in his traveler story.

----
* GoodSamaritan: Millard tends to go out of his way to help those in need. Of course, this is a result of his priestly vows to service.
* GoodShepherd: As a pious follow of Aelfric, Millard strongly believes that a priest must do what's right and holy. In turn, he has a kind spot for all through his journeys.
* HealingHands: Millard has the ability to heal every party member at once. This means he can confer his healing onto 7 other people (not including himself) at any given time.
* WhiteMage: Arguably, Millard is one of the best healers in the game bar-none due to his ability to heal every party member at once for immensely high amounts of hit points.

Already, she plies her trade in anthropology and has picked up a trait of being a bookworm. Nonetheless, her father pushes her to marry into a merchant family against her erudite wishes.
----
* AdventurerArchaeologist: With a list of spells and her knowledge as an anthropologist, Laura is practically begging to be this. Bonus points added to the fact that she's literally training to go on an archeological expedition.
* BlueBlood: Despite being a noble of the Flatlands, Laura only wishes to study and research. Her father disapproves of this wish to be a scholar and encourages her to settle down & marry for the good of the family.
* Bookworm: As can be seen, Laura fancies herself to be one. Even her sprites have books included in them. Furthermore, a good chunk of her Traveler Story revolves around searching for books.
* MakeUpOrBreakUp: When Laura finds out that [[spoiler:her fiancé, Scott, has been selling forged pottery using her signature, she tells him to stop immediately. * KryptoniteFactor: Out of L'eeto and the other two fighters who accompany her, all three are weak to wind magic.
* MadeOfIron: Despite fighting with real weapons all day, L'eeto is not weak to any other weapons. In fact, her only break damages are magical ones (those being fire, wind, and light). Furthermore, she begins the battle with a whopping 22 shields and only increases them with further breaks.
* Superboss: Alongside the other Tournament Champions, L'eeto is one.

A traveling sellsword whose wandering has led him to Sufurarusha. Aloof and distant, Wrath attempts to rid the world of its seemingly plentiful evils. That said, an underlying layer of ulterior motive may be poking through the swordsman's actions.
----
* BladeSpam: Wrath can unleash a series of five sword attacks as one ability. Not only is this much more than most travelers can attack in one turn, but it also deals absurd amounts of damage.
* ContinuityNod: Wrath's meeting with [[TheChosenOne the Chosen One]] actually takes place during [[spoiler:the time Erhardt went on the run for being a kingslayer. Of course, the story plays up his lostness in the world since, as of that moment, he had not found a reason to fight for besides ridding the world of its evil.]]
* MeaningfulRename: Obviously, with a name like ''Wrath'', you'd expect a guy to be angry at the world. ''Wrath'' is no exception.
* PaperThinDisguise: Considering how he has the exact same sprite and artwork, it's not that hard to figure out that Wrath is actually [[spoiler:Erhardt]] from the original game. This is arguably [[JustifiedTrope justified]] in that most of the recruitable travelers wouldn't know who [[spoiler:Erhardt]] is due to regional separation. But even still, a name change is a very weak disguise (if you can even call that one).
* PayEvilUntoEvil: On the more violent end of the spectrum, Wrath appears to believe that evildoers should be met with strong forces of opposition against them in response to their actions.
* SwordBeam: Wrath can unleash some as a part of his abilities.

A gentle and reserved apothecary of Amberglow who has a passion for helping others in need. While she's respected by her fellow villagers, many men have become smitten with her as of late. Unfortunately, this has caused a large number of her patients to be people who have inflicted self-injuries on themselves just to get treated by her. As a result, she tends to be quite thankful for any real friendships she establishes.
----
* ContinuityNod: Interestingly, Shelby sets out on her journey across Orsterra in order to seek out Ogen from the original game to treat Cooper's disease. However, Ogen makes no other appearances in-game besides this mention.
* ItWasAGift: Before Cooper and Shelby depart, Cooper gives her a treasured watch that had been in his family for generations.
* LoveHurts: Shelby's entire story revolves around this.
** Most of her patients are simply those who are in love with her and end up injuring themselves just for a chance encounter together.
** Shelby and Cooper's relationship is ultimately halted due to both of them separating to find a cure for Ice Breath. In the process, Shelby sets out on a perilous journey just to help out her beloved.
* TheMedic: Much of Shelby's combat abilities revolves around healing or boosting the defense of other combatants.
* SnowMeansLove: Coincidentally, Shelby's adventures into romance occur in Amberglow (which is constantly snowing due to being in the Frostlands).

----
* CastingAShadow: Interestingly, Stead can use dark magic when attacking and has no other type of magic attack besides that. That said, he still is a cleric and can use [[WhiteMagic healing magic]] too.
* WillfullyWeak: While he seems like a frail figure, Stead can go toe to toe with bandits despite not focussing on the physical aspects of life.

While motivated by his uncle's exploits as a fellow thief, Wingate has developed a strong bond with him to a point of dependency. Regardless, this stoic bandit has struck fear into the hearts of many a corrupt nobleman throughout the Flatlands.
----
* CaperRationalization: The townsfolk of Noblecourt appreciate Wingate's actions to the point where nobody even tries to bring him to justice for being a thief.
* JustLikeRobinHood: Wingate is portrayed as this in almost every way. Emulating his uncle's actions, he actively seeks out corrupt noblemen and steals from them while at the same time giving the stolen wealth to the poor.
* KarmicThief: Quintessential to his character, Wingate is only out to steal from those he believes deserves it. Surprisingly, he ends up being justified by the other townsfolk of Noblecourt for his actions since his targets are that disliked by everyone else.
* PayEvilUntoEvil: Wingate does this quite a bit. From assaulting an apothecary who's overcharging his wares to stealing from an awful nobleman of Noblecourt, Wingate's philosophy is that morally grey (if outright dark) actions are needed to discourage the actions of other evildoers.
* TakeUpMySword: [[spoiler:Interestingly [[InvertedTrope inverted]]. Wingate's uncle explicitly writes that he should not follow in his footsteps after passing away. In fact, he states that Wingate should follow his own path in his post-mortem letter.]]

A subservient man who has become the research assistant to Vernoldt upon Titus' orders. He often buts heads with Vernoldt due to his fear of Titus' wrath.
----
* BerserkButton: Don't talk about his loved ones and their safety. Especially not his [[EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas Mother]].
* EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas: Jürgen is extremely protective of his mother due to her being the only source of love still left in his life.
* {{Foil}}: Is one to Vernoldt in many ways. For one, Vernoldt is rebellious and wishes for change while Vernoldt is servient and is far too afraid to act unless ordered. Secondly, he is slightly manic when stressed while Vernoldt is more level-headed. Additionally, [[spoiler:they both react to the loss of a loved one in different ways too. [[folder:Titus - The Hero]]
[[quoteright:262:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_2021_12_23_at_93802_pm.png]]
The supposed "Hero" of Amberglow, Titus, is a cunning and ruthless man who desires power above all else. While praised by The Church of the Sacred Flame for his past service in the Knights Ardante, he still is embittered by his inability to destroy the rest of the Southern Tribes.
----
* BigFancySword: He has one.
* BrokenPedestal: While he's revered as a hero, Titus is anything but that. In fact, he's more so a [[TheDictatorship dictator]] to his people despite having [[StateSec amazing publicity]].
* FallenHero: Originally, Titus was an upstanding member of the Knights Ardante until he began to lust for power after obtaining his [[RingOfPower God Ring]].
* TheHeroDies: As stated by [[spoiler:The Church of the Sacred Flame]], Titus died a hero.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[ZigZaggingTrope Zig-Zagged & Played With]]; [[spoiler:While Titus does not sacrifice his life for another, he is instead misattributed as having sacrificed his life to kill Vernoldt. Furthermore, it's actually Vernoldt who sacrifices ''his'' life to kill Titus, not the other way around.]]
* HistoricalHeroUpgrade: [[spoiler:After he is killed, the Church of the Sacred Flame covers up his death by spreading the story that he sacrificed his life in order to fell Vernoldt, the [[MaliciousSlander "true"]] mastermind of the events in Amberglow.]]
* TheJailer: Instead of outright killing those who he catches as criminals, he imprisons them and converts them into [[TradingBarsForStripes members of the Scarlet Wings]] via terrorizing them.
* KickTheDog: Titus tends to be callously evil to others, although it's always in response to them failing at a task. This is further [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] given Titus' [[WellIntentionedExtremist practice of harshly imposing punishments to those he believes could've done better]]. [[NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist ''Even if that means killing them...'']]
* WithUsOrAgainstUs: This is the central mindset that Titus employs. If you aren't supporting him, you're an enemy to Amberglow and expendable. If you are supporting him, you best not make any mistakes or you're against him.

[[folder: Schwaltz]]
[[quoteright:184:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/schwaltz.png]]
A former playwright whose wife was killed through Arguste's maniacal schemes. His vengeance for his wife's death motivates him to team up with the [[TheChosenOne Chosen One]] to end Arguste once and for all.
----
* BestServedCold: Schwaltz has been trying to get revenge on Arguste for some time, but was unable to due to the latter's {{Cult Of Personality}}. Only when he allies with the [[TheChosenOne Chosen One]] is he able to realize his plots of revenge.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Schwaltz initially lived a happy and fulfilling life with his wife until Arguste stole her away and tortured her to death. As such, he's spent every hour of his life trying to enact his {{Revenge}}.
** [[spoiler:All of the above is tragically [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]] since Schwaltz never existed in the first place. In fact, Arguste made his persona's backstory so tragic so that the [[TheChosenOne Chosen One]] would sympathize with him.]]

* {{Revenge}}: Schwaltz's entire motivation is based on getting revenge for his wife's death.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Schwaltz delivers a couple of these directly to Arguste.
** [[spoiler:The above is made even more profound assuming Simeon's background of Arguste is correct since it essentially is Schwaltz yelling at himself why he deserves to die.]]

* AllTakeAndNoGive: Arguste's and her relationship is this. Francesca is solely being abused in order for Arguste to enact his plans for obtaining stimulation.
* AxCrazy: [[spoiler:After finding out she could have saved both Arguste and Mikhail by giving Mikhail the antidote, Francesca snaps and rationalizes that the reason she didn't save her child was that he was dead to her. ** [[spoiler:Even the actor masquerading as Arguste is this seeing as they convinced everybody that they were the real Arguste without anyone questioning him.]]
* DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler:As [[ImpliedTrope implied]] by Simeon, Schwaltz was the true personality of Arguste and [[DeathSeeker wished for death the entire time he existed]]. This would make it so he became Arguste out of blinding rage for his former lover being murdered.]]
* {{Expy}}: In part, he's one to [[spoiler:Simeon]] from the original game.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: Arguste's story is entirely this seeing as he was a failed playwright before he rose to fame and prominence.
* TheHedonist: One of the main reasons why Arguste [[SerialKiller became what he did]] in the first place was because he obtained "stimulation" from watching somebody commit a murder-suicide. Afterward, he was motivated to continue these feelings of "stimulation" by continuing to perform such atrocities on others.
* LackOfEmpathy: Considering how he tortures people to see how they act when in pain or dying, it's safe to say he doesn't really have too much empathy to share.
* MadArtist: Of the mad actor varient.
* TheSociopath: Having all five traits associated with sociopathy, he is one.
* SuicideByCop: [[spoiler:Arguste planned for the [[TheChosenOne Chosen One]] to eventually kill him and end his tortured existence as he no longer could bear the suffering he was instilling on others despite [[TheHedonist feeling pleasure for doing so]].]]
* ManipulativeBastard: He is one to everybody. Not only has he formed his own {{Cult Of Personality}} that listens to his every word, but he also smothers people in his abundance of renown to get them to do as he says.
* {{Masquerade}}: [[spoiler:The entire time, Arguste was secretly disguising themselves as the character, Schwaltz, and had his most devout follower playing himself all so that he could [[ManipulativeBastard psychologically manipulate]] the [[TheChosenOne Chosen One]].]]
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: Arguste is known across Orsterra as a masterful playwright and in turn has incredible popularity. In fact, this was one of the main reasons why he was able to set up a {{Cult Of Personality}} in the first place.

* DemotedToExtra: While he plays a much larger role in the base game, Simeon only appears as a character in a few scenes in this one. [[spoiler:He appears a bit later on in the Bestower of Glory storyline too when he (alongside Mattias) can be seen talking to the Bestower of Glory.]]
* MrExposition: Surprisingly, he's the one to go into depth about Arguste's backstory. Granted, he also immediately claims he just [[ConsummateLiar made up the entire thing]], but it's [[ImpliedTrope implied]] otherwise.

* PrincessClassic: She is one for the most part.
* VirginInAWhiteDress: Araune mainly wears white in her attire signifying her relative innocence in comparison to the atrocities of her father's actions. The beloved Lion General of Edolas who garners much of the public's support. Recently betrothed to Princess Erika, the people look towards him for guidance instead of Pardis III due to his natural charisma.
----
* {{Foil}}: He's one to General Crauser. He's much more trusting than his counterpart in addition to having a {{Friendly Rivalry}} with him. He's also a bit more optimistic about the future of Edolas and serves his king (who's his father-in-law) and wife rather than the country.
* KnightInShiningArmor: He is one for the people of Edolas.
* MasterSwordsman: Befitting his station in the army, the people of Edolas largely regard him as one.

* FriendlyRivalry: He shares one with General Mahrez.
* MyCountryRightOrWrong: Crauser is loyal to his country and fights for it despite knowing that not all of its actions are done with the best intentions. [[spoiler:Yet, he eventually softens and begins fighting for what he believes in rather than for his king as evidenced by his act of treason in letting Araune leave Edolas with the [[TheChosenOne Chosen One]].]]

* TheDrifter: L happens to just meander around the world hoping to do good. He mostly frequents Edolas (the kingdom he was born in) since he knows of Pardis III's evil and wishes to bring aid to its citizens.
* {{Foil}}: To Shalal. The latter is much more outgoing than L's reserved attitude and the two often come to different outlooks on the same event. Granted, there are many similarities between the two as well. For one, [[spoiler:they're both [[KingIncognito actually royalty]] disguising themselves as traveling warriors]], they're both encountered by the [[TheChosenOne Chosen One]] after they help out somebody on their travels (a practice both of them share regularly), and they both share a mutual dislike for Pardis III in addition to being swordsmen.

* TheDrifter: Much like L, he just happens to meander around Orsterra looking for passersby to help. He also tends to frequent his homeland of the Riverlands.
* TheKingslayer: [[spoiler:Upon seeing King Leeven for the first time, he immediately attacks him with an intent to kill. * TheGoodKing: He is one in contrast to Pardis III. Not only is he loved by his people, but he also primarily acts upon his morality rather than selfishness.
* KingIncognito: Moments before he's officially introduced, L sees through Solon's disguise of being [[spoiler:Trompeur]].
* PeaceConference: Out of all the nations in the Edolas-Leeven war, Solon was the person to begin peace negotiations and initiate a non-aggression agreement between the two countries and his own. Furthermore, he readily agrees to join a peace conference set up by Pardis III to resolve any diplomatic disputes.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: Solon takes many diplomatic and military-based decisions that actively affect the political situation of Orsterra in addition to directly leading his army in times of war. He's also one of the first people to set up peace talks between the surrounding nations and regularly takes action for the protection of his people.

----
* AmbitionIsEvil: As the antithesis of his character, Pardis III's ambition to become the most wealthy, powerful, and renowned person in the world fuels his evil actions.
* ArchnemesisDad: He is one to his two daughters. Neither approves of how he's going about his policies of war and both believe that the citizens' lives matter more than their king.
* BigBad: Of the base game, Pardis III was the final boss of the game seeing as the Master of All storyline was only accessible after completing all the other "Master of..." storylines.
* EldritchAbomination: [[spoiler:He [[OneWingedAngel transforms into two versions of an otherworldly monster]] through using the power of his ring.]]
* EvilOverlord: Simply put, he is one; especially in comparison to the other rulers of Orsterra.
* TheEvilPrince: Before becoming king, his evil ambitions were noticed by his father. In turn, his father told his rightful heir, Oswald, that he should stay away from his brother in fear of his life. Unfortunately, Pardis III poisoned Oswald mere days after their father's death and became king.
* GreenEyedMonster: Pardis is most exemplified by his envy for other people's influence.
* MightMakesRight: A central philosophy Pardis III adheres to. In order to succeed in his view, he must be the most powerful person alive, otherwise, he needs to improve.
* OneWingedAngel: [[spoiler:While most ring-bearers already have one transformation that they perform, Pardis III has two. This means that he has 3 phases unlike the two phases of every other final boss of a storyline.]]
* PrincelingRivalry: Pardis III was initially the second-born prince of Edolas before he poisoned his brother out of envy and assumed his position of inheritance.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: When in all-out-war, Pardis III is on the front lines along with his soldiers so that he could better see the effects of the battle being waged. In effect, he's able to inspire them from right then and there to boost their morales.
* SiblingMurder: Pardis III murders his brother in order to assume control over the throne of Edolas.

* PurpleIsPowerful: Queen Tatrock is associated almost exclusively with the color purple. From her clothing, [[PetMonstrosity pet]], and soldiers' uniforms, she is surrounded by purple imagery.
* RightHandAttackDog: She owns one. Although, [[PetMonstrosity it definitely isn't a dog...]]

!!Bestower of Glory

[[folder:Sazantos]]
[[quoteright:237:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sazantos.png]]
The Head Protectorate of the God Rings whose duty is maintaining their safety and protection. He's noble and faithful to the Church of the Sacred Flame and fights with undying loyalty to Aelfric.
----
* EarlyBirdCameo: Before the Master of All storyline, the [[TheChosenOne Chosen One]] meets with Sazantos to seal away the God Rings they've collected at the Isle of Orsa. Considering how the Bestower of Glory storyline is only available after completion of the Master of All storyline, you encounter him quite early on from his official appearance.

* ContinuityNod: [[spoiler:Sazantos was actually friends with Graham Crossford back when he was a member of the Church of the Sacred Flame. Before he set out on his apothecary journeys, the two got along great.]]
* TheFettered: He fights purely for the Church of the Sacred Flame and lets their morals shape his own. In effect, he acts in accordance with Aelfric's will.
* GoodIsNotSoft: Despite being renowned for his good faith and actions, he's still [[ThePaladin a fighter who's trained in combat for the protection of the Church of Sacred Flame]].
* IncorruptiblePurePureness: Despite being surrounded by the evils he encounters on his travels, his faith is unshakeable. Even when [[spoiler:he's face to face with Lyblac and nearly killed by her,]] he never loses his faith in Aelfric.

[[folder:Rondo]]

An energetic and ambitious warrior who's the apprentice of Sazantos. While's he's a bit rash, he's nevertheless eager and more than capable of holding his own.
----
* HotBlooded: Much to Sazantos' dismay, Rondo is a bit bull-headed and doesn't tend to think through matters before charging in.
* TheLancer: He's the [[RedOniBlueOni Red Oni counterpart]] to [[TheLeader Sazantos]] and the overall Lancer of the crew they assemble against the Bestower of Glory.
* KnightInShiningArmor: Rondo cares quite a bit about morals and holding true to them.
* ThePaladin: Much like his superior, Rondo is a paladin who fights for the Church of the Sacred Flame.
* SketchySuccessor: In comparison to Sazantos, Rondo has quite a bit to go to match his superior's strength and resolve to become the Head Protectorate.

[[caption-width-right:350:[[labelnote:Click here to show how she normally looks]]https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_2021_12_22_at_70119_pm.png]][[/labelnote]]

Cerafina, going by the alias of Fina, is the Bestower of Glory. While she initially was a faithful cleric to the Church of the Sacred Flames, she has since turned to worship Galdera and attempts to reawaken him so that he may wreak havoc upon Orsterra. Granted, her true feelings of wishing to help others are suppressed heavily by herself, but that doesn't stop her from running her own cult and manipulating others to obtain her desired results.
----
* {{Cult}}: Is the leader of one worshipping Galdera.
* FallenAngel: Just look to the right and see how the angel is fighting you in a pit full of fire and lava. ''Gee, I wonder...''
* LightIsNotGood: Yeah, the angel woman leading a suicidal cult might not be the most morally-upright character.
* ManipulativeBastard: Not only was she able to evade detection as a cult leader for so long, but she also manipulated Titus into destabilizing the Church's authority in addition to leading attacks against the Church without being suspected. Furthermore, she was able to hide her plans from Rinyu the entire time so that she could use her as a [[HumanSacrifice sacrifice]] for Galdera.
* MeaningfulName: A seraph is the highest-ranking form of an angel in many Abrahamic religions (more so to Christianity). Cerafina in turn is a name resembling that of a seraph, and she transforms into an angel.
* OneWingedAngel: Funnily enough, she transforms into an angel before fighting [[TheChosenOne the Chosen One]] and Sazantos. As of yet, she is the only ring-bearer who never uses her ring to transform seeing as she naturally had the power to do so on her own.
* WingedHumanoid: She is one. Specifically, she sprouts angel wings from her back.

[[folder:The True Bestower of Glory]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_2021_12_22_at_65149_pm.png]]
Secretly manipulating Cerafina from the shadows, Lyblac is the Bestower of Glory path's [[BigBad final boss]]. As cunning as she is ruthless, she faces off against [[TheChosenOne the Chosen One]] and has her plans of awakening her father be rendered unsuccessful.
----
* BigBad: She serves as the true final antagonist of the Bestower of Glory storyline and delivers an eventually-fatal blow to Cerafina moments before fighting [[TheChosenOne the Chosen One]].
* TheChessmaster: Lyblac was able to manipulate several events all at once by using Cerafina to further her own goals. In addition, she also utilized the actions of Simeon and Mattias which further play into the original game to awaken her father.
* HPToOne: One of her scripted attacks causes the entire party to have their hit points reduced to 1 before Sazantos completely heals everyone in the party.
* ManipulativeBastard: If you thought Cerafina was the grand mastermind, think again. All along, Lyblac had been guiding Cerafina along to her desired outcome by gaslighting Cerafina into believing she could resurrect her father. In turn, Cerafina created her own cult under Lyblac's influence and played right into the latter's hand.
* WreathedInFlames: The entire boss fight takes place with Lyblac wreathed in infernal flames.

[[folder:The Bestower Of All]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_2022_01_08_at_11849_am.png]]
The Bestower of All, Sazantos, is the [[BigBad true final antagonist]] of the game. The entire time, Sazantos was actually an agent of Galdera's and merely rose to power under the guise of worshipping the Church of the Sacred Flame. After stealing the God Rings, he sought out ambitious people who would corrupt the rings' power so that he could reawaken Galdera and remove the seal on the Gate of Finis.
----
* BigBad: All of the game's events are related in some way to Sazantos' actions of stealing the God Rings and giving them to others who he knew would use them for evil.
** He supplied Simeon and Cerafina rings which were then gifted away (to Cerafina herself and Titus) causing the Master of Power and Bestower of Glory storylines.
** He caused Helminia to rise to prominence after obtaining her God Ring which in turn motivated Oscar to continue his massacres to end the disparity of wealth (in turn causing the Master of Wealth and Bestower of Wealth storylines).
** He aided both Tatrock and Pardis III in their schemes to conquer Orsterra by bestowing them rings and allowing them to accumulate power for their ambitions (causing the Master of All and Bestower of Power storylines).
** Finally, he supplied Arguste his God Ring after seeing his glory spread across the continent despite him being a psychopath. While this didn't directly cause the Master of Glory storyline to happen, it most certainly compelled it indirectly by causing Arguste to notice a fellow ringbearer (the [[TheChosenOne Chosen One]]) and causing him to devise a plot to obtain stimulation.

* WrongLineOfWork: Take a quick look at Stead. Does he ''look like'' a cleric? To further compound matters, Stead uses [[CastingAShadow dark magic]] in battle despite being a priest of the Church of the Sacred Flame.

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_2021_12_19_at_33044_pm.png]]

A self-proclaimed "noble bandit" who has taken a shine to steal from the rich and give to the poor.
* TakeUpMySword: [[spoiler: Interestingly [[InvertedTrope Inverted]]. Wingate's uncle explicitly writes that he should not follow in his footsteps after passing away. In fact, he states that Wingate should follow his own path in his post-mortem letter.]]
