* NoSympathy: Downplayed. When Peter Parker enters that Sanctum Sanctorum in ''Film/SpiderManNoWayHome'', Wong briefly expresses annoyance with his unexpected intrusion, and mildly grouses at Peter's inability to keep his identity a secret. He does at least allow Strange to cast a memory-wiping spell, so long as he's kept out of the action.

** When Wong is forced to take [[spoiler: Wanda]] to Mount Wundagore in ''Film/DoctorStrangeInTheMultiverseOfMadness'', he tells her about the demon Chthon and how his spells were transcribed into the Darkhold.

* SpitefulSpit: When [[spoiler: Wanda]] tries to interrogate him about his knowledge of the Darkhold, Wong spits on the ground before telling her that he'd rather die than reveal anything to her.

* WouldHitAGirl: Wong tries to cast some magical attacks against [[spoiler: Wanda Maximoff]] when she comes to Kamar-Taj, and later he entraps her in an energy prism with the Souls of the Damned during the final battle. Justified, since she has become a particularly dangerous enemy by that point.

* DeadAlternateCounterpart: While his main universe counterpart is alive and well, [[spoiler: he gets killed alongside the rest of the universe as a result of Strange Supreme undoing the Absolute Point in time.]]

* DeathByAdaptation: Is killed by getting beheaded by his own portal.

* SeenItAll: [[spoiler:When Strange possesses the rotting corpse of one of Defender Strange, Wong's only reaction was: "I don't even want to know."]]

* GlassCannon: Despite being one of Kamar-Taj's most competent sorcerers, he's still human and is capable of getting killed by the same things that could kill a normal human as shown when he gets killed by a piece of debris fighting off the Zealots and has to be resurrected by Strange through the Time Stone. That said, ''Film/ShangChiAndTheLegendOfTheTenRings'' does have him take a punch from the Abomination without being too worse for wear.

''She-Hulk: Attorney at Law'' shows that while the two of them were really only fighting to help Wong become Sorcerer Supreme, Wong does care enough for Emil to defend him in court for his actions.

* BadassBaritone: He has a deep, gravelly voice that adds to his intimidating demeanor.

* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: In the comics, he is Strange's servant and non-magical sidekick. In the MCU, they're both Masters of the Mystic Arcs and for that, equals and BashBrothers during their battles in ''Film/DoctorStrange'', ''Film/AvengersInfinityWar'' and ''Film/AvengersEndgame''. His subsequent appearances give him a little more levity and friendliness overall, as he expresses HypocriticalHumor [[ItMakesSenseInContext regarding tuna melts]] in ''Film/AvengersInfinityWar'', and inexplicably joins a fighting ring in ''Film/ShangChiAndTheLegendOfTheTenRings'', complaining that his opponent is hitting him too hard.

* PopculturalOsmosisFailure: To help break the tension created by Wong's stoic demeanor, Strange keeps making quips comparing him to other "one name" celebrities like Music/{{Adele}} or Music/{{Eminem}} only to be met with stony indifference. Strange reaches the point of exasperation when Wong doesn't even react to Music/{{Beyonce}}. Less than a minute later, Wong is shown listening to "Single Ladies" on his [=MP3=] player, and looks somewhat confused at what he's hearring.
