Thanks to Kakyoin's intervention, he gets to live as the Killing Games never happened in this setting. He himself also saved his older brother, Daiya Owada, from being killed in a traffic accident by awakening his Stand in time.

He also suffered from stress over fulfilling all his promises, including the promise made to his older brother to keep the Crazy Diamonds gang together. All these issues led to Mondo killing Chihiro in a fit of rage. Here, Mondo was able to save his brother by awakening his Stand, Howlin' Wolf, before Daiya got killed by an oncoming car, preventing the issues he would suffer in canon from ever surfacing.

* AdaptationalBadass: He was a normal high school student among Ultimates, but here he has a Stand. Since it's noted that all Ultimates have a Stand, that shows that Makoto is definitely equal to any of them.

* BewareTheNiceOnes: He's the same AllLovingHero from canon, but if someone proves to be a criminal or otherwise unrepentantly dangerous he will not hesitate to take them down.

* FriendToAllChildren: She still winds up as a babysitter for the Warriors of Hope kids, but due to changed circumstances she winds up as a much better role model. It helps that the kids have much more stable family lives.

She also mentioned in a conversation with Makoto that she did "terrible things" to achieve her dream as an IdolSinger. Here, she doesn't have these issues due to changed circumstances and a changed setting.
