* RealityEnsues: He represents the downside of the Ministry not knowing much about the way Kindred society works, demonstrating an ignorance about the difference between the Sabbat and the Camarilla, not knowing how the Tradition of Domain works, and not realizing that the [[LaserGuidedAmnesia Ministry's way]] of upholding the {{Masquerade}} might be preferable to [[KilledToUpholdTheMasquerade the Camarilla's]]. While that's hardly his fault, it does present a problem to Rose, who has to perform a balancing act between saying too much and too little when she wants something from the Ministry.

* {{Seer}}: Aside from conveniently having five dots of [[PsychicPowers Auspex]], she knows ''several'' Thaumaturgical rituals to aid her clairvoyant powers. Add in her [[MagicMirror primary Thaumaturgy path]], and she becomes walking ParanoiaFuel.

* TheDreaded: As one player aptly [[LampshadeHanging put it]], "A [[ZeroPercentApprovalRating Baali]] could walk into the room and threaten to diablerize all of us to our faces, and none of us would have the balls to lay a finger on him. And even if the Baali tried, Elezandra's fist would be rammed through his heart before he could extend his fangs, anyway."

* ByronicHero: He's a [[DemonicPossession possessed]] wizard who studied dark magic on the side and is ([[YourCheatingHeart literally]]) in bed with the Sabbat. Keep in mind, he's a Hogwarts Professor (for [[{{Irony}} Defense Against the Dark Arts]]).

* YourCheatingHeart: Though, granted, it's not really his fault; that's entirely the fault of the blood bond he shares with Maria. His love for Teagan, on the other hand, is one hundred percent genuine.

The head of the Ministry of Magic's Vampire Liaison Office, a branch of the Ministry formed at the insistence of [[BigGood Hermione Granger]] as a part of her program to reach out to sentient magical creatures, including vampires. [[{{Understatement}} He doesn't like his new job.]]

The Astronomy professor at Hogwarts, descended from an ancient pureblood wizarding family that opposed Voldemort. Born with a Slytherin brain and a Gryffindor heart, she believes that the Muggle and Wizarding Worlds are intrinsically linked, and in making both safer. [[UnscrupulousHero By any means necessary.]]

Tropes related to Quinn:

* AntiHero: She's not above resorting to dark magic (such as [[{{Hellfire}} Fiendfyre]]) when she believes the ends justify the means.
* BloodSport: She wants to bring back dueling lessons at Hogwarts, only this time as even more of [[FightClubbing a wizarding Fight Club]]. She has openly floated the idea of outing Dristan in order to get him fired so that she can have his job, and bring back the dueling lessons herself.
* CharacterDeath: Died when [[KillItWithFire her estate burned down]].
* ConvictedByPublicOpinion: When the Daily Prophet caught wind of what she was doing, an editorial put her through the ringer, outright calling her a dark wizard. Needless to say, even if it turns out she somehow survived, her reputation is tarnished, probably beyond repair.
* DeathByIrony: She ([[KryptoniteFactor correctly]]) deduced that [[{{Hellfire}} Fiendfyre]] would be the bane of the existence of any vampire this side of an Antediluvian or a Methuselah, and therefore tried to master the spell. She apparently failed. [[KillItWithFire Badly.]]
* DroppedABridgeOnHer: Most of the game found out about her death through a Daily Prophet article.
* FanNickname: Some of the players started referring to her as "Magic [[Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer Buffy]]" after her LockAndLoadMontage just prior to her joining in the fight against Rene Roux-Dubois.
* FantasticRacism: [[AvertedTrope Averted]], her family is actually well-known for treating their house elves better than most, with some even suspecting that they gave them wands.
* InTheBlood: She's a distant descendant of Maria Del Belmonte, which is probably the ''only'' reason she tolerates Last Rites as much as she does.
* InsistentTerminology: She never uses the word 'wizard' or 'witch,' instead using the word 'mage.' This is actually a MythologyGag, seeing as how ''TabletopGame/MageTheAscension'' isn't a part of this universe.
* MagicVersusScience: [[AvertedTrope Averted]]. Actually, she sees the use in both magic and in muggle science, and believes that both warrant equal study. Unsurprising, given that she's an astronomer.
* TheParanoiac: Just look at her sleeping arrangements. Of course, given what she knows about Kindred society, one could very easily argue that she's ProperlyParanoid.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: How she justifies her use of dark magic and dark rituals. Voldemort's defeat does ''not'' mean the defeat of dark wizards in general, and now that vampires (or worse) are walking right in the front doors of Hogwarts and Diagon Alley, she - and the rest of the world, if they'd just wake the hell up - needs to be prepared.
* SillyRabbitIdealismIsForKids: Views the Ministry's new policy towards vampires to be naive at best and [[GoodIsDumb stupid and possibly suicidal]] at worst. For all of the pretenses the Camarilla has made at showing good will toward the Ministry of Magic and for all of the gestures Mary has made at trying to make the Sabbat look like the vampire good guys, she believes that vampires are just using the Ministry's generosity to their advantage. She is ''very clearly'' not wrong about this.
* TheUnmasquedWorld: Her ultimate dream is a world where the Wizarding World and the muggle world are one. Ironically enough, when pretty much the same thing happened between the Wizarding World and vampiric society, she saw it as a potential recipe for disaster.
* UnscrupulousHero: She wouldn't think twice about using one of the Unforgivable Curses if the situation called for it, and if she knew she could get away with it. She's just a few steps shy of TheUnfettered.
* WhatTheHellHero: Her reaction to Aisha being up to her eyeballs in the Sabbat affairs, and that she was dating their newest recruit. [[UpToEleven Just wait until she finds out Aisha was embraced.]]

!!Matilda 'Mattie' Adamson
Formerly Matilda Williams, a soon-to-be First Year Hufflepuff at Hogwarts. Orphaned at birth and raised in the muggle world, she was later formally adopted by Dristan and Teagan.

Tropes pertaining to Matilda:

* BreakTheCutie: Being told that her friend Sarah, whom she had believed all of this time to be alive and had sent letters to for years, was DeadAllAlong. Matilda still refuses to believe it. Almost made worse by Dristan's terrible accident, but he thankfully pulled through.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: She [[LaserGuidedAmnesia doesn't remember it]], but if she did, she'd probably still be traumatized by what happened to her fellow orphans at the orphanage. She instead believes she was that there was a gas leak and nobody was harmed, and not a murderous ReligionOfEvil with no qualms about killing children who left her as the SoleSurvivor.
* HappilyAdopted: Being adopted by a wizard and a changeling, and later finding out that you're a witch, yourself? It's hitting the childhood dream lottery.
* HatesBeingAlone: Ultimately, this is what terrifies her: The idea that Dristan could die or Teagan won't pay attention to her anymore once the twins are born, boiling down to a fear of being alone.
* {{Fangirl}}: She absolutely idolizes Thulile, considering her to be her inspiration for all of her artistic talent.
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: Her traumatic memories of the night the orphanage was attacked were extracted by MACUSA and placed in a vial, which is now in Dristan and Teagan's possession. Why the memories were extracted still isn't clear, but for the sake of Matilda's mental health, it's probably a good thing.
* OneSteveLimit: Part of the reason why she was given the name Mattie: People kept getting her confused with Matilda Harrow whenever somebody said 'Matilda' in the Discord.
* TheUnfavorite: Afraid of becoming this, after Teagan became pregnant with twins.

!!Jillian Penrose
A sixth-year Ravenclaw born to two high-ranking members of the Ministry of Magic. Known for wearing [[GogglesDoNothing goggles]] as a fashion accessory, has a rather unhealthy obsession with vampires, going to lengths far above and beyond what ''anybody'' would recommend in her quest to learn more about them.

They would return home with anything from glowing horns growing out of their heads to extra limbs, perhaps desensitizing her to the fear that ''should'' come with wanting to jump headfirst into the World of Darkness.
* OccultDetective: In a game filled with ''actual'' {{Occult Detective}}s from ''TabletopGame/CallOfCthulhu'', she still stands out as an amateur example of this, when it comes to vampires.
* OhCrap: Turned sheet white upon hearing that Rose knew about her meeting with David and Aisha.
* PoorCommunicationKills: Her first vampire-seeking misadventure had her meeting Rose and Nikolaus. [[SinkOrSwimMentor Rose]] said that if Jillian truly wanted to know more about them, she had to show that she was willing to earn it, and not expect her to just hand her information on a silver platter. Cue Jillian going out looking for ''more'' vampires, only this time, she had to be rescued by David from a couple of hungry neonates.
* SeekerArchetype: She's aware that there's still a lot the Wizarding World doesn't know about vampires, and she's made it her mission to find out as much as she can about them. Whether or not that's ''wise'' for a wizarding student, on the other hand, is a matter for debate, but so far she's been lucky enough to find the ones who either have a vested interest in staying on the good side of the Ministry of Magic, or just WouldNotHurtAChild.
